I loved the pilot and I hope that the momentum of the series does not die, but only get better. The drunk, irate mother reminds me of Angela Basset, which by the way would have played the hell out of that roll also.
emmett's (jacob) mom is also claudia from how to get away with murder ! the woman who beat up annalise while she was in jail , but ended being her client for the class action suit . i also thought coogie was a girl in the beginning , so it threw me off when he first spoke . haha . this first episode was very solid . they fit alot into one episode & left me intrigued to find out what happens next .
Man that's so sad about Cool G. Don't want Brandon to fuck up...he has a chance for a good life; I don't want him to fuck up and get locked up. Damn I'm already getting attached to these characters. Good show.

It was so so good! Being a homie like yourself, I really enjoyed seeing places that I recognized. So well written and acted. Really proud. I said the same thing about the chick in the resturant. Suspect. The sad part, was the 2 deaths. But, it was real as promised.
The show had me shook. Everything about it was good to the killings to the police investigation. Coogie was funny as shit “ this that police brutality shit”😂😂😂😂 and I did think Brandon’s boss wife wanted him the way she was looking at him had me side eyeing

Just was able to see this pilot Ashley and I have to be honest, it's sad and depressing. It's like these people have no hope, like everything is going to end in tragedy. Like how that man took the life of another child??? It was well written and acted but damn, it really made me sad. I can't take the assault on my soul every week if nothing positive comes from their lives.
The little kids cursing in the show was worse part about it, it made me uncomfortable. I hate seeing little kids talk like but other than that, it was good.
The show is authentic , if you gonna make a Show about Chicago then this is how kids talk nowadays , They kept it 100 and That's what got me especially being from Chicago ... I give it 2 thumbs up !
