Camera comparisons should be done by someone that knows at least anything about sharpness, or actuality of pictures and is not biased. Someone that does not favorite oversharpened ones or, in most of these cases, yellowish tint in case of the iPhone and OnePlus, greenish tint on the Pixel, or even in the case of the Samsung, blueish/magenta tint thats being considered ''good or bad exposure with good amount of contrast'', what does saturation or post-processed contrast even have to do with exposure? That gives me the feeling she has absolutely no idea what she is talking about, instead, she just seems to throw out random terms of photography to seem semi-professional. I, as a German myself, expect a high-standard on channels like these, that do mass-comparisons. But this channel has gone downhill real bad in the last few months, since Olivia has appeared. Also, what the heck was going on in the zoom-comparison? The iPhone is at 2x while all the others are at 3x and then also giving the points for the advantage you've given to the iPhone? That's truly the most insane and bullshit thing I think I have ever seen, especially because OnePlus has 3.2x optical and Pixel does not have a 3x telephoto, which the video (wrongly) suggests. You guys didn't even bother testing more than 5x where Google and Samsung exceed. Also, summary-mistake with the OnePlus and Samsung points not being considered for slow motion. Worst video on this channel so far, coming from an unbiased person watching.
Olivia is a bad host for camera comparisons. Her presentation seems alright, because she tries to be friendly and not overly trendy, but most of the time, for me personally, she seems a bit over the top, with some funky movements or absolutely nothing that seems related to the real world, at least for me as a guy.
She clearly, since the start of her appearance, has shown to be extremely biased towards iPhone shots, for some reason. I would understand, if the pictures would actually look better than ANY of the other phones, even a Vivo X100 Pro Plus Ultra Max Mega Super or whatever it's called, but so far, I have not seen that being the case in 9 out of 10 situations.
A shame really, but she is the reason many are unsubscribing, including me many weeks ago, that at least know something about photo-/videography or just appreciate honesty without any bias.
Please, for the sake of credibility, get another host to do these, at least Max was less biased than Olivia.

@@Udayveer_Singh I agree. She babbles something about exposure and focus. Detail is what matters, and she never compares the captured details, from our viewer's point, she can talk all she wants and we can't compare, as we don't have the ability to look at the pictures from upclose like she has.

Correct, this video is misleading as f, it's not camera comparison, it's Olivia's ranking. For example, max points to iPhone at 4:27 while the whole picture has magenta tint, while literally a picture before she trash OP for having green tint.

Unfair. They compared 2x vs 3x and did'nt compare 10x, 25x and beyond and in low light... It's the only channel where S24U loses a zoom battle.

There's quite a difference between their s24 ultra and others s24 ultra. Even my s23 ultra takes far better pictures than their s24 ultra. Maybe it's a defective unit lol

Mine s23 ultra and s22 was a disaster in terms of camera quality, zero consistency, random colours, washed out pictures, blurry, doing picture of moving kids was impossible, 99% blurry images. Even my old mate 20 pro does better images than s22 and s23u.

19:24 to my eyes, the PIxel looks the most pleasing here. It lacks a little contrast but comparing it to the other 3, it looks the best.

I have had all three... I tend to think the iPhone is best overall, but Pixel and S24 are extremely close... I really only give the iPhone the win because of video...for photography I still prefer the Pixel in most scenarios

Despite I think Samsung is still a good phone with good cameras, I really, REALLY hope, that Samsung will improve their cameras and get better quality cameras.. I notice often some flaws which make me think to go from Samsung to Google Pixel.

Owned the Note 20 Ultra therefore, which also had some flaws in it... I think the best Samsung phone I owned, was the S10 Plus (despite it was the Exynos model, my Note 20 Ultra was Exynos either, also not very bad)...

It's cameras are better than this "comparison" says. Yes it misses the HDR sometimes but the colour accuracy os way beyond S24U. Also she failed ro do proper macro shots because thats where this phone exceeds (i have it myself together wth an S23U) but that phones has some somftware rhings that you may bot like.
Also, like colourOS, OxygenOS will soon get an update which will make the UI look more IOS like..m keep that in mind.

Unlike most commenters, i liked this comparison video. She seemed to give points based on real life accuracy most of the time and i respect that. Most reviewers i watch pick the best depending on what seems the most pleasing rather than what the real scene looked like.
Pointing system at the end is flawed imo and exaggerates the differences and is probably why some people got riled up.
In zoom section of the video it seemed that she is using sharpness and detail interchangably, or so i got the impression. She deducted points from samsung for being less sharp. It doesnt make sense because sharpness isnt even something that is desired, "Detail" is. In the building photo its clear that iphone is oversharpened, so samsung should have gotten more points for being less sharp, or not oversharpened in other words.
I dont support any brand. The zoom example was to point out a error in your test.
If you want to make a better comparison, you should fix the final pointing system and be very careful with the terms. (Though they were correct for the most part)

The truth is that if you have watched some other comparisons, on UA-cam. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this camera comparison. Its just that other youtubers base on different backgrounds and scenarios and Sammy comes on top. I truly attest to the opinion that maybe samsung has made their camera to learn from top end youtubers and photographers and the scenariosthey subject the cameras to, but it seems that versus is testing the lenses new to sammy. Sammy will be like, I wasn't trained with this. But yet it's still shockingly good. Kudos to Sammy

I would go with the Pixel, I don't much like it's oversharpening but in most side by side comparisons, though it trades blows with the iPhone and Samsung, it has taken my breath away, absolutely extraordinary. That said, I would like to see how it compares with the Oppo Find X7 Pro and the Vivo X100 Pro, as from a photographers perspective, those two are apparently next level, though lack the consistency of the iPhone and Pixel.
Getting back to the phones you tested here, in video, though, I would go for the iPhone, though I'm interested to know how the Pixel 8 Pro does in video when shooting with MotionCam, does it equal or better the iPhone using when the latter is using Pro Res????

