10:48 I think the reason behind geekbench ML test results being so low on both 8gen3 and 2400 is that this test is relatively new and not that much optimised for Android and the neural networks on both chipsets also haven't released an API yet so the developers don't have access to it samsung is currently just using them to run Galaxy AI. That also explains why Google's score was so low we all know Google's champ when it comes to on device AI. Another thing to note the API for the neural network of dim9300 is out and the developers have been using it for things like frame interpolation in games that's why even tho it ain't that much optimised for Android that chipset scored well
@@Gojo_on_pills nah, you can be right, those Geekbench ML scores seems too low on both Exynos and Qualcomm chipsets, also the optimisation problem in Adobe Rush for Exynos, I've seen many other tests and always seems that that app is bad optimised for the Exynos GPU, most sad part that even Luma Fusion that was exclusive to Apple and now is available on Android has much better optimisation for Exynos GPU.

I want to be excited for the Dimensity but despite those scores what most people are not thinking is that : - At those super high temperatures, even with a case on the phone (which actually worsens the temperatures) you will struggle to hold the phone - For now it is fine, but within about a year at most those temps will drag down the battery and also performance down by a lot I would like to clarify that Throttling is not a bad thing, but not Throttling when you get those super high temperatures is bad for the phone... Like at 9:11 the Dimensity is at a staggering 46.2 degrees while the SD 8 gen 3 and A17 are below 40 and yes even a single degree makes a significant difference in real world usage, like you can definitely feel that heat difference. - People don't buy phones every year, so people would likely spend less amount on phones and get something that gets through 2-2.5 years or get a super high end phone and expect it to last for 3-4 or even more years with relatively good performance as it was new ! I personally do use iPhone 12 and Samsung Note 10+ (Exynos variant since my country didn't get SD variant for that phone) and here are some things - The iPhone 12 is as of now almost 4 years old and I play games on it, watch UA-cam, do a lot more videos and photos than I thought I would and also have an average screen on time for about 4-5 hours (not that bad, but I use 2 phones...). - It still has 85% battery health, but the battery barely makes it through a day with my usage (I did buy an iPhone 15 2 days before because of that very reason) - The Samsung is as of now almost 5 years old ! It looks just as good as any other phone on the market, the cameras are surprisingly good, the S-pen is just lovely, the Dex is a beautiful thing to have, the phone does everything I want it to apart from playing games... - I did play Call Of Duty Mobile for about 4-5 months on the phone before getting the iPhone as my primary and after that I did not play any games in the Samsung, still use it for reading, watching movies, cameras mainly photos since videos are just soo much better on the iPhone And it lasts for more than a day and a half with about 3-4 hrs average screen time AFTER 5 YEARS So yes while Dimensity can flaunt its power for now, those temps show its brutal failing point, it WILL NOT LAST LONG... If it does, it is a pleasant surprise, but tech generally doesn't work that way. I am a normal person, who uses phones and laptop but I also can't afford to spend 300-400 dollars (well conversion rates wise it may be higher) every year or even 2 years, I would much rather spend 800 dollar and get a phone to last me more than 4-5 years like a good Samsung and iPhone and only upgrade when really needed Also holy shit, I didn't realise how much I had typed XD Sorry for the very long message ...
Exactly, it would not be surprising if MTK chipset dies early or needed a reballed with these kind of temperatures. But it may mot happens with all the improvement in fabrication, solder technologies and thermal management. However, the batteries will definitely be affected by those constant high temp. Kinda reminds me of those time with sd810 where manufacturers are forced to throttle down the chip so it wont kill the battery and die early as the first batch did. Hope it wont happened as i do own x100 pro as my camera-phone, but the heat is concerning whenever i use it for taking videos and pictures compared to the Z60 ultra. Its worryingly hot and it doesnt even have a case on!
@@Aizemiyo Yes i agree as well, companies should realise that it is fine to have like 5-10% difference in performance which can be negative as well, but if it has better temps, it would be better, the battery, or as I like to call it, the soul of the phone just dies with more heat....
Very disappointed for the tensor 3, didn't not expected that much difference, what's terrifying me it's that i'll buy this phone in 10-15 days and i'm afraid of it's performance and also what's terrifies me even more, with that score, how will it be able to support 7 years of updates...
I think it'll be fine in day to day you won't notice a difference and games still run good just not the best and how it will perform in 7 years obviously isn't answerable but it'll be better than like a s23 Ig because one UI sucks
The optimization is amazing so its very snappy Unless you're a phone gamer or constantly editing 4k video its a great phone! 7 years is bullshit, in 7 years it will perform like a iphone 4s on ios 9.
There are two types of optimisation. Smartphone manufacturers who tune their smartphone to their liking and there is chipset manufacturers who optimise the performance as per user's requirements

