Flying over the Calf Canyon & Hermits Peak Wildfire

  • While on my flight from New York to Phoenix, our aircraft flew over Las Vegas, New Mexico where there is currently a major wildfire that has burned over 300,000 acres since it started.

    That is terrible! But the view is awesome! Very interesting. I haven’t seen a lot of footage from planes going over fires like this. Well done.

    Thanks for uploading this. The fire completely destroyed my homestead the first week of May. My brother and I were there on June 1st and 2nd photographing the damage. It’s surprising to see how extensively it was still burning after we left.
