Why didn't they create extra space in the 3rd row?
Or atleast an option that allows for that.
I agree it does need more room.
The pricing scheme for all the Teslas has changed so all the base models are of a lower price. In addition the Model S/X has changed how the "extras" are tagged on. They charge 1000 dollars if you want that yoke instead of the wheel they charge you a minimum 3500 if you want more than 5 seats, they charge a couple of grand if you want an interior that is anything other than black, but they no longer charge extra for the paint if you want any other color than gray or white. You have two options for the model. X or Plaid. No long or standard range option. With the drop in price, I am kind of considering one of these.
Thanks for the comment! They definitely just adjusted their pricing once again. The exterior paint options have remained the same and so have the interior. The difference is the yoke steering has increased. Most important is there is no more standard range. Only long range and the plaid for the model x and s.
The price also increased for the model 3 and Y.
Any options puts the $79,900 price over the $80k federal tax credit limit. Too bad as I was considering one with an optional white interior.
Kind of. Bro this is in a class of its own. Especially the plaid. I’m getting this when the kids are older. Y performance currently.

Great car . Just got MY long range with tesla solar ( or any solar)you can have all benefits from electric car . Pretty much good saving
that’s another $8.5k price cut in order for that to happen. i highly doubt it but i really hope so cause i really want the 6 seat with the red exterior and white seats for under $80k

I predict another price drop during the slow new car sales months of December and January. We have a Model Y but it’s hard to justify a $30k premium to get into an X.
Thanks for the comment! I hope there will be another price drop but it’s unpredictable on how Elon works. If anything, they’ll probably refresh the model Y. If you’re already comfortable with the Y, then you shouldn’t need the model X.
Last Year we rode a Blue Tesla Model X for test drive in Savannah. During the test drive we past Savannah Mall is around corner a cross street from Walmart.
Take off that spoiler ASAP, reduces range
How’s the road harshness, suspension, road impact?
Also it sounds noisy. Is it a noisy cabin?

I was torn between the Tesla Model X Plaid and the Rivian.
And bought the R1S because of its off-road performance, spacious third-row, and seat material.
I really disliked the seat material of the Tesla I used to drive.
By the way, look really nice color and love that falcon wing doors.

You made the right choice with the R1S. The model x is a horrible car, with real bad QA problems. You dodged a huge bullet.

Its still a good bargain since the X used to be above $100k. Also, the exterior colors are all free now.

doors aren't aligned on right side. :/ road noise is pretty bad. 2nd/3rd row leg room is really bad. yolk? um, no. steering ratio is whacked. obviously you like the performance... so enjoy!
It’s not the most luxurious vehicle and the leg room is definitely a disappointment however the technology and performance is something to admire.
You must have never sat in the 3rd row of a Model X. If you are more than 6' like me, you can stretch your legs out into the center passageway. My 6'4 stepsons fight for the 3rd row, because of this. It's infinitely comfortable! My Plaid the noise is not bad, especially when the noise cancelling is on. And my doors are aligned perfectly.

Just gonna cost you $60k extra to get similar performance/range as an X, all for a worse version of the GLS
How do you rotate tires that are different sizes? Do any Tesla's come with seat coolers?
Thanks for the comment! If you have larger rear tires than the front tires, you just switch the rear tires with the opposite side. You will also do this with the front tires by switching it with the opposite side.
Only the Model X and Model S has the capability of cool ventilated seats.
New 3 has it on the front seats
@@Clutchcarreviews the ventilated seats are only in the front it is not for the middle or third row passengers. Only heated seats for middle and third row passengers.
How comfortable is it to hop into the third row from the opening at the center row?

They need to the front edge of the door blend with the dash better. Everything looks smooth but that area where the front edge of the door and the dash looks like it could use some TLC.

we love Elon and support everything he does. We just have too many Tesla vehicles here in So Cal. We went with the Rivian. The X is a good vehicle and now priced right for all medium earning households earners.

What is medium earning in southern California in your estimation?
@@Icipher4 families that would traditionally buy Chevy Tahoe / GMC Yukon or Toyota Sequoia. $80k is no longer a luxury price point for a large vehicle.
With Lucid Gravity now starting at just under $80,000 per CEO (mostly likely either $79,995 or $79,990) It is a formidable competitor to Tesla's Model X (which I also own one). I must admit that the Lucid has better 3rd row headroom due to a higher roof line all the way to the location of spoiler. The Model X (as with any other Teslas) is more of the shape of a jelly bean. And the front seats on the frunk for the Lucid Gravity is really a big plus for picnic and family gathering. Also, the Lucid Gravity should beat Tesla in range for all the different trims which are comparable to those of Model X. It will be interesting. I, for one, is not very content with Tesla's quality. Now, there is a formidable option which is also from a very high-end brand (although somewhat new) - Lucid.
Thank you for your comment! I’ve always said the Tesla quality was minimalistic and what LUCID brings in terms of quality, is on a different level. I’m excited to sit in a Gravity in the near future, but I can only speak from experience in sitting in the lucid air our & grand touring models. The quality is much higher than that of Tesla and you feel like you’ve paid for what you get. This will be a competitor for the model X and what you stated is fact that it will be more capacity in the 3rd row as well.
The only problem in my opinion would be the cost and the range of the new gravity.
The base model X already gives about 350 miles of range for right under $80K. Plus you have access to Tesla’s vast charging network.
The range for the gravity is yet to be seen & tested, also, hopefully they are not like the Rivian brand as they charge extra money for larger batteries which equals more range.
It’s still exciting to hear the news and let’s see what else will pop up later on.