Personally, I think they did a good job on this one. Especially the mention of Cross-OS-Comparison being invalid, which is true. But I don't get why people still compare Googles Tensor G3 (which was falsely named Tensor 3 here) against flagship SOCs, Google never mentioned the G3 being high-end. Otherwise I absolutely agree, the camera comparisons on this channel have gone downhill, which should be apparent by my comment on the last video, which luckily got some attention.

Reason why Exynos 2400 struggled last and in Adobe Rush becasue it's not perfectly compatible. Plus battery drain is higher due to the fact that it's a ten core chip.
MediaTek is maybe doing a good job but the temps are crazy high(47°C for a cellphone is insane) which makes me think they are just not thermal throttling their chip enough and hence it manages to score better.

I think the problem of exynos closing on rush is from the app not optimized
Yes. Though they have tried to keep the competition mostly fair but the real story is app optimisation and android ROM optimisation.
Apple is always consistent because they have a certain level of rules and guidelines when developing the app 😅
Wrong samsung's semiconductor fabrication facility is the reason. Snapdragon 8 gen 1 was hot chip because they were manufactured by samsung. Of samsung's exynos chip would be manufactured by tsmc exynos will also have their own advantages against Qualcomm in other segments such as Ai and camera professing
@@fevad1246 That's true for Exynos and Snapdragon chips like 888 and 8 gen 1 but here Rush is not running properly because Rush is not optimized for most chips. I want to be excited for the Dimensity but despite those scores what most people are not thinking is that :
- At those super high temperatures, even with a case on the phone (which actually worsens the temperatures) you will struggle to hold the phone
- For now it is fine, but within about a year at most those temps will drag down the battery and also performance down by a lot
I would like to clarify that Throttling is not a bad thing, but not Throttling when you get those super high temperatures is bad for the phone...
I personally do use iPhone 12 and Samsung Note 10+ (Exynos variant since my country didn't get SD variant for that phone) and here are some things
- The iPhone 12 is as of now almost 4 years old and I play games on it, watch UA-cam, do a lot more videos and photos than I thought I would and also have an average screen on time for about 4-5 hours (not that bad, but I use 2 phones...).
- It still has 85% battery health, but the battery barely makes it through a day with my usage (I did buy an iPhone 15 2 days before because of that very reason)
- The Samsung is as of now almost 5 years old ! It looks just as good as any other phone on the market, the cameras are surprisingly good, the S-pen is just lovely, the Dex is a beautiful thing to have, the phone does everything I want it to apart from playing games...
- I did play Call Of Duty Mobile for about 4-5 months on the phone before getting the iPhone as my primary and after that I did not play any games in the Samsung, still use it for reading, watching movies, cameras mainly photos since videos are just soo much better on the iPhone
And it lasts for more than a day and a half with about 3-4 hrs average screen time AFTER 5 YEARS
So yes while Dimensity can flaunt its power for now, those temps show its brutal failing point, it WILL NOT LAST LONG...
If it does, it is a pleasant surprise, but tech generally doesn't work that way. I am a normal person, who uses phones and laptop but I also can't afford to spend 300-400 dollars (well conversion rates wise it may be higher) every year or even 2 years, I would much rather spend 800 dollar and get a phone to last me more than 4-5 years like a good Samsung and iPhone and only upgrade when really needed
Also holy shit, I didn't realise how much I had typed XD
Sorry for the very long message ...
