Watch Scarface here: • Scarface ('83)
In the spring of 1980, the port at Mariel Harbor was opened, and thousands set sail for the United States. They came in search of the American Dream. One of them found it on the sun-washed avenues of Miami... wealth, power and passion beyond his wildest dreams. He was Tony Montana. The world will remember him by another name... Scarface. Starring Al Pacino as Tony Montana along with Michelle Pfeiffer, Steven Bauer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Robert Loggia, Scarface has become a cultural phenomenon brilliantly directed by Brian De Palma and written by Oliver Stone.
I was only 20 when Scarface was released. Ernie taught me three important lessons. Dress for success, know when to keep your mouth shut, and don’t celebrate until after you got the job.
and always keep Bruno Mars around for moral support and entertainment
LMAO Nice!!!
@@lukestar2218And who's fuck it Bruno Mars? 😂
Always best to be silent and not say a word and let everything play out as it is.
The good old days where job interviews were in person, with the boss in the room to make the offer.
If this was made today, Tony would be in a zoom meeting with all of them
@@keveardo"Ernie, you're on mute"
It's understated how comedically brilliant this comment is
And all these places have help wanted signs out but want you to apply on a stinking computer,,,half the reason they can't get descent workers
😂😂😂
"I stayed loyal to you. I tried to steal your wife, but I never turned you Frank!" 🤣🤣
That's why Tony is a villian
tbf all women are always looking for someone better, married or not.

@@kaj7135I'm surprised you still alive after taking the entire bottle of blackpills.
@@Testosterooster It’s not even unhealthy, it’s liberating.
Ernie's acting was out of this world... Hands down🎉🎉
My favorite part
Problem is he knows he's just climbing out of the frying pan...........
Dude was shittin’ kittens
I agree. All in that room had it down like it was real.
I bet he finished that whole bottle of Jack 😂
The real star of this movie is that wallpaper behind Tony
😂😂😂😂😂
I will get that wallpaper put in my house
I've got the shirt!
I got the same on my wall lol fr
This is actually a true comment.
"Manol!! Chew dat pizza chip"
"No. No. NO! Oh."
😆😆
Lol
choot dat piss of chip
😂
When I was young and watched this, I rooted for Tony. But now that I’m older, I realize Frank was right all along.
HA! I hated Tony even as a kid bcoz he killed Manny. I knew he was trash even then. I never liked Tony Montana. I was a fan of Michael Corleone tho.
@@KingJin726 I guess that's the perspective thing
@AnTONIoMontana-ot2sg naaaaa, even as a kid I knew you don't betray your friends. If I didn't understand anything else, I knew Tony was a loser bcoz of that, and also he failed at everything else bcoz he got killed by the ppl he was connected with. I realized even more how big of a loser he was when I became an adult. The nigga was a coke addict, he was dirty macking, didnt have kids, and he broke the rules of the game. Everything Lopez said was true. Tony was a fuck-up.
@@AnTONIoMontana-ot2sg No. It's not perspective. Being a mature grown man shows you Tony was a piece of shit from every angle.
I think you are forgetting that Frank had an informant working for him. Nothing mattered at this point it was all over. Federal law enforcement knew about his entire operation. His right hand man was informing about all of it. Him or Tony running it wouldn't have mattered.
Maturing is realizing that Frank had every right to kill Tony. Tony made deals behind his back and without his permission, lusted after his woman, and barely showed any respect or gratitude...
Best comment in this video.
Yep. Frank was completely in the right. He even told Tony to stay low-key or he wouldn't last, which was ultimately true and one of the things that brought Tony down in the end.
@@Archedgar And Tony did the exact opposite lmao. What I love so much about this movie is that the first watch tricks you into thinking that Tony's downfall only came because he had morals and drew the line when it came to killing innocent children. In reality the drug trade which he participates kills thousands of people even underage ones, and getting in involved in the criminal underworld will without a doubt force you to stain your hands with the blood of innocent people.
No one had right to kill anybody, just two mobsters fighting for power and Frank lost. Then Tony lost because he was too arrogant.
“I did what i could on the side.” Sounds like he wasn’t betraying frank.
The best acting was that guy at the end. That was one scared dude.
I liked him and he never did wrong to anyone
His names Ernie. Legendary
For real.
Ernie
Ernie a real one
"Hey man, you gotta job". Always loved this scene, and that line delivery.
Hey JEWKRANIAN
@@Dciupeiu 👈 This account is 2 weeks old. Don't fall for bad bait 👍
He didn't kill Ernie because Ernie didn't have it coming. Stayed true to his principles
Also, while scared for his life, He didn't grovel like the 2 pizzas of chips before him.