Almost every Model X review video I’ve seen people don’t understand that there is no need to hold down the captain char second row button in order to move the seat forward or back to get into the 3rd row. You only have to press it once and allow it to move forward and again when moving it back,, to slightly adjust it is what holding the button down is for. This guy I don’t believe owns this Model X, he’s apparently renting it for the review as many details pointed out by him was misleading and or incorrect in not only naming schema but also in materials and basic operations.
Just an added note, the other thing I keep seeing in multiple Tesla videos is people complaining about the steering wheel horn button not being dead center.. you can still slap the horn by covering all of the buttons on the right side of the wheel when needed, The Tesla knows you want to blow the horn when covering quickly all of the side buttons at once with the palm of your hand.
The yoke wheel is not standard anymore in 2024. If you want the yoke you gotta cough up and extra $1000 usd

Is it true that all tesla car have minor issues and are buggy...what was your experience?

This guy reviewing doesn’t own the car he’s just doing a review… So whether it’s buggy or has minor issues, he wouldn’t know, you need to watch videos from people that actually own the vehicle or go on the forums and read comments where actual owners post their comments. You have to take what these car reviewers say, with a grain of salt, because most of them only have the car for an hour if you’re lucky and they pump it up because they want more viewers which equals more money for them.

Stop the blabbering. I’ve owned a Model 3, Y and S. Only issue I had was a stuck charge port cover in the Y. Mobile repair fixed it in 30 mins at my own home. Also had the cameras in my S go black once, but simply restarting the computer fixed the issue.
It’s true, I own a 2023 Tesla model x standard. Bought it brand new October 2023, and on February 2024 my left passenger wing door was detecting a wall or vehicle at all times, so it wouldn’t open or sometimes it would open slowly, sometimes halfway, I wasn’t bothered at first, but then sometimes it wouldn’t open due to the vehicle thinking there was a wall.
Took it to Tesla, waited there and it took around 6 hours to fix. That’s the only thing so far.
I’m reading too many issues with the Tesla X for instance Falcon door malfunctioning, cheap windshield, suspension problems, monitor failure, panel spacing, and too pricey tires. If saving on gas is the selling point than I’m better off with my Palisade without those problems.
Thanks for the comment! Your concerns are valid however I believe all types of vehicles may have issues. I personally have not run into any issues with the model x nor have I known anyone that had issues. In my opinion, don’t let it sway in your head about potentially purchasing this vehicle. The percentage of getting a lemon is really low. There is more upside than downside with the model x.
I can tell you this though, the palisades has more room lol.
Each individual and vehicle are different financially. Please double check what you can afford before purchasing.
I suggest you actually go to see the vehicle first before making your final opinion unless of course you have sat in one. Are there higher class electric vehicles? Of course there are. However, the model x was over $100k previously and now it’s starting price is at $80k. That, in itself, is already a deal. Quality did not get worse.
I never disrespected your perspective. However you have insulted me personally by saying I don’t know what I’m talking about. You have every right to your own opinion. Knowing that this car is currently $80k instead of what it used to be, is already a win for new buyers. If this vehicle isn’t for you, then you have every right to shop for another EV that fits your price range and quality. Tesla’s infrastructure is one of the top reasons consumers go with this product. No one can sleep on that.
I was almost ready, to buy one. I did a test drive twice for an electric car with those options, plus free upgrades like color, and tow itch it sounds good, and driving was great too how fast it accelerates, nice view. I was okay with not-so-comfortable seats( if you will compare with BMW or Mercedes in the same price range Tesla made it cheap. But the biggest issue was feedback, one of my friends bought it in 2016 and the car is always in the shops for repair, and then I went to consumer reports to check for reviews, and the reliability was very poor. So not really want to spend 100K and always repair it, I need something more reliable.

You mentioned you drove the Model S. Is it a bit more restrictive climbing in the S (sits lower) vs the X? I know you can adjust the height but curious if its significantly harder for a taller guy to get into the S vs the X? Thanks!!
@@Capt737AAThanks for the comment! Its easy to maneuver into the driver seat for both vehicles. The only difference would be just the height of each vehicle. You wouldn't have any issue Unless youre Shaq's height.

I can't imagine the rear seats don't adjust forward and back?
It does however it’s more like it’s tilting forward to allow the passenger to get to the 3rd row

@@kevroll99 it is adjustable, but not by a lot. Acceptable for kids but tight for an adult IMO.
@@Clutchcarreviews maybe without the third row it would adjust back more? Really seems silly that the back seats wouldn't have more leg room in such a big vehicle. Also how far back were the front seats? That would obviously make a big difference in how much leg room there would be as well...

There is NO leather in this Tesla or any Tesla! So to say the yoke or steering wheel is wrapped in leather is INCORRECT
Tesla interior has synthetic leather.

Why did you get a yoke?
He does not own the car. He’s just using it for a review. If you want to know facts about these vehicles, you need to find videos from actual owners, or go on the forums and get the fax straight from people who own these vehicles not from a guy who drives it for less than an hour to make a video.
The backseats are not ventilated. Only heated. Feel like you’re reviewing a car that you really don’t know much about.
