brilliant casting decisions were made...everything about the LOTR movies are perfect. its what happens when you give the most talented people in the world time to create a great film.
Not gonna lie, I teared up, as usual at: "Never thought I'd see the day when I died side by side with an elf." "How about side by side with a friend?" "Ay, I can do that."
Yeah I got that too. She really wanted them to stay. It's so sad. And at at the beginning when McKellen says "we said we were going to have regular meet ups. Have you been having them without me"
I am also crying. I am crying because we will never have a Lotr movie with this crew again, crying because we already lost 2 of the greatest actors, to whom the crew will never be able to speak to again, crying because of heart broken Liv, crying because this crew will probably not find the time to go drink a beer together and have an amazing evening all together. Lotr is the greatest movie creation there is. I am thankful for it. I hope to meet any of the crew someday to be able to show them my gratitude.

@@robotjeans Sadly, it is the Academy that did not, and even now with the popularity and billions earned from Sci-Fi and Fantasy films, give the genre the credit that it is due. I was thrilled when ROTK won the Oscar. WELL deserved. STAR WARS was the opening door for so many of the films we know and love today. It should have won. ANNIE HALL did not deserve to win in 1977. Technical Oscars are fine, but all they have to look at is the box office and you can see what the public enjoys the most--and we vote with our attendance at the films. That is the best way we can support them.
"You are the greatest crew of all time." Normally those kind of words are hyperbole, but coming from Christopher Lee in respect to these movies, he's absolutely right.

And was beautiful to have that motivational speech that Christopher Lee gave to follow it. Very powerful
A divo perhaps? Lol!
I’m not sure people realize how special this really is. I’m not sure if we’ll ever see a production of this caliber ever again. Many studios have created epic movie series but none of them hold a candle to what was accomplished on these films. 🙏🏾
I do think the Narnia movies were really good as well. Lower budget movies than LOTR I would assume, but great casting and the special effects still look good and they seemed pretty true to the books.
“A wizard is never late Bilbo Ba-, Frodo Ba-, oop-“ I died 🤣🤣

Sean Bean actually survived in movie Flightplan.
Sean bean is the most deaths actor at 32% deaths per film
For real!!!
He survived in The Martian. Well...his job didn't.
I feel like Liv Tyler really REALLY loved the making and working amongst this crew. I mean, eveeyone enjoyed it, but I feel Liv still has some special nostalgia towards this life
Agreed. When she said at the end "don't go..." she really meant it.

It makes me happy to know that the Lord of the Rings is still regarded as a complete masterpiece, and is still receiving love from around the world. Each cast member helped make it the timeless, magic thing that it was and is. Greatest project ever conceived.

Funny that Orlando and Elijah are the only two who haven't aged.
The Ring Bearer and the Elf.
Dis you looked at Liv and Miranda?
I don't know, Orlando aged a lot to me actually....
Funny that you say that, because Stephen Colbert mentioned that at the Hobbit panel when the third Hobbit movie came out. Actually a funny moment.
Orlando looks like Oberyn Martell from "Game of Thrones".

So even unintentionally Gimli is still the comic relief.
That was very intentional, that dude is hilarious, when he tilted his camera up, that's just perfect.

This Movie won 17 Oscars for one reason. Because is a Masterpiece!
The Best Picture Oscar that Return of the King got was really for the whole trilogy, and well deserved.
Something Star Wars or George Lucas has never done
@@robotjeans Sadly, it is the Academy that did not, and even now with the popularity and billions earned from Sci-Fi and Fantasy films, give the genre the credit that it is due. I was thrilled when ROTK won the Oscar. WELL deserved. STAR WARS was the opening door for so many of the films we know and love today. It should have won. ANNIE HALL did not deserve to win in 1977. Technical Oscars are fine, but all they have to look at is the box office and you can see what the public enjoys the most--and we vote with our attendance at the films. That is the best way we can support them.
