One of the worst games I’ve ever watched. Tim Hardaway should not see the court, Josh Green should be 6/7 man, and Lively should start. And they have to, have to stop helping off so heavy. Have to guard yours, Luka needed help on every single possession.
They'll bounce back game 2, that second half was a confidence needer. Aslong PJ and Green defends Harden/Geroge we're good. Also just attack the paint if the 3s not falling, thats been lowkey our problem this season

The 3pt numbers pretty much spell out who’s playing perimeter defense and who’s not. I’m not sure you can call it chess when it’s simply which team decided they were playing to win and the other decided they were playing scrimmage.

This is a cold splash of water. Mavs beat themselves on this one. They cut it down to 12 so it would sting less but 8 pts in a single quarter? They got some soul searching to do. Really disappointing all things considered

@@1kbmahan??? Defense was the only thing they ddi well this game, they literally would have won this game if they didnt have the most statistically improbable quarter in Nba History .
They held the clippers to just 22 points in the 2nd aka GREAT defense, but also happened to only score 8 which is the lowest in playoff history for their franchise
they played fine defense and held them under 110, their offense just had a stroke in the first half

Clippers had their foot off the gas and wasn’t as focus. Their game plan was to let Luka and Kyrie score. Which they did in the 2nd half. The other guys would have to step up and Clippers are gonna shut the other guys down and let Kyrie and Luka get theirs.
they could have easily capitalized off of this game with kawhi being out. instead, they blew it and now kawhi has a higher chance of being healthy in game 2 and clips being up 2-0.
This was like the Bulls vs. Utah in 98 when Jordan told his Center Luc Longley to play hard in the paint before the game started. Mind you, THEIR 2nd best player Scottie Pippen was out due to injury. ** Luc had 12 points 12 rrbounds in the 1st quarter.
Zubac came out hard in the paint, too. With Kawhi Leonard out of the game.

The Mavs are young and don't have a super star, Michael Jordan. So they will need a giant middle strong middle man to handle defense blocking and handling players like Zubac 😂
Mavs showed in this game exactly why the Mavs and any Luka team the way he currently plays will never find playoff success: Luka 33pt in 42min, Kyrie 31pt in 39min - and basically no one else in their 10 man significantly contributed to their busted 97pt total.
And it’s not those player’s fault. Mavs embraced Luka Savior Mode (not the first time dallas has given everything to a white savior cornerstone to the detriment of the team..) and it’s simply not a consistently successful playoff formula.
And it never will be.
Wcf for a 22 year old w maxi and Dwight starting 5 is pretty successful. So everything besides winning the trophy is a fail? So clippers are a failure according to your own logic rught?
@@jarrettthomas4865 they haven’t even made it to the finals bro. Made it to the conference finals once and Warriors wiped the floor with them. If it wasn’t for Dereck Lively being a boss rookie, they’d probably not even be in the playoffs.

I knew they were going to come out and loss this game acting like they where invincible because kawhi wasnt there. I hate when teams do that. Now kawhi can rest for longer and get more healthy. Bad pathetic loss and dont under estimate harden he usually goes off in the playoffs, the only times he chokes is in those close out games. So expect harden to be good and if it comes down to it they have guys who dont typically choke in kawhi and pg and dont forget about Westbrook who is still a mvp and is still in phenomenal shape he isnt some washed allstar like the media tries to portray his physique is second to none rn, really look at dude
was at work and while looking up the stats I was like wtf up with the mass role players lol
2 things went wrong. The first and most important issue was the team around luka. No one was doing shit. Not screening, not rebounding, and sure as hell not trying to break free from their defenders. Just standing still and probably thinking "let luka handle it" which brings us to the second issue. Luka was high or something. Nah for real though this was not his day. Absolutely horrible scoring quota, which is unusual for luka. Hope they get their shit together next game

This game was an OOPS and if we played game 1 again it would likely be Mavs by 10+ but that is not the reality they face. Luka and Kyrie got buckets but the Clips also have scorers and defensively looked a level above Dallas yesterday. It could be a long series if Dallas finds some defensive mojo. NO excuses for either team at this point
