@SkyDragonElite Well it shouldn't be the case. Because physical gamers and consumers should not have to be forced to not only be REQUIRED to have an Internet connection but also be forced to 'rent' or 'lease' their games they have bought, like is OBVIOUSLY not the case with physical games and you actually OWN them. And why do you think this digital age is even happening or evolving? Because consumers are downloading their games, because they THINK it's more convenient (which nothing could be further from the truth) because they can't be bothered to physically change a disc, and also because they couldn't give a crap about everyday people who are working in the job they love but now are forced out of it, because of this. You would have been excused for people doing this because of COVID and lockdowns, but times have since changed and people are STILL doing it. And it's wrong.
Steam tried this years ago, before digital became a thing...where digital copies where $5-10 cheaper. Retailers banded together (Circuit City, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, etc) and decided if the game prices weren't the same digitally for pre-order and launch, they wouldn't allow games in-the-box requiring Steam and its wannabe's (like EADM - which later become EA Origin and now EA Desktop App). They all (Steam and other digital stores) played ball w/ the retailers b/c they needed their foot in the door....and well, they began having wars w/ giving free extras if you bought at certain places - like free $5 to $10 gift cards or free DLC's or free pre-order bonuses or throw-in extra older games for free, etc. You even had Best Buy do Gamer Club with Reward Zone Stuff and GameStop had their own Pro Thing. Well, Steam and digital stores & 3rd party publishers cut hard later - and well, we saw who won the war, right? Yeah, do you see many - IF ANY - PC games at retail anymore? Yeah, Steam, EADM, UPLAY, and its 5000 wannabe's killed PC games on disc at retail and won the war.
They have to upon release for a window of time. Steam tried that years ago early on when it 1st dropped, topping prices over by $5, $10, etc digitally...and brick-and-mortar retailers (Best Buy, WalMart, GameStop, etc) were revolting & going to stop carrying their games that required Steam. Steam...well, decided to play ball. Then...later when a game gets older - well, Steam Sales happen gets older. Well, we see who won the war for PC games, right? It surely wasn't retail. And consoles are basically now some decade or more later are just copying that, planning to eventually more or less cut out retailers and all the other middlemen for the most part - so they can take more revenues & percentages for themselves via digital means.
I've started doing this recently. Been stocking up on ps3/4/5 physical copies. Going forward I wont be purchasing from psn store so long as physical copies are being made.
@@sassydasasquatch608 I have a day one ps5 which doesn't require internet to set up. They sadly changed this in later models. So when they day comes where they shut ps5 servers down (many years away) I should be fine :) I also enjoy collecting them

@heavensea141 Okay. Thanks for the info. Over the last 3 months, I've bought 20 - 30 physical games. I actually bought Rdr2, wouldn't download off the disc.. but it did allow me to download off the Xbox store while the disc was in the drive. That was pretty nice to see.
As soon as I found out about what they do to digital games eventually I been sticking to buying physical it feels so much better to i already have a lot of PS3 games and ready to start more of a collection for my PS4 and 5 games I like the feel over having a physical copy it feels like you own the game in your hands and that you can enjoy playing it
I hope this video gets millions of views just for the simple fact of the "game discs only have codes on them" NOOOOO they dont. I have 30+ PS5 games on disc. None of them are just a key code smh.
Yeah I hope so too! I’d love for more people to enjoy physical games! I will do monthly collection updated! So do consider subscribing for more! Thanks for supporting me!
It's a pity that this video has less than 10k views even though it deserves millions of views, the true values of physical games have been rejected by some. I own a few retro game consoles and I know there are modable PS4 consoles with a large game library, but personally I prefer to both mod and own physical games. Some people always make me lose my feelings when they constantly criticize other collectors for wasting money, saying that they only need to jailbreak their device to get all the downloadable games for free. But they don't know that in the country where I live, many people download free games with 128gb and they quickly get bored and want to sell it.... I used to really like collecting physical games and after being influenced by people around me, so I modded a retro game console but then I didn't feel happy, stuffing a bunch of free games made me bored quickly but when I collected each physical game box with the instruction booklet, it felt like it. indescribably great. My joy returned.
