Lanz is so considerate and he can relate to a lot of what everyone feels, he feels like the oddball of the party, like he's not doing enough. He deserves all of the praise he gets and he is such an important character to the story. Lanz feels the most human of the party despite possibly having machina origin
Yeah, that's well put. His english VA also is just doing a brillant job imo. Even if the battle quotes and other voice clips repeat a lot- His never get annoying or even old- still make me smile after hearing the lines over hundred times and more lol
100% I just love that a character like Lanz who appears to be very confident and brash is the one who offers the most emotional support and advice, it's amazing how Monolithsoft portray characters and give them another dimension, they are so good at building characters!
Love how human these characters feel. Eunie and Lanz being brash and acting cool, but they have lingering fears and doubts at the back of their minds. They all had something happen to them, something that changed them. Taion in particular is my favorite when it comes to character development. After you first meet him he’s pretty cold towards the Kevesi, but as you continue the story he begins to open up and trust them as comrades in arms and as friends. Eunie probably contributed to his development quite a bit too, since at times Taion would say something you’d expect Eunie to say (example: “Piss off, eyesore.”). Really like how it seemed like she helped Taion grow out of his habit of being a walking textbook.
I really do love scenes where the we get one on one talks between our party members when its not thier old team mates or interlink partners gives a show of the care this group of 8 have for each other
Couldn't have said it better myself, no other franchise can compete in terms of the one to one conversations between characters, maybe Red Dead, but Xenoblade does it better!
@@MrMarvell something that this video and a few others of your high lights for XB3 made me realize this game gave us alot of scenes of the party just exsiting and I love that so much for this game
Me too, I love how they learn about the themes of life throughout their journey, and new concepts and feelings that were previously alien to them, it's done so well.
@@MrMarvell especially with how each pair works Noah & Mio with their relationship Sena & Lanz finding inner strength With eunie & taion being that pair of friends that don't really seem like friends until you see how they treat each other when they're troubled
Man I love this game, you can see in No2 how Taion finishes what Eunid was saying or how you can literally hear how he swallows his words(and pride maybw) when he says the commander did not said any hurtful things
I love this game
💚same
Me too.

I really think this game has the best cast of characters in the whole trilogy...

Monica and Eunie at the city too
I hoped for the city scene with Lanz and Mio, one of my favorite dialoges too (like every scene with the MVP in it 😇)
Yeah I love that scene and included it in this video because it's overlooked by many I believe.
My favourite too, but not because of the Meaty MVP, but because of best (welsh cat) girl

Uh oh mio is cooking without mananna she won't like that
Lost Days of Warmth elevates emotional cutscenes so much! 🥹💖
