Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. It’s such a great performance. I loved how when Jimmy found them in the tent and told them to go back to the house, and the son said, “Finally,” the mom shuts him up by snapping her fingers at him. It is such a quick moment, but it says so much about what their family is like.

I actually don't hate them. I felt sorry for them. Yes, they embezzled, yes, they were idiots, yes they were in deep denial about what they had done. But, they're human and that's what this show and BB are all about: human beings making terrible mistakes trying to do what's in their best interest or the interest of those they love.

We see them as interesting and unique over their nature as violent criminals. But we all meet someone like betsy in life. The former, I got along with and he kinda liked me. The latter, they tend to love me at first and then hate me cuz at some point I call their bluff. It's a dirty job but it's gotta be done.

Early on I thought that Betsy wanted Craig to go to jail. I thought maybe she knew where the money was and had a new boyfriend or something. I was pretty surprised that she actually didn’t want Craig to go to jail.

Betsy was even crazy in Dexter, she plays crazy very well.
So, Betsy is definitely awful… she’s kinda cute in my opinion, but still awful. Craig actually seems like a really likable guy and I’d probably get along with him in real life. I think Betsy talked him into stealing the money, but that’s seems to be what the show is heavily hinting at.