No digital can ever beat the beautiful sight of all the games on the shelves with all those hefty manuals - like in the "Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines", or "Diablo II", or in "Clive Barker's Undying"...Got around 210 PC games alone, Collector's Editions and such - nothing can replace those!
At least those games PC back in the day, their patches were often made public on Fileshack, FileFront, etc. So, if you backed-up the patches - yeah, you might be able to get those to patched-up. But, a lot of disc DRM's like Safedisc, Starforce, Securom do NOT work on newer Windows - i.e. Win 7 with one of the KB updates and Windows 8-11. At least Diablo II had patches to remove the disc-DRM officially with patch 1.12, provided you also copy MPQ files from disc to the right place. For CB's Undying - that has SafeDisc, so you'd either have to get around that if possible or you'd need to re-buy GOG version which has zero DRM; and thankfully, it's often sold dirt-cheap in sales on GOG for like $2 or less. And of course, if you buy from GOG - back-up installer files to CD, DVD, BR, etc.
over70%+ of games who are buyable as a disc version are playable games without to download anything, means they´re playable from start to finish (some smaller bugs icluded) buying physical is the best thing to maintain controll over the corps.
I been doing the same. Even games that I own digitally I am rebuying the physical. I only buy digital game as a demo now if it on sale. If I love it then I search for the physical, if it does not even have a physical then I do not buy it digitally . Just got Baldur's Gate 3 physically. Just so sad we have to do this, if I knew they were able to remove games from my system, I would have never brought any digital games. I am hoping they release Dave the Diver physically soon
Facts man! So true! Yeah exactly it’s a safety blanket just in case the digital market closes! Yeah I would love a physical of Dave the diver! Thanks for watching! I’ll be doing collection updates every month going forward so do consider subscribing for that! Thanks!
I used to buy a lot of physical but when my brother and I started game sharing digital was a way for us to play more games for cheaper. Now it’s just because of convenience. On Switch I still like physical because resell value on Nintendo is usually good.
I support what you are saying 100%. Most of the PS5 games actually works completely offline by just installing the disc, Stellar Blade is a perfect example. The Patches can fix bugs and so forth with a larger install that you download, but it's not a necessity that prevents you to run the actual game! Physical games is so important, it's a way to preserve history by having something tangible. With physical we can lend out our games to family and friends just like the old days, and not least we can resell them if we want. There are so many negative cases lately with digital, big companies can just remove games from their storefront, never to be seen again. That also includes digital games you have already "bought" into your library. By accepting digital releases, we are giving more power to greedy publishers who can control what we can play.
I agree with everything you said hopefully these companies give us a choice in the future with digital or physical. I just like collecting games and seeing my shelf fill up with games.
NEVER STOP BUYING PHYSICAL!!!! Give them the motive to continue producing them!!! It is for us, original gamers!!! I will ONLY buy physical with all my powers, so that all you have a chance to gain your own physical games as well!!!! Never stop help each other in this fake digital war we get
💯 my feelings. Thank you for making this video. Like you said, I love physical copies of games that I've played and loved. I wouldn't just buy games for the sake of collecting, but having games you've played through and really liked is a nice feeling. Subscribed.
I always buy my video games physical whenever possible. If consoles end up going with the all digital route then i would just save my money and buy a PC
Same - I have been loading up on DS, Switch, 360, XB1, PS1, PS2 games this year. The experience of inserting your cartridge or disk into the console can never be defeated. Sorry to the kids who will grow up downloading games, never to hold and read the case and manual.
For sure buddy! Just start a collection! I think I’m going to do monthly collection updates so do consider subscribing if you want to see that! Thanks for watching!
The reason I’m starting to buy physical copies is because Microsoft basically said if we buy a game we better get use to not owning it anymore f they lose the rights they delete the game and you don’t get your money back I’m not about to have that happen to me
It was Ubisoft who said that but ye. It's a valid fear. Sony just took away peoples Funimation videos, ones that they purchased and were "theirs". I don't understand why people are ok with not owning their items it's crazy.
