You never cease to amaze with the projects you take on. The amount of technique and experience it takes to come up with the setup for those 4 fixtures in the deep drawer and the short amount of time you did it, wow.
That’s a fair job! Not sure what I’m more jealous of, the tool boxes you cut or the number of tools they have! Keep up the good work, you make it look so effortless!
WOW! Hey Rugby you in the big leagues now! oh and thanks for wishing us a Happy Independence day, we're doing smashingly over here in the colonies ... Brilliant!
I hope the Exceler8 Motorsport guys say ‘Make the Noise’ Project Binky style whenever they use the digital level as they prep each race car. Love the fact you included a safe place to store wheel nuts to stop them rolling away.
After ordering your starter kit and only completing 4 draws in my tool chest, and now watching you do all these draws it makes you appreciate how long it takes to work out where everything is going to go. I have to say though I’m pretty impressed with how everything looks now in my van and will definitely be buying some more to finish my bottom box off! Great product and thanks 👍🏼
Great video of two favourites firstly tools followed by BTCC Racing. The different setups and tools really showed the diversity of use for the shadow foam
Very impressive set up. It also goes to show what goes into the support for these racing teams. Liked the battery storage clips too I will look into them.
Another fantastic set up. Brilliant effort. Looking forward to starting my wee set up soon. Need to gain a bit of strength first, but thankfully getting there. Your video's have helped keep me sane during a difficult time. Thank you
Love your content and each show is so different, as a multitrade carpenter I have so many tools and don't know where to start it would be great to see a show on different building trades ...... keep up the good work
@@ShadowFoam it really does, it just looks professional and its easy to find tools and see if any are missing. really love the videos and the quirky tool videos as well. as a carpenter in NZ having you highlight these tools and foam insterts is showing me whats out there in the world thank you
@@ShadowFoam I work in the bicycle industry as a mechanic. My travel box is a Pelican 1560 and it needs some ideas on foam and layouts as we have a wide range of tools we use.
Wow what a job, that looked brilliant. I wish my workshop was that organised hehehe. I loved the battery mounts, hadn't seen those before, followed your link and ordered some up straight away.
Just ordered our first Shadow Foam products for our Makita boxes - can't wait to get on with organising the messed up tool cases. Cheers from France 🇫🇷
Very nice setup. The foam just makes the tools pop and it’s not just for looks though, you can tell immediately if something is missing. Fantastic project and fantastic project in Shadow Foam
I love this layout and video. I love this layout and video. I love this layout and video. I love this layout and video. Oh wait - I didn't need to say that four times. 🤪. Thanks Jonathan!
What makes the difference with these projects is the layout. Its gotta b functional easy to use an pleasing to the eye. That's the real skill, then the cutting out becomes the easy part.
Hi Jonathan I love your videos as I love collecting tools and stuff Down my allotment I use wolf garten garden tools which is different attachments that fit on a pole I've been thinking about making a shadow foam wall to store them all in
Great video. When doing the replicated cutouts, is there a quick way you have to copy the layout from one toolbox to the next? If it is multiple layers then I assume you just use the top layer as a template, but if it is only a single layer what then? Love the energy and enthusiasm you brought to this.
I personally hate foam inserts. I’m a field technician with limited space to store my tools and have the tools to work on a massive variety of machinery. So my tools get sorted broadly and thrown into drawers to minimise the amount of wasted space. This comes at the cost of taking a little bit longer to find the correct tools and I do spend a small amount of time digging around drawers like my spanners drawer to find what I need. I had foam inserts in my first toolbox, and they worked when I had a limited collection of tools and had more drawers to work with. But as I expanded and needed more specialized and more generalised tooling I found that loose sorting and letting them find their place to maximise space was better. Being a field tech means my tools are on a vehicle and are bouncing around so there’s no way of keeping shit sorted by just setting them down in a drawer. Dividers welded into the drawers to let me loose sort tools.
@@ShadowFoam The massive amount of shadow foam in the background was incredible. Great job organising all these tools. And you smuggled in some „Zollstöcke“ - well done ;-)
BTCC Racing needed a specialist to organize their stuff, well they have found the best person for this job. I think nobody can do it better than you.
That’s very kind mate, I was just chuffed to get the call! 👍

@@ShadowFoam Love watching how you organize each foam piece for differnet tools.
Have you ever tried to use a CNC to cut the foams? For big projects with several copies of the same model, it can be a good option.
