Superb job. Those headlights came up a treat. Thanks for the usual tips and tricks along the way with simple camera cuts and not too much time wasting.
Well done fella, i really can't believe it was going to be scrapped really hope pleased you got it and saved it just for a bit of knowledge and a bit of elbow grease excellent
A good job done.its starting to look really nice.you did a great job of tidying tgat roof up.i thought it looked completeley knackered.look forward to the next episode.
Fantastic stuff Jag Man. Just Discovered your channel here on Y tube. I have a '02 S type sport , silver and cant find anyone thats willing to work on it to get it running again.
Hi Brett, another great job well done. I too have headlights that are badly faded. Can you please give me the details of the products you used so I can do my headlights ? Thank you in advance and keep up the great job.
Hi Geoff You can use many different products. First sand them back with 2000 grit wet and dry. Rub all the old stuff off I then used autosol but similar products can be used that is abrasive such as gif. The buff with a good quality auto polish. This will protect them. Polish regularly Thanks for watching
the headlight restoration was amazing and so, I would like it if you could actually tell us what the cleaners you used in order as I have watched UTube to see how to do it and none of the ones shown worked for me. There didn't seem to be as many steps as you did.
@@tjmthejagmandownunder Thank you so much. I only found your channel today and became a subscriber immediately and have been binge watching your episodes.
TJM jump if you disagree, but I used headliner spray on headliner glue for my XJ6 from Supercheap but check that its heat resistant. Trick is to wait for it to tack up (3 min or so) before joining cloth to roof
No No No ..... Do not add silly chrome bling strips at 11:17 . .... Keep it as it should be mate - it now looks terrible, and probably knocked about $200 off the price ?
Wow! The old girl came up beautifully. The side windows trims are awesome.
I think so too!

I'm learning, glad you like it
Yes, the headlights probably need some lacquer to protect from the UV. The refurb kits come with an impregnated pad.
@@johnmoruzzi7236 Yep The polish does the same thing!
So its true!! You can polish a Turd!! Well done! Elbow grease is free and the result is amazing!!
Fantastic Job. Well done. Great to see a car saved from the crusher
Well-done, thumb up!

Brake pedal switch controls the shift interlock solenoid via CAN bus. There is pedal position sensor(pot) and brake switch. Measure or replace that.
Thanks will do

Start with 2000 grit wet
Then any mild abrasive. I used autosol but gumption will do. Then buff with a good quality car polish which will protect them

That car looks great. What glue did you use for the head liner?

3m head lining clue is the best and yes has to be heat resistant. I cannot rememeber th brand till next week but it was a good yanky product.
Watch JR go is also repairing a white S-type here on UA-cam
Yeah! I watched it. He is putting it back together with a broken tensioner still in it! Not good 😩
@4:35 How does the switch go ?
😁😁🤣
What type of paste is in the tube at 10:05 ?
I used Autosol but any mild cleaning paste will do it, Gumption, Jiff etc
Hello, what device do u use to read lod in Jag S-type?

Nah mate had to. Didn't you see what was underneath them. All outer shells were rusted
@@tjmthejagmandownunder Yes I did see the rust, but you should have replaced it with black trim rather than chrome.
@@danielwalker2613I had them in stock Daniel. I actually didn't mind the chrome though.
