I've been looking for an upgrade shock without spending too much. I've used a CBR900rr with Hawk spring and that was a huge improvement over a tired stock shock, but I'd like to go with a shock made for the GT Hawk. I may have to buy a quality shock (Nitron, Penske or Ohlin) used because a $1K shock is what I paid for my GT Hawk. I'm also looking into buying a YSS.

I believe anything is better than a tired old stock rear shock. I have to say the Penske entry level rear shock that I got is a real bargain. Im not a fast rider so this shock works well for me. I can't say much for the other brands you mentioned as I haven't had any experience with them.

Looks like you replaced your mirrors again - I like the new ones, what kind are they/where did you get them?

Hello! Yes you are correct! These are off of my dad's 2017 Honda CB300f. He liked the original Hawk chrome ones so we just traded. Out of all the mirrors I've changed to, these are my favorite. Very good clear visibility up high so you don't have to look down at the bar ends, taking your eyes off the road ahead. Thanks for commenting!

I think in your manual it also says how to remove the fuel tank. You could use the other bolt holding the fuel tank to remove the spacer in the front
