- By HiGH REQUEST - this video was filmed for our viewers with great enthusiasm! I have been anticipating this truck for more than 6 months.. and I'm glad to unbox it here for you today. (3:05) - New, from Traxxas - is the TRX4 - and this may be the Hottest Scale Trail Truck to be released in 2017. With a fresh new platform from Traxxas, it seems as though the R&D department was working overtime on this model, researching what the scale trail community use their trucks for, and more importantly - HOW they use them. IE: Mud, Rain, Snow - and every kind of terrain we can think of!
A nice edition that is very noticeable on this truck are the Portal Axles. I have not tested them yet - but the extra high clearance of the axle tubes will now allow me to not get hung up on high tree roots and jagged rocks. The unique T-Lock Remote Shift Differentials (locking and unlocking) are an awesome feature to see as well. The way they are using cables to open and close the lock is rather genius, and I look forward to putting them to the test. The Transmission is a dual stage - (Hi/Low), and is also controlled via the Radio/Transmitter. All of the servos are waterproof - but in regards to the tires - if you purchase this truck - Remember to TAPE THE BREATHER HOLES in the tires, or water will seep in, and damage the foams. This can also impact wheel stability.

rc's4life 2003 That really wouldn't be a fair comparison. Optimus and Big Red are purpose built 6x6 trucks. Now compared against a stock or slightly modded trail truck from other manufactures then that would be better.

Been following this channel for about a month now, ever since I bought my ECX Barrage. Man I gotta say, if I would've known this bad boy was coming out at the time I would've waited and picked this thing up in a heartbeat! Either way this is gonna be my next rc. Such a solid rig out the box!

Great video, long time axial, traxxas & rc4wd fan. Love crawler trucks. Loving the new TRX 4. Had mine about a week awsome, slightly ass heavy but what a capable truck in my humble view. Best Rc design crawler truck design recently. Can't wait to see it on your Rc courses.

I'm glad to see that Traxxas has continued to innovate and no longer is a company that just rehashes the same old 2WD platform. Not that the old Rustler/Bandit platform is bad!!! Not at all :)
Also, I am SOOOOOOooooo happy that they are using a scale body of a real 4x4 and not something like the Telluride. The Telluride looks fine, but it is more satisfying to see a scale truck driving around.

Much anticipated unboxing. I can't wait for your first running videos to see how locking and unlocking the differentials affects the trailing capabilities. It will also be interesting to see what kind of market impact it makes with all the very capable SCX 10 variants out there. Another choice is always good for the hobbiests.

I've always been a fan of traxxas for rtr trucks but I'm happy to see they finally came out with a scale crawler. got to get me one soon as my budget allows.

I love Traxxas and I am so excited to see this new evolution of protect from them. But this video really is making me want to go out and get one of these.
"Not a scratch on it" (for now) Very cool truck Aaron, also very good video. To me it was just right, it had a great balance of being descriptive but it didn't drag on like in other channels, so awesome job! I like the way this truck looks other than Defenders in my book are way overused and overrated. I love the 2 speed transmission along with 2 and 4 wd with lockers or open diffs! I am stoked to watch it earn its first scratches along with Jem's new SCX10 2.0, I hope the first drive videos are both you and Jem driving both trucks seeing which you prefer.

I'm still pretty new to rc , like I'll be getting my first crawler this Thursday and to b completely honest I love that u go into detail bc for ppl like me that don't know alot about this hobbie , just u going into detail about things , does help
one thing i like to do with any rc is making what i call creek runs. Basically you start where you first find a small stream or somewhere you know you want to start, and work your way up as far as you can and then go back and see which ones quicker. You could possibly bring a small jet boat as well. Maybe some fishing gear and a friend. I like to do it and you might as well!