That has nothing to do with "digital copies" it's the problem of the modern world with all the copyright stuff. Games are getting removed because of the licences are over, music, cars, weapon brands.
i personally tend to try and get physical over digital for games, however when it comes to online only games ill usually go the digital route as when the servers for that game are closed i would essentially be left with a physical coaster
Yeah same. I have a decently large Steam library but have become leery of it over the last few years, partly due to several dev shenanigans (Capcom suddenly adding in worse DRM etc), and partly due to things sometimes just failing to work over time due to gradual hardware and software changes... You don't really own anything digitally and so you don't have full control. Ultimately everything will slip through our fingers but as long as the discs haven't degraded (with a fully playable version on the actual disc) and you've a working console etc, then you at least have that control for the forseeable future, which for personal preservation (i.e for my own pleasure) is enough for me. I now own all my favourite games on various consoles too, and when possible buy new releases physically also. Still love my PC but I mainly use it as a VR machine now or to play games I historically already own.
always good to see a newcomer to the FF series! Completely agreed on your physical stance which is why I've stuck with Sony and Nintendo the past multiple generations. I just don't trust Microsoft or the XBOX brand.
Another thing people dont talk about is that it saves so much storage, especially on switch. If i had to download all my games i could only have 1 or 2 at a time without that sd card upgrade. Im only just now running into storage issues with save data from 30-40ish games since i havent bought an sd card yet. Ive had my switch for 5 years and havent needed one. I just bought a ps5 and i was blown away by how much storage it has, but i know it also expects you to download games so it kinda needs that storage space. I will admit ive downloaded a few games that dont have physical releases onto it, we will see how long it takes me to fill that bad boy hut im not even half way there yet
I had a Wii growing up and that's the main reason why I'm camp physical. Personally, I prefer physical because I can sell it at any time if I decide I don't want it anymore. I'm glad to see a new member to the physical club. And I say welcome to the club.
Explain what good physical games are today? when most do not have full game in complete form or require some sort of patch, you can play digital games downloaded on your ssd offline also, don’t get me wrong I believed in physical media but that time has come and gone over last 10yrs, Real problem is today we need Consumer digital media rights enforced as if they were physical media
Most games are playble installed from disc. This is wrong! It depends on the game itself. There are bad examples or live as a service games, but that´s the nature of these type of games. In fact most games are playable, no need for update or internet. Doesitplay shows it.
I 100% agree but we won't have a choice between physical and digital sooner or later. Until then I guess yeah go for it, I'm doing the same but thinking of just accepting it and just go full digital. But on steam, consoles are useless to me without physical.
I mainly buy physical disc. I have a large digital library due to PS+ monthly games. the only digital games I’ve bought spider-man 2, black wu kong and Walking dead telltale which I have a love/hate relationship with because they’re starting to double down on physical deluxe/collectors editions
Currently in the same boat, I’m planning to trade my Xbox Series X towards a PS5 Slim because I still have my old collection and I found Xbox made using digital games more enticing. Thankfully I didn’t get many games digitally, their sales and game pass aren’t something that convinced me.
I would say the only scary thing about physical is that it gets damaged or the disc just dies or scratches… whereas digital games dont have that issue you could pay 60 usd for a game disc doesnt read and u have a brick in a case…

I just found your channel. Great video. Yea physical is so much better. Going into a store or shopping online for a game. Either way. Plus I order from a lot of limited print companies as well. Like LRG, red art games, pix n' love and many others. I collect for switch, ps5 , Xbox series x and many others. I made so many orders from LRG and I'm still buying from them. So many great games finally getting physical copies. Grounded recently got a physical copy, high of life got a physical copy and many others I could mention thanks to LRG.
