California Fan Palms are Washingtonia Filifera. Because of the hairs it has and has a thicker trunk. Mexican Fan Palm "Washingtonia Robusta" doesn't have hairs on it and has a skinnier trunk. There are some Robusta that have some filifera in thier genetics, but not enough for them to be called Filibusta. Which have a way thicker trunk than the Filifera
