Angela Lansbury sings "A Parade in Town" from ANYONE CAN WHISTLE (1964, Broadway)

In honour of the 60th anniversary of the Broadway premiere of Anyone Can Whistle, a snippet recorded from a performance on April 9.
The rest of the creators of the show were: Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics), Arthur Laurents (libretto & direction), Herbert Ross (choreography), the Eckarts (scenic design), Theoni Aldredge (costumes), Lee Remick (Nurse Fay Apple) and Harry Guardino (Hapgood).

She sounds so good, just as good as on the album too. The strength of her performance alone should have kept this show running longer. 1964 Broadway didn't know what they had!