Okay i think my comment got deleted, thanks for the video mate, I've got 44 physical ps5 games so far and have seen a lot of UA-camrs saying there's no game on the discs which isn't true, also you can get the games a lot cheaper, if physical games come to an end i think I'll go retro
Ah okay! Not sure what happened there!! No problem! That’s awesome that you have so many physical games! Yeah that’s absolutely not true at all that there’s no game on disc. Because many of the discs, you can put the ps5 in offline mode and still play the game! Yes so true! I’m going to start doing monthly collection updates going forward starting at the end of this month! So do consider subscribing for those! Thanks for supporting buddy!
Exactly I install my games offline and then go online to do the update seems faster that way I think, obviously down the line we could lose the patches and dlc, but we still have the base games
I used to collect physical, but I know most games didn’t have the whole game on the disc. I sold most of my collection last year. I would love to recollect again but don’t have the space for it
Yeah that makes sense! Although that is incorrect about the disc. Many games are fully playable without an internet connection. Watch mystic Ryan’s video on this. He tested many games. In fact there is an entire website that tells you this stuff: www.doesitplay.org/
gog galaxy is so great on pc as you actually own games on pc, once buy they are drm free not only you can play without internet connection but they provide you with offline installer that you can install on pc locally and you can store these on usb drive (if someone wants to) and thats actually doing better job at preserving games than actuall physical discs of console games, and you can install on a whole different pc or laptop with no launcher requiered, PC>playstation and xbox anytime
reading that the reason some by digital games are cus they dont wanna have to manualy change the disc/cartrige is the most stupid thing iv ever read how lazy do you need to be smh
Most ps4 and ps5 games physically come with a 1.0 version that work right out of the box from beginning to end. Some game's just some of them are down right broken.
Great video and thank you. Really enjoying your content. After being out of gaming for the best part of 5 years due to busy work and parent life I purchased a steam deck which I'm massively enjoying and allows me more flexible time to play. But collecting games on store is nothing compare to collecting physicals. I'm now slowly finding more time to get back into my xbox again (still on xbox one) But I've been buying physicals off ebay and Facebook marketplace is great. Loads of games that I've missed out on so between that an my steam deck I'm gaming more than ever. Debating getting a series x or ps5 but after watching this an hearing uncertainty about xbox physicals I might have to start again on ps5 🤦🏻♂️😆.
Wow thanks so much for your kind comments! ah congratulations on the parent life buddy! yes steam is fantastic but it just doesn't feel the same as a physical copy does it!? Yes exactly! and buying older xbox one titles as physical copies are much more affordable as well! thats the great things with used copies. Yes absolutely get a ps5! its a fantastic system! i have a lot more coming soon content wise about this system! i actually played my first final fantasy game ever recently and ive fallen in love! its an amazing game! video on this coming soon! thanks so much for supporting my videos and channel! lots more to come!
Brother first of all congrats on getting that Platinum of Cuphead that's got to be extremely rare. I'm still a little bit scared of that game because of the difficulty 😂 Physical media is about preserving history it's not just looking good on a shelf. Games have started to not release physically and have been getting taken off of online stores. It's almost like they won't exist if this continues let's keep purchasing physical disc so platforms continue to provide them in the future
Thanks so much man! Yeah it was a long one! Yeah of course! I’m all about game preservation as well! But for me I love looking at them on a shelf too! But thanks for watching!
I'm the same! I recently sold my Xbox series X for a ps5 slim. I only had digital on the Xbox but for some reason I decided to buy physical for ps5, there's something about actually owning something. I'm actually thinking of going back to CDs 😂
glad you have the physical discs made before 2022. cause since 2020 physical disc replicators have had to really downsize due to digital downloads, in which the cost of maufacture, packaging distribution is not needed compared to the physical disc. so thus the physical mft do not care about the disc quality anymore, discs scratched, warpped, like s potatoe crispy, faded reflection, read hang ups, a small tap on the controller makes it advance . so discs made before digital will hold up strong, anything recent probably will have headaces on return, wast time money etc
I'll only go digital if it means i actually own it like from GOG at least you got an offline installer of the complete game to go with, so if GOG goes down you still have the means to play it or it'll always be yours on a external SSD or HDD etc, somewhere down the line to replay to your hearts content. i'll keep collecting physical till i cant, tho its always good to have "backups" always within reach regardless.
