Piano tutorial for Passenger Seat by Death Cab for Cutie. This song is off of their fourth full-length studio album Transatlanticism. What I can say about this song that you don't already know. If you're here, you've probably thought, hey that would be really cool song to learn how to play on the piano. And you're right, no matter your skill level, this is one song that with a little bit of practice you can have under your belt in just an afternoon.
So I didn't actually figure this song out until recently, but knew if would make a great addition to the channel. It's pretty straightforward in how it's played, there aren't a lot of complicated timing parts to get right. As usual, I picked out the song mostly from the album version but also listened to some of Ben's Live from Home videos to help pick up any nuances I couldn't figure out from the album. And I'm sure this tutorial has been done a hundred times already. I don't usually seek out which songs have and haven't been taught on UA-cam, I just record songs that I like to play, whether it is better or worse than what's already out there, doesn't really bother me either way. I have fun making the recordings and hopefully you get to learn a cool new song you play for your friends and family.

This is such a beautiful gorgeous song. The chord changes are so perfect. I have been a long time Death Can fan. And I moved to Seattle Wa recently to peruse a music career because of them and Nirvana. I will be seeing Death Can and Postal Service playing in Seattle for the very first time next month.
