I recently saw the Transatlanticism 20 year anniversary concert and it really reminded me of just how pretty the piano melodies for the band really are. Now it's a toss up if I want to learn this or Passenger Seat for myself, and you've got videos for both.
In the original recording there is a single piano note in the background that repeats through the entire song. Do you know what note that is? Sounds like Ben is playing a single key over and over and it’s layered on top
Is is lower or higher? It could be an Ab, not sure I'm hearing it though. There's that high Eb that they play over an over, but I don't think you're talking about that note.
Love it but sort of confused. You say play it three times but the second time play it another way. So glad you made this video, love the song. But constructive criticism, its confusing when you say contradictory things. Or maybe im an idiot lol
Fair point! I probably explained it wrong. I mainly just try and teach the basic part of the song but don't really show how to play the song end to end. So you definitely have to listen along to the song to figure out whenever to switch to playing the other parts. The actual song structure can be more confusing. But I figure if you get the basic gist of the song then you can figure out putting the parts in the places and playing everything the right number of times. Thanks for the comment! Definitely not an idiot!
@@DanMarx I appreciate you making the video. I am now able to play a good portion of it. New to piano, but it's healing for my soul. So thanks for helping I'm that
Wish I could tell you how much this means to me. Always wanted to play this
Thank you for this! This song has some of the most beautiful piano i've ever heard. This song got me through some tough times.

The first portion really confuses me on the order.
What part is confusing? Maybe I can sort it out.