been stocking up on xbox one games, they can be gotten cheap depending on title and vendor.... My first FF game was FF3 on the SNES, I won that game by winning 1st at a blockbuster store during the video game championships they held... good times...
i have the same only physical games if they stop i will buy and play old games and not even bother with the new ones on pc its different because prices are better and if they take away a game i can get it somewere else for free
About physical discs - problem is often, these are version 1.0 out-the-box and aren't updated. Who the heck wants to play version 1.0 of Cyberpunk 2077, for example? 2.0+ or bust on CP 2077. If PSN, XBL, Steam, Epic, etc go away - well, you're stuck w/ disc-version 1.0, if it ain't even DRM'ed to death or requiring certain services to boot/play offline; and especially if you ain't backed-up your game-folder in full somewhere else (like a portable HDD or SSD). What we need is physical re-released editions way later w/ everything on the disc and no more updates, since patches ain't made public anymore for anyone to grab from places like Fileshack, PC Gaming Wiki, etc. At least on PC when you buy games from GOG - you got offline file-installers and single-player stuff there works offline as it's DRM-FREE...and you can back this stuff up yourself on CD, DVD, BR, HDD, etc.
C'mon guys. Many games, should I say, MOST of games, work just fine with 1.0. And, later there is from time to time updated discs with DLCs and version above 1.0, such as: Complete Editions, Game of the Year Editions, Ultimate Editions, and so on. I play only off-line, single-player games on disc, PS5, and works more than fine for me. I've been physical gamer like forever. Of course, there are exceptions such as Cyberpunk, The Witcher etc... But from my experience, from PS4 to PS5, disc games work more than fine.
HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST COMPLETE EDITION IS EXACTLY THAT. REPRINTED DISC ALL UPDATES, PATCHES AND DLC BURNING SHORE INCLUDED ON THE DISC WITHOUT HAVING TO CONNECT ONLINE. PLAYSTATION 5 OFFLINE PLUG AND PLAY.
I like physical games better, but I like having the option. I am mentally prepared for developers to make everything digital eventually. If the games are good, I will find the best way to buy it either way.
If buying isn't owning, pirating isn't stealing. I opt to buy physical if the game data is fully playable on disc, its a token of appreciation of a good game well made
I have ps5 and xsx and I was buying all my physical for PS5 but now that Xbox patched out the drm for disc and you can play and install discs offline I’m always conflicted on which console to buy for lol
Once they release a digital only PS6 its probably game over for me, like you say its part of the console experience. I’m starting to build a digital library also when things are cheap on steam because I know its coming 😂
I prefer physical, but for the Playstation 5, I switched over to digital. Saving space and the physical AAA titles the network is needed to complete the game. The whole game is even printed on the dics, so for the ps5, the CD is nothing more than a placeholder. Playstation 4 and below it meant something to have the dics ps5 not so much.
No this is a big misconception. You can play many ps5 games directly from disk. I recommend watching Mystic Ryan’s video on this. There is also a website dedicated to showing all games that run from disc on ps5 with no internet or updates
@@MajorBenI just found the does it play sight and it’s very helpful for seeing what games can be played offline and which games require a download to play. Thank you for making this video.
I buy all my games as digital copies. I am not a collector, and i don't buy a lot of games. I just bought Dredge on PlayStation Store for only £11, which i feel os good value. I don't see why debt (implying irresponsible management of finances) is a justification for buying physical games, and it feels like a flimsy reason. I am not in debt at all.
I hate physical copies but I've also found myself buying physical copies lately. I think there's a serious problem with the current license model and ownership of software by publishers. Optical Discs are just a storage medium and they're a terrible storage medium and outdated form of distribution. Unfortunately certain publishers have decided to taint the digital distribution medium with the worst offenders being EA and Ubisoft by wanting constant control over their customers. Nintendo has also done massive amounts of damage. We should have rights over the software and devices we own and none of this should be tolerated.
