Sorry guys, the drummer is Maki, he’s into visual kei, performers who express themselves flamboyantly. A lot of Japanese bands are into that, like Versailles, a symphonic metal band. If you’re interested, check out their live performance of Faith and Decision!
So glad you guys have finally found this band, I knew you would love them! Marina is as talented as she is beautiful, my favorite singer along with Asami in Japan. Kikyo is awesome, one of the best guitarists in Japan, I could listen to him play all day. Next Mardelas song I recommend is my favorite song of theirs called Patriot Anthem. Crank it to 11 and rock out! 🤘🎸🎤🔥
Great Reaction! I havn't bought this live yet, but now its time. Great rythmsection, as it usually is in japanese bands, Marina has some voice and I really like the tone of this guitarplayer and to watch how smooth his lefthand are, its like watching Miyako a bit.
That'd be a fun super power. In Cleopatra where she just said "Guitar!" and instantly a solo comes forth. I wanna just be able to do that on the street at random. Walking along, red light at the crosswalk... "Guitar!" Boom. Killer solo.
Wow! I'm impressed. New to me but they have a very classic Rock sound, superb vocals, guitars and bass and, of course, a lot of great cymbals and drums. Both songs were great Rockin' live performances too, which is always the best proof of how good a band is.
Mardelas is a great band, they don't get the attention they deserve. A little more on Mao who works with Mardelas. Mao Yamamoto was originally the keyboardist of the power metal band Light Bringer. Fuki of Unlucky Morpheus was the lead singer for that band. As others have noted he also works with Lovebites, Lonesome Blue, and East of Eden. And yet another Japanese musician who started playing piano at 3.
There are a whole lot of Mardelas live videos. They are better than the MVs, imo. Whenever you want something to react to that will make you feel the rock/metal club vibe they are there. My favorite line from Marina is "What would you like to drink", totally authentic.
Marina is the singer. She is the former singer for Destrose. You know that band with Miho and Haruna of Lovebites. Marina is an amazing metal singer. Frankly, I like her better than Asami. Just to add, I think it's between Fuki (Unlucky Morpheus) and Marina for me. Both are just amazing metal singers.
