I also had troubles with ABS controller of my X-type, ABS light was on, jerky pedal response. I fixed the issue at the ECU workshop - they soldered a broken wire inside the controller and it is OK since that time. Good luck to XJ6!
Well a dozen jags , that all sane and ok in my humble opinion. But 13, well, one needs medical help at that stage :))) Nice looking x300 . Awesome Brett
Feeling your pain fella, I really hate it when you have a light on the dashboard it's so annoying, and to do with the paint work, my car i have now some rubble came off my house roof and landed on the car roof it chipped the paint not a big chip but they reckon they would have to spray the whole roof for 888 dollars or 500 pounds to me lol, but fingers crossed with whatever you do and really enjoy watching your posts cheers
I’d say get the niggles sorted for the next owner not to worry about… you’ve maybe reached the limit of what you can diagnose by swapping things around so more expert help may be needed now… but I take your point about too many projects !
John you would be aware if it's beyond me it always will go to the professionals. In this case the cost of diagnosing the niggles could amount to $$$ which I'm not prepared to spend on this one. The S3 v12 if different however were I will spend to get it right.
Let it go to its forever home. You need to able to call when on a project that your heart clearly isn't in. Especially after that airbag fright you received.

My ml 320 has the abs light on and its the motor brushes have worn thin so light comes on easily..just change the motor as well..

Was the airbag issue ever resolved? or found out properly what is was?
No however I would narrow it down to one of the sensors