Completely get what you're saying, and so many of the commenters here. But I truly believe the phyical gaming era will diminish even further to the point its by far the minority. It's a nice idea what you're all saying here and its a good memory of gaming up until this burgeoning new era, but it's over.
the problem is: the DRMs from publishers, on PC the phisical media died because of the DRMs, on consoles the problem is: the version out of box can be a "uncomplete version" of the game, on some days the only option is piracy.
Not really into physical games usually because i end up trading them in at cex lol and also kids usually leave them round the house ,,, hope the mouth feels better mate ,
Yeah that’s fair man! Makes sense! Yes my mouth is definitely doing better than it was! Still get an achy jaw sometimes but it’s definitely improved!! Thanks for asking! Hope you’re doing well!
I started doing this as well. I regret my digital 'library' of hundreds of games and no longer 'buy' digital. Unfortunately it means I have to move away from Xbox. PS5 / PS4 are much more physical friendly especially since they dont require console activation. Xbox 360 is ok as well and most older consoles.
Why do you prefer the PS5 version of these games over other platforms? I like the PC versions because I can easily switch and take these games on the Go with Steam Deck.
Sure Ben. You didn’t have to take it so personally. I was just saying ..why now? As someone who does both why switch now? You seam pretty up to speed on the reasons to buy physical.. and you’re reason you just recently switched is because “you just like it..” 😂

As soon as I found out about what they do to digital games eventually I been sticking to buying physical it feels so much better to i already have a lot of PS3 games and ready to start more of a collection for my PS4 and 5 games I like the feel over having a physical copy it feels like you own the game in your hands and that you can enjoy playing it
Nice same
I hope this video gets millions of views just for the simple fact of the "game discs only have codes on them" NOOOOO they dont.
And of course, if you buy from GOG - back-up installer files to CD, DVD, BR, etc.
over70%+ of games who are buyable as a disc version are playable games without to download anything, means they´re playable from start to finish (some smaller bugs icluded)
buying physical is the best thing to maintain controll over the corps.
The actual number is higher, close to 95%
I been doing the same.
Thanks!
New sub. Physical all the way. Common sense isn’t common anymore so I love this video.
I mean I rather own instead of rent so yea physical is better
For sure!
Preach brother Preach. Spread the word PS5 games are on the disc.
I used to buy a lot of physical but when my brother and I started game sharing digital was a way for us to play more games for cheaper. Now it’s just because of convenience. On Switch I still like physical because resell value on Nintendo is usually good.
Yeah if you game share you basically have to get digital games. But I kinda like getting both depending on the deals
Well said .
I agree with 100% man I am starting to feel the same way after going all in to digital.
The only advantage to digital is convenience. They should be priced lower at launch. Physical has way more advantages.
Gaming is the greatest and so are you! Don't you ever forget that!
Legend! Thanks so much for that buddy!! You too man! Game on!! Thanks for watching and supporting!!
I agree with everything you said hopefully these companies give us a choice in the future with digital or physical. I just like collecting games and seeing my shelf fill up with games.
Small companies like limited run games will keep physical games going in the future
NEVER STOP BUYING PHYSICAL!!!! Give them the motive to continue producing them!!! It is for us, original gamers!!! I will ONLY buy physical with all my powers, so that all you have a chance to gain your own physical games as well!!!! Never stop help each other in this fake digital war we get
Stop dreaming dude, digital is the future. For a reason it's dead on PC since 15 years.
💯 my feelings. Thank you for making this video. Like you said, I love physical copies of games that I've played and loved. I wouldn't just buy games for the sake of collecting, but having games you've played through and really liked is a nice feeling.
Subscribed.
Ah legend! Thanks so much for your support!! I really appreciate you subscribing too. Thanks so much!
Try some of the original FFs. I recommend OG 7, 9 and 10. The older Nintendo ones are great too.