Mel with his arms folded trying to stay out of it while Frank takes the heat. Typical company meeting
Ernie loved because he didn’t try to weasel his way out of it. When Manny asked Tony what to do about him, Tony waited to see what Ernie would do. Instead of pleading for his life or trying to make excuses, Ernie stood there, ready to take it like a man.
That belly shot on Mel still makes me wince
Mel went from "Don't go too far, Tony" to "Wait a minute" in about 10 seconds
It's Vince. Vravo bince!
In the "biz" we call it gut shot
He went out like a man tho
That would hurt, especially if it was a hollow point.
Tony had the other guy kill him because Frank had somebody else try to kill him. I guess you can call that a professional courtesy.
I never thought of it that's way. I thought I'm not going to kill you and keep his word kinda of way thank you for that tid bit
An eye for an eye.
@@MichaelStark-j8e Plus Tony knew that he was going to kill the cop Mel afterwards which was more dangerous (killing a cop), so he left the killing of Frank to his second in command. Plus after Frank's begging it made sense or at least good for the movie...
Ernie smartest guy in the room
Contratulatios u got a job!!! (Like there's an alternative to the question) 😂
Ernie the only one who stood tall
In a situation like this it’s best to stand tall, just be quiet don’t say anything.
Don't do drugs kids, be like Ernie.
Yeah, like Ernie. He just happens to take a swig of Jack Daniels but he doesn’t so drugs? Right?
So, do Jack Daniels instead?
Alcohol is a drug, dude.
@@CalebePriester thank you!
I truly believe he let Ernie live because he was the only one that didn’t try to sleaze his way out of getting killed.
Feech La Manna was a real pizza chit.
He stepped on one too many shoes !
He was always blaming those Diaz brothers for his own screw ups, boosting those cars from Hesch's friend's wedding was a bridge too far, even offering Elvira to Tony couldn't save him then.
He should have given Tony a couple of those HDTVs in his garage. Maybe Tony would have let him off the hook.

3:20 Tony is sadistic for tricking the cop into thinking he was safe with that line.
Who says he was a cop?
@@HisVirusness That line's so gangster.
2:55 "Manolo...chew that pizza chip!"
sounded like it haha
At least Mel didn't go out like his boss, sniveling coward. Old cop was defiant to the end
Ernie got a job because he was the only one that stood tall and wasn’t kniving and bargaining. Didn’t try no slick shit. Gotta respect it
No, he got the job because he told Tony in Russian that he had lost over 60 kilograms, and Tony said, "Yeah? Impressive."
Don Eladio really started this life early.
Pacino looked real disturbing and deranged in this film. Awesome actor
And the longer the movie went on the more stressed and disheveled he looked.
It's the coke.
Love it when Tony offers Earnie a job.
Mel went out like a man!
More like a boy...
Earnie = Worst bodyguard ever
😄😄
"I can fix this up" Thats the funniest line in the scene
His father was a TV repairman, and had the ultimate set of tools.
You can even see Ernie looking worried as he's realizing Tony is going to kill Frank. Great acting.
Bruno Mars has hardly aged a day.
Pacino seals the deal as the best actor...ever....in this movie.
😂
He played a better cuban than the actual cuban.
R.I.P., Angel Salazar AKA Chi Chi.
Ernie said he will be to work on time tomorrow lol.
Take two slugs/swallows Ernie. One to celebrate a new job ... and another to celebrate life! Your life.
Ju want a yob ernie?😂😂😂
I love Ernie. The man just stands there quietly with a sad face, allowing whatever is going to come, to come. No pleading, bartering or even speaking. He handled what could have been his death with courage. You gotta respect that. :)
4:49 Best job interview ever.
Ol' JD always helps takes the sting away from seeing fresh kills and tight suspenseful pauses eh Ernie? 😆
'Hey man, you got a job.' Funnies shit lmao
"Hey, you got a job" still makes me laugh after seeing this countless times.
The nervous swig of JD....
You can’t shoot a cop.
Whoever said you was one?
What a movie these guys made for us.
And to think Tony never told Frank he had to answer for Santino.
Frank and Mel went out like cowards, one begged for his life and the other tried to poorly negotiate his way out of it. But Tony went out like a badass.
“”Hey Man You Gotta Job!” 🎯
That's why they called him Frank the plank. His dead body was as stiff as a board.
Ernie! Get out from behind Frank!
you got a job Ernie HAHAHA
Best job interview
Well at least Mel wasn't on his k ees begging for his life....
