I love beets in salads or roasted. Roasted Beets 12 beets 3 tablespoons good olive oil 2 teaspoons |Ms. Dash Original Seasoning ground black pepper 2 tablespoons raspberry vinegar and some orange juice. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Remove the tops and the roots of the beets and peel each one with a vegetable peeler. Cut the beets in 1 1/2-inch chunks. Place the cut beets on a baking sheet and toss with the olive oil, Ms. Dash Original Seasonings. Roast for 35 to 40 minutes, turning once or twice with a spatula, until the beets are tender. Remove from the oven and immediately toss with the vinegar and orange juice. Season and serve warm.
I tried to grow beets in a container and didn’t get any beats only some leaves. Can you tell me what would be the recipe I should put in my container I live in zone 6B near Cleveland
Make sure you have a light potting mix - something designed for pots or add plenty of perlite. give them some distance from each other and keep them moist. Try again next spring! You would be in zone 6A.

Control of the weeds is my number one. Cannot spread if they cannot climb. And i can knock down the ones i do not want.
