2021 Hyundai Elantra N TCR in action at Monza Circuit: Accelerations, Sound & Turbo Noises!

During the Italian round of the 2021 TCR Europe championship at Monza Circuit I recorded 4 new Hyundai Elantra N TCR cars of the Sébastien Loeb Racing team. The car is the last addition of Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing’s range of TCR cars and it has been built taking advantage of three years’ work and experience with the i30 N TCR and Veloster N TCR cars.
In line with the TCR regulations the Elantra N TCR is front-wheel drive and is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine derived from a brand new base engine taken from Hyundai’s family of road-going models, which is able to produce around 350 hp at 7,000 rpm and 450 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The car will share the same six-speed, paddle-shift operated gearbox as the other Hyundai TCR designs.

Seeing these TCR cars for the first time in person at Road America this year they really are impressive for what they are, and so much louder than I would have expected! All the drivers seem to really send it in that series too, I had more fun watching the TCR race that weekend than the Lamborghini Super Trofeo race honestly...lol.

The kerbs are my speed increase, hit them right the less surface you run in the faster you'll be moving, only by a tenth or two but enough to catch up to an opponent lets say 5 tenths ahead in a 2 lap buildup

They kinda copy VW formula.

Not turbo chirps ... sequential gear box .. theyre so fast because gutted insides bigger turbo straight pipe down center hpfp race steering wheel to control coolant and other things in the engine bay light race tires bigger spoiler not using same gear box so it makes ita animal from regular dct engine automatic its manual sequential race gear box