Ernie is gonna need a fresh change
of underwear.
Ernie: The man. The Myth. The Legend.
"Hey, Frank, you`a piece a chit"
I just realized 2 Tonys got rid of him. Feech
🤯
After that guy patted Ernie on the back to congratulate him on a job, Ernie should’ve barfed everywhere 😂
Mel at least left with most of his dignity in tact: “fuck you!” Those are good parting words.
2:55 manolo crew that pizza chip
Shoo that pizza chit!
Speaking Montanese
"You want a job Ernie"
i’m cuban and love the fact al pacino made such a badass character, “manolo ! shoot that piece of chit!!”
ernie got a job, mission failed successfully - ernie himself probably 🤔
hilarious to hear a drug lord say give me a 2nd chance... 😅😅😅
I’d never seen this movie before and think imma watch it finally
“One of the best scenes ever” said Ernie
" you can't shoot a cop. Whoever said you was one"?
One of the most insane movies ever made. The bit with the helicopter and the guy being hung from it.
The writer actually interviewed a columbian cartel guy for details so he can write the script… apparently mid interview that exact thing happened.
Difference between Mel and Frank is Mel went out with his finger in the air Frank went out crawling & groveling on the floor 😂
Organic coconut water cuh, I keep ‘em in a fridge in my man cave..😂😂😂
“If you know you know”
Ernie didn't look too thrilled after getting the job.😄
Don Eladio in his prime!!!!
Chi Chi forgot the yeyo
Such a brilliant scene, especially the end where the tension is broken with humor, and mercy. The point there is that Tony had assumed already Ernie was going to follow the code and not rat -- this maybe was naïve, as Manolo seems to worry. But Tony has no animosity for Ernie (despite razzing him in an earlier scene for working for Frank), and really only came there to settle with two enemies - Ernie was 100% forgotten/afterthought. So he surprises everyone by going the peaceful, constructive route. In this context, and following some hidden themes in the movie (Tony never actually assaults or even really harms any non-criminals in the movie, other than maybe his sister, who was dabbling in his world) about how Tony tries to work in the underworld but aspires to live in high society, where he does value rules and the system working correctly. It's a source of some of his angst later in the film, as he gets more powerful, but still isn't happy (and doesn't have any kids from Elvira, a pain point in their relationship), and starts to realize the system actually has even worse problems, and even scarier sharks, than what he imagined.
Hey man you got a job 😅😅😅 Amen
Man, the fear the actor portrayed for Ernie before getting shot was so good and realistic.
And I thought getting fired was a bad day at the office..
What's yours is yours, Paulie. But what ain't is anybody else's!
What if the movie was called Scarf Face? It woulda been so much different!
Ernie the real MVP. He kept his cool all the way.
Ernie drink the bottle you earned it 😂
Here Fishy Fishy Fishy. 😂
Love how one goes out begging and pathetic and the other goes out in defiance.
Giorgio was cooking so damn hard on this score
Robert Loggia is the man
I live in Florida. 23 years ago a neighbor built a fortress of a home across the street. Multiple cars a couple of antiques one a 57 Chevy. At any rate, he was much older with a S American accent. We talked for a minute and he told me he was a retired mail man. I dunno I'm not sure to this day. He passed away a few years ago.
Alternative reality
“You want a job Earnie?”
“No, Tony”
one of the hardest job interviews earnie ever had! ...
Perhaps the best performer in this scene is not even shown:
Giorgio Moroder. The score he produced for this movie is out of this world
Al Paccino one of the best acting performances in Hollywood history in this movie
I always wondered if Tony would have stayed loyal to Frank if he hadn't tried to kill him. Tony makes a point of it, but it's hard to believe he wouldn't have been equally as ambitious... ignoring all the other stuff Tony did, of course. I wonder how long Frank could have put up with it before the final straw.
La cara de Ernie no tiene precio!!!!
I see that many comments Ernies not killing at the end.
That type of coworkers/sicarios are the most loyal against the boss after that because they know that Tony saved hims life so he will be loyal until the death side by side.
Whoa Feech, it’s parking!
There’s one major flaw in this scene. Why is Tony the only one with a gun? You’d think Frank and his sidekick would also be armed.
Steve Bauer said this scene was so intense, he got extremely anxious. You can see him really chew that gum hard after he shoots that pizza chip
Every dog has his day.
My man Ernie always keeps a good paying job 😂 Never unemployed longer than 20 seconds
Great movie with outstanding performances from many of the key actors