Definitely! Thanks for the game suggestions! I’m really enjoying ff7 remake! Thanks for watching!
Good choice 💯
Thanks buddy! Appreciate that! Thanks for supporting!
I’m with you buddy….I’ve started buying games that were digital on my Xbox for ps5. I think it’s smart what you are doing👍🏾
Digital games are truly not worth having, the physical games are truly better to have, it's like having a nice book 🙂👏👍💯
Physical you can sell/trade it
Exactly!
Awsome video, i have never purchased a digital game and never will. Physical forever baby 👊
I always buy my video games physical whenever possible. If consoles end up going with the all digital route then i would just save my money and buy a PC
Yup on PC, you have the game atleast forever when digital.
I agree 💯% on physical media games, there no going back for me! ❤ ( 10-05-24 ) Saturday
Yeah very true! Me too!
Same - I have been loading up on DS, Switch, 360, XB1, PS1, PS2 games this year.
The experience of inserting your cartridge or disk into the console can never be defeated.
Sorry to the kids who will grow up downloading games, never to hold and read the case and manual.
100% right, i need to do the same
For sure buddy! Just start a collection! I think I’m going to do monthly collection updates so do consider subscribing if you want to see that! Thanks for watching!
The reason I’m starting to buy physical copies is because Microsoft basically said if we buy a game we better get use to not owning it anymore f they lose the rights they delete the game and you don’t get your money back I’m not about to have that happen to me
Exactly! True! I’m enjoying buying physical! It’s much nicer to own something
It was Ubisoft who said that but ye. It's a valid fear. Sony just took away peoples Funimation videos, ones that they purchased and were "theirs". I don't understand why people are ok with not owning their items it's crazy.
@@mikaelpage88 Exactly
That has nothing to do with "digital copies" it's the problem of the modern world with all the copyright stuff. Games are getting removed because of the licences are over, music, cars, weapon brands.
Sony already positioned themselves to not include a disc drive on ps6....getting scary. It is nice to be modular if something breaks though.
i personally tend to try and get physical over digital for games, however when it comes to online only games ill usually go the digital route as when the servers for that game are closed i would essentially be left with a physical coaster
Exactly that yes! Yeah exactly! I just prefer discs for sure! Definitely my preferred way to game! Thanks for watching buddy!
always good to see a newcomer to the FF series! Completely agreed on your physical stance which is why I've stuck with Sony and Nintendo the past multiple generations. I just don't trust Microsoft or the XBOX brand.
have fun, mate
Seeing the FFVII PS5 disc version always makes me happy.
I mainly buy physical disc. I have a large digital library due to PS+ monthly games. the only digital games I’ve bought spider-man 2, black wu kong and Walking dead telltale which I have a love/hate relationship with because they’re starting to double down on physical deluxe/collectors editions
Yeah that’s very true! I agree! I have a big digital as well because of ps+ and stuff!! Thanks so much for watching! Really appreciate it!

HOPE MORE game developers takes noticed and would to this with Physical singelplayer games.
Call me old school, but I am totally against digital downloads ONLY. It's like you're leasing a video game.
@darrennye2629 exactly! Thanks for watching buddy
Maybe due to so dlc which released later after buying the cd. Good example Witcher 3 has two edition , basic and complete edition which include dlc.
gog galaxy is so great on pc as you actually own games on pc, once buy they are drm free not only you can play without internet connection but they provide you with offline installer that you can install on pc locally and you can store these on usb drive (if someone wants to) and thats actually doing better job at preserving games than actuall physical discs of console games, and you can install on a whole different pc or laptop with no launcher requiered, PC>playstation and xbox anytime
You Sir, are correct!👍
i rlly just like physical cause its super fun to collect, i do like digital but i just vastly perfer physical
Agreed buddy!
reading that the reason some by digital games are cus they dont wanna have to manualy change the disc/cartrige is the most stupid thing iv ever read how lazy do you need to be smh
I think I'm about to switch to all disc possibly. I made sure when I bought the PS5 Pro that daggone disc drive was on it before I powered it up
Most ps4 and ps5 games physically come with a 1.0 version that work right out of the box from beginning to end.