You should try turning off selfie beautification and/or artifical intelligence in galaxy when you encounter saturated photos. I for one keep both of them turned off.
Please add selfies in very sunny / high light areas. It's very often in OnePlus (at least 11) that selfies during sunny days completely loose background / all is white. I wonder if in OnePlus 12 they fixed it.

They manipulated this comparison by not updating the s24 Ultra which is still on the factory software, noticed from the main camera photos with some bug that underexposed faces

The edge detection isn't that important to me. I guess that is a make or break for others. But it's interesting what others care about comparatively.

I don't understand why OnePlus always loses details and definition on portrait shots. Every freaking time it will fail to capture facial details, textures and definitions of the subjects on portrait shots. It will always tend to smoothen the subject along with the background. Even in the images here in this video, OnePlus portrait shots don't have details of your hair nor your jacket nor your face. Everything is smooth and flat. This is bad, especially for the flagship they are offering for 800 dollars. Sometimes even vivo and Realme with their 400 dollars phone capture sharper detailed portrait shots than OnePlus. This sucks.
When you're running with the cameras, I've noticed in every one of your videos. It's the camera that is on the side of your 4 phone holder, that always gets the worst results

how tf are u doing camera tests when you don't zoom in to look for details, how they preserve in tough conditions. Camera is not just color accuracy and dynamic range.
The findings of this comparison has the dubious distinction of being contrary to every other comparison I've seen of those phones, and I've seen many! Many of the reviewer's conclusions were not consistent with what I'm seeing with my own eyes; the Samsung and Pixel won this comparison for me, followed by the iPhone and then the OnePlus.

Almost all these shots where you said something negative seem like user error. I own all of them except for the OnePlus. For example your macro section, You're probably holding the phones way too close. Yes it's macro but it still has a minimum focus and distance which you probably exceeded and each one of them has a different minimum focusing distance so your little contraption would not work

These reviews are very subjective. Blind camara comparison is always the best
These comparisons are subjective, we have eyes, which looks better on average to you, if you listen to these presenters and what they prefer, you'll know what they like but with these honest/ non tampered photos and videos you'll also know what you like, a win- win. It's really impressive to see OnePlus's evolution in camera, from being average to having a great set of cameras that's capable enough to rival with giants like iPhone, Samsung, and Google at a lower price point.
S24 Ultra's hardware is just underutilized by its inconsistent ISP, unlike its predecessor.
iPhone's blue tint is quite prominent in most of its photos.
Overall, each of them performed really well in various situations, despite the flaws. It's the matter of subjective. Nice comparison though.

Oneplus cameras have been top notch since 6 lmao. Average youtube advertisers just suck at photography and if best outcome is made with manual adjustment they will say it is shit. Oneplus 12 camera is best of all these just because it is so versatile if used right.

To be honest and to my surprise, iPhone really did the best job in most of the scenarios. For years i thought that you can get much better results with other phones than what you get on the iPhone and actually you can when using pro mode on androids. However using only an auto mode really gives the win to iPhone, it stays the most consistent and creates acceptable image every time, there are none of huge flaws making any of its pictures totally bad, whereas all of the competitors did more or less and the "winning" part for me is that all of the mistakes by iPhone can be fixed with some editing as there is no need to fix the noise or blur on its pictures, it simply has the best quality and plasticity. I'm not an Apple fan by any means, what I saw and see in many different videos makes me continuously angry as i need the best camera I can get but with an android. I miss the times of LG G3, nowadays all these phones seems to give us pictures that look like they were made by different cameras all the time. We will see that until we get some serious step in hardware development, or at least the companies will focus on harnessing the software they made, for now we only get fed by the "magic" that these post processing AI bulls**t does, which means basically that S24 gives us the most beautiful image that can be made and minutes later it makes something that looks like the software degraded the camera because it sometimes has no fu****g clue how to magically improve what it sees.
Even if you don't want to correct the error in the Zoom category ("The iPhone wins the Zoom category, then comes the Pixel... a.s.o.": but Pixel got 0 points, but Samsung 1 point) - then the iPhone has twice as many points as the Pixel. Sorry, but that's ridiculous...

For all those hardcore Samsung fans complaining author did not do good job with this comparisson - try taking a decent pic of moving subject. Person, kid, pet... Then try to do it in indoor conditions (even with great light). Go to your gallery and see the results. Phone, especially in this price range, that can't get a decent pic of moving subject in 2024. (and there are numerous other camera problems) should not even be compared and does not belong in these kind of videos.
PS no, camera assistant does not help. No, you should not pay 1500 bucks/euros and then mess with pro mode and all those settings in order to get a decent picture.
