- the limited and platinum highlander come with puddle lights that say Highlander. you can turn them on, off or lengthen or shorten the amount of time they stay on. this is how.

Steven I always get a wow or that’s really sharp when a friend sees the puddle light beam Highlander sign on the ground! I love it 🤩🙌🏼

We have a 2015 Highlander “Limited”, does it have the puddle lights or no??? If not, how would I go about getting them, replacing the mirrors that have the puddle light feature or am I just S.O.L.??? Thanks in advance.
Another good video Steve! Thanks! This is my wife's question. Is there a way to show the outside temperature on the screen of our 2021 Highlander? Our old Highlander had it on the screen and she liked being able to know the temp. She can't see the one on the driver's dashboard due to the angle and smallness. Thanks for any info.

Hi Steven - I just bought a new 2022 Highlander Limited and have the puddle lights from the Mirror. Just curious, my wife has a Toyota RAV 4 2018, and she has lights underneath her car, that come on as you approach the car. My Highlander came with running boards and they said they could not add the lights underneath because of the running boards. Did not know if your familiar with this comment, or if they can be added underneath the car with running boards.
it probably uses the running board mounts to install the lights

REALLY good video. Thanks very much. Don't have a Highlander. I have a '20 Avalon Limited. The mirrors have puddle lights underneath, but I can't get them to come on. Followed your instructions.: 1) Menu 2) Settings 3) Vehicle 4) vehicle customization, but there is no "Exterior Lights Auto-off Timer." Do you have an explanation?

No, it’s not, just the puddle light on right side(passenger side)

It should go off with time or when you press the lock on the key fob

that would be cool. I believe it is a filter over a light so I dont see why it would be impossible.
My " Vehicle " option in my menu isn't available for some reason. Even though the heading is there, you can't access it. Mine's a 2021 CHR model Koba.
Any suggestions on how to get it back?
I just got a highlander platinum and that setting is set to 30 seconds but they do not come on.
Turn your headlight switch to Auto. I believe that has something to do with it as well.

Hi Steve i purchased a 2013 toyota venza the puddle light won't turn off completely at night when it is pitch dark the light is still on very wick
Are the interior lights on too?
@@stevenwelchtoyota no i turned them off in order to save battery power.the car dealer's mechanic managed to turn the puddle light off .the next day i took the car to toyota dealership near my place for a total diagnostic and they weren't so enthusiastic to find out what's wrong with it.
