I don't know how the deer come from all over and end up in our property to have corn. Sometimes they are out there in the mornings to eat the leftovers. I put out some different kinds of blocks for them to lick. Last year we stepped outside on the front porch and they were laying down, what a sight! We don't hunt, we did when we lived in Illinois for just one year for me. My wife and her dad use to hunt. Where we live now which is in the country many miles from a city and we enjoy that. But we see the deer cross the road we live on. I can't imagine how many bags of corn we have bought since living here. It's fun to look out from the door in the back and see nice looking bucks laying down in the pastures. Beyond our property is thick woods and when I mow way in the back I try and look into the woods.
Sounds like you've got a nice little wildlife paradise there in MO! Congrats! You don't have to hunt to enjoy the wild creatures! We love watching them from the house as much as anything else.
People don't take into consideration what a turn key hunting place costs to setup. Guarantee it would cost minimum 5k just to have access to water and electric on site, not to mention sleeping accommodations, blinds, food plots, etc. Half of the people don't have any clue what the seed cost and that's the cheapest part of the whole thing.
Great tour of Phil's plots, he's been busy on his new farm. Good that you got some rain for your plots.
He's a go getter on roids for sure! Thank you, at least I have 'some' food growing now!
Lmao Phil just dug out with Shovel. Josh Beckett would love it.
lol I bet you're right!
Phil is a go-getter, he hasn't been sitting on his hands!
lol no doubt!! Man I wish I had half of his energy!!
