    About Tranexamic Acid, Hada Labo has the Premium Whitening Lotion Light (it's the watery toner actually, Japanese call toners lotion), the one in the dark blue bottle.It has Tranexamic Acid as the 4th ingredient. It is a great choice to begin.
    Side note: Hada Labo has another whitening lotion in bright blue bottle with Arbutin.
    Great clip anyway ☺️☺️☺️

    I've been using Faded by Topicals for 6 weeks. I definitely feel it's formulated for acne prone skin. It has a lot of different brightening ingredients. Also used PTR'S pro strength and it too works beautifully ( but costs twice as much and isn't cruelty free as far as I know). I've also used the good molecules one which is a great entry level tranexamic acid.

    After a double cleansing at night, I squeeze inkey list tranexamic acid, ordinary azelaic acid and geek & gorgeous a game 10 retinal into the palm of my hand and mix together. Then I apply to my face, neck and chest at night and then cover with a nice whipped moisturizer. It's been working out extremely well, no irritation at all.

      The problem with youtube channels like this one is the vlogger only makes money by the viewers spending on the products he recommends and links. So he will never tell you the truth, that Tranexamic acid is best taken orally, not topically. As it’s a prescribed product, he will never be able to make money by telling people to take Tranexamic acid orally. The difference between taking TA orally or in a cream/serum is like trying to wash your car with one cup of water or putting it into a car wash machine. Yes, that cup of water will get parts of the car clean (like seeing some areas of the skin have tiny improvements from using a very expensive TA serum, thats only if it’s in a good formula, carefully combined with suited ingredients in your routine) but putting it in a car wash machine will pretty much get the whole car clean (like seeing the whole area of your face have nearly all the hyperpigmentation completely fade away by simply taking one pill a day).

      Vitamin C and Tranexamic acid tackles hyperpigmentation in different ways. Think of them as flour and sugar to bake a cake. One can’t be better or worse than the other as they do different things. Using both will get better effects. Vitamin C will take a while to show it’s effects and is more of a preventative, so using it now will make your skin look better in the future (like sunscreen).

    Tranexamic acid helped my stubborn acne scars fade faster than usual. My scars usually stay for up to 6months (if I use actives to help fade it) to 1 year. Tranexamic acid helped me get completely rid of them in around 3-4 months. I honestly thought I was seeing things lol my PIH is usually very stubborn and won’t budge! I feel like any new PIH I get now is lighter than the ones I’d usually get.

    I’m from Brazil and Skinceuticals is so much cheaper there. I could get their Discoloration Defense for 45 euros which is still pricey but not as much as the absurd that it costs in Germany (up to 100 euros). I’ll give it a try because it comes with a good amount of Niacinamide and I’d share it with my boyfriend who needs for the same reason I’d use it. But he has oilier skin than me so I might as well try the Paula’s Choice if the Skinceuticals doesn’t agree with my skin.
    I have very sensitive skin and can’t use vitamin c at all (my Rosacea has all sorts of flare up which I don’t get from azelaic acid or Niacinamide). I’m a bit wary of using Transxamic acid + Azelaic acid in the same routine, but I think I’ll introduce it in my AM routine and keep the Azelaic from Paula’s choice in my evening routine
    Sending lots of love!

      Hi! The order shouldn’t really matter, they will penetrate your skin regardless. Just make sure your skin is 100% dry when you put the retinol on (preferably wait several minutes to be sure). Extra moisture and hydration is never wrong if you want to combat the dryness from retinol, but maybe try without moisturizer first and see how your skin feels. ☺️

    My introduction to Tranexamic acid was the Murad Replenishing Multi Acid Peel. First used it about a year ago, and still love it. It doesn't disclose the % of AHA, BHA or TXA, which is a bit of a bummer, and it is a very strong exfoliant, but can't disagree with the results I saw! I'd love to know what your thoughts are if you get the chance to try it.

    Just in case anybody is looking for a medical grade option, I use and highly, highly recommend the AnteAge MD Brightener. It's lipid based, frangrance free, and has lots of other brightening ingredients to support the Tranexamic Acid, such as vitamin c, niacinamide, licorice root, acetyl glucosamine, and morus alba leaf extract. A one ounce bottle will cost you $130, and I get 3 months usage when applying 2 pumps every evening.

    I've been using exaglow serum twice a day for about 3 months, i haven't noticed a thing, but it might be the spfs i've been using the couple of months. So now i'm with heavy duty high ppd so i can evaluate it's efficacy better. I didn't expect much but any minor lightening would have been great. I'll keep using it until i finish the bottle. I added the to arbutin plus ascorbic acid recently. I'm hoping to see some improvements. What's your opinion and experience on the difference in efficacy of ascorbic acid and alfa arbutin compared to the alfa arbutin alone? I've used to alfa arbutin in the past and it had some minor lightening effects. After i finish both products i'm buying repigment, and if still nothing i'm off to hydroquinone.

    Hi Rob I have been looking at tranexamic acid as my next rosacea fighting active, as it's apparently very effective in treating PIE. PIH isn't really an issue for me - I'm super pale and Scottish with a few freckles, but they don't really bother me. The red marks do though. TA can apparently help a little with visible blood vessels too (I can't afford laser etc). I want something without a load of vitamin c though (as my skin isn't a fan of it) and at enough of a concentration to really work. The IL has been very hit and miss lately, so I'll look for some other things to try. Face theory put vitamin c into everything - even their new sensitive skin moisturiser has vitamin c in it. I may look to some Asian beauty brands and see what they have. I like licorice, niacinamide, azelaic acid etc, but don't want a load of other actives in the formulation due to having such reactive skin/rosacea/eczema. I also may look at the superdrug one (once my local store reopens). Best wishes.

      @MadAboutSkin  3 роки тому +1

      Loraine I think this would be a good option for you for sure as I am with you the cost of laser is so off-putting and this could get you some good results.. @@brunosilveirapellitteri7 Thanks maybe. The Superdrug one was too irritating, so I would have to try a sample of the PC first before investing in it. It has around a 3% concentration I believe, which may just be too much for me - as I said I would need a sample lol. x

      @@lorainemcgillivray77 true! Maybe the PC wouldn’t bother because of the formulation as it seems to be formulated with ingredients that soothe the skin but always worth trying out samples if you manage to get a hold of it!
