- B-side from their 'No Point Runnin'' 7" (1982). Electrifying, classic-NWOBHM tune from the first release by short-lived band Black Rose. Sadly they didn't include it on their debut LP, Boys Will Be Boys (they did include a new recording of the A-side), but by then they'd turned into more of a sleaze band anyway.

Hey guys, we have just completed a final ever album and should be releasing sometime this year. I was 18 when we recorded this...I'm 47 now!!!! Long live NWOBHM...and maybe I'll finally make a penny or two! :)

I have a copy of this from 1982 and I lived in Milwaukee we loved the Euro metal...
I don't know why, but the whole intro riff reminds me of Electric Eye, by Judas Priest.
Robert Ohler Didn't hear it until I read this comment, now the main riff does remind me of the main riff in electric eye
It might sound a tad like Judas to you but since It was recorded years before electric eye maybe Priest stole it from Black Rose.

@@johncolletti6285 nice try ,but both songs were from 1982 .Don't care if Black Rose might have written the song in 1978 .It was made available to the public in 1982 . Maybe Judas Priest wrote the guitar for Electric Eye in 1971 ,but songs without some official release are not songs until they are for sale in a normal Record Store. No one cares about Demoes they are not considered actual music yet

This one is the B-side of a single of the NWoBHM band Black Rose, hailing from Middlesbrough (released '82).
It has nothing to do with KD, MF or any other Danish band... Nevertheless... The Danish Black Rose are cvlt, also! --- Influenced by Purple, Uriah Heep, Rainbow... They have to be cvlt!

Hi, Cure For Your Disease was recorded by me and Steve Bardsley and released in 2010. It's my favourite of all we did as the songs are very strong. Type in Black Rose Rock Renegades here in youtube which is a very anthemic track. I just did an interview with a guy from Russia and we were trying to work out why it disapeared and once again it was lack of support from labels etc. The bane of our career. Arco, thanks for mentioning 'Cure... I'm still looking at a rerelease some day with the proper backing. Cheers. Chris Watson

King Diamond didn't sing falsetto in HIS Black Rose. However this band came out of the U.K. shortly after.
They were from the North East of England, possibly Teeside area, hence 'Teesbeat' record label. My first ever gig was seeing them.
My band supported them at a gig in Guildford in '85/'86. They came all the way from Middlesbrough with a Transit and a Luton and got paid £18, we got nothing (How's that for memory?)!!!!. By then they were quite 'Hair Metal' but still a good band.

They were out of the same Camp in Northern England, a lot of early Black Rose sounded like the Tygers or Raven

The Guitarist on these tracks is Chris Watson, Chris replaced Ken Nicholson who joined Holland who then changed their name to Hammer. These days as far as I'm aware, Ken is playing with both Hammer and Black Rose.
lol yeah his name is Kenny Nicholson and he played in Hammer and even before they changed their name from Holland to Hammer
I was a roadie for Black Rose between 82-85. I knew who Ken was, but was never a mate of his. Bob Henman was the only member of Holland/Hammer I knew very well.