I'm collecting the ones I think will be hard to find later down the road. Psychonauts 2, Transformers Devastation ect
Brother first of all congrats on getting that Platinum of Cuphead that's got to be extremely rare. I'm still a little bit scared of that game because of the difficulty 😂
Physical media is about preserving history it's not just looking good on a shelf.
Trust me.. If your buy games physical.. That make ur excited collecting them..
I play a lot of my physical Xbox games as well offline
I ordered the physical version of black ops 6
Can you turn your physical games into digital games?
what car you are driving dude, my turbo cost no more than 200 quid :D
If buying isn't owning, pirating isn't stealing. I opt to buy physical if the game data is fully playable on disc, its a token of appreciation of a good game well made
Most games are playable, check doesitplay. No need to pirate games. Just buy and support physical games.
@@OurLou I think the ps6 will have a detachable drive like the pro does. I don’t think it’ll be gone next gen.
@@MajorBen 🙏 certainly hope so
I prefer physical, but for the Playstation 5, I switched over to digital. Saving space and the physical AAA titles the network is needed to complete the game. The whole game is even printed on the dics, so for the ps5, the CD is nothing more than a placeholder. Playstation 4 and below it meant something to have the dics ps5 not so much.
🧐 The day everything goes digital is the day I stop collecting 😢 and start pirating 🏴☠️ games day one 😈 .
The day they stop making physical games is the day i stop gaming.
Just play the old stuff. You don't have to stop.
@ oh yeah that’s why i meant actually. I will retire from modern gaming.
Go to PC, you have the game atleast forever when digital.
dont you still need internet for ps5 physical games? so meaning if ps5 servers shut down your games become unplayable
Please get Detroit become human it’s one of the best PlayStation exclusives
Will definitely do that buddy!
Can you buy diablo 2 resurrection physical on consoles?
Only game I bought digital was uncharted 4 and that was an impulse buy 😅
Physical is good but not for today's games.
Same mate
Makes so much sense now! Thanks for watching!
@@MajorBen love your videos my man
@@marklaskey7780 thanks buddy I really appreciate that! Loads more to come!
When I buy physical games I feel better about the game and when I buy digital the game doesn't have any enjoyment.
Hi can i ask how to buy physical games from microsoft store thank you
And final fantasy use to be cheesy to me but that ff7 is the truth. I need intergrade but I got rebirth first
I subscribe to PlayStation Plus now I play more than 20 games
It's ok to purchase digital game on big sale, but I wouldn't buy anything more than $10 anyway. My priority is physical copies.
So you buy these games on both PC and PS5? Do you play these games on both platforms at the same time?
Did you even listen to the video? I play everything on console. But have in the past bought some playstation games on pc.
I am subscribed and follow your channel. So I listen to many of your videos.
@@chchris25 okay. Just didn't get your point that's all. Sorry
Why do you prefer the PS5 version of these games over other platforms?
I like the PC versions because I can easily switch and take these games on the Go with Steam Deck.
@@chchris25 because I prefer console over pc. It's my preferred way to play
Those are video games, not physical games. Physical games are board games or card games
Should have been buying physical games every one
Sure Ben. You didn’t have to take it so personally. I was just saying ..why now? As someone who does both why switch now? You seam pretty up to speed on the reasons to buy physical.. and you’re reason you just recently switched is because “you just like it..” 😂
where the hell have you been bro i been collecting phsyical games since 95- 2000 till now . i was born in 1991 i am stick with it because one my friend xbox account got locked out that he owned for 12 years he lost all of his xbox games that was digital so i been doing disc i am p[c guy but i game on xbox and ps4 ps5 so i am good i like doing both but i do a thing if i own it on xbox or console ingeneral i pirate it on pc . i been dick collection cause of the banns that happen too friends and sony had a problem off sony remove ps4 and ps5 and psp and ps vita games from there digital collection dang
