I’m with Yunji, wasn’t that impressed with Califa’s Al Pastor. Maybe it was just a bad night. Didn’t get to try her fav Al Pastor spot when I was there, but I really liked orinoco’s Al pastor. Had a nice good char from the trompo
It’s so funny. I have had a lot of friends with similar feedback re Califa. I’d encourage you to try it at least once more if you have time. What’s also funny is _everyone_ loves Orinoco. I actually didn’t care for it my first time, but the last five times I’ve gone I love it. Definitely check out Los Parados next time and try their al pastor and areachera con poblano y queso! Cheers!
@@intristang my sister told me the same thing, she said get about 10 tuna tostadas haha. Unfortunately they are fully booked so we booked the sister restaurant which has pretty much same menu. Thanks for the recs, much appreciated
Absolutely fantastic Mariscos. I spent $70 on myself because everything was incredible.
Yassss!! Mi Compa is deli!! Try a place where locals go, around the corner from my apartment in Col. Del Valle on Insurgentes, Maviri.
Glad you agree-it’s so good! I will have to try that next time! Thanks for watching & commenting 🍻
Mi Compa slaps for lunch. Contramar for dinner.
I can definitely respect this take! Contramar’s fig tart is SO good 😌
Didn’t get to go there but def going to try it next time. Califa is def over priced but still yummy. I would say go to La Guererense
Mi Compa Chava has not slowed down at all! Califa's prices have continued going up. I think a gaona costra is $8+!

Califa is not the best, try Tacos Manolo in Luz Saviñon 1305, Narvarte. Actually is imposible to tell which are the best but Califa definitely aren’t.
Hi can you tell me best place for tostadas??
Let me think about it--can't think of anything off the top of my head. In CDMX? Any chance you're going to Guadalajara?
@@intristang just Mexico City, I’m doing my food research so if you can’t think of anything don’t worry. Thank you!
Check out La Docena for seafood and tostadas. El Pescadito for shrimp/fish tacos
The tuna tostadas at Contramar are great. I just think their fish and other dishes are overrated

I guess you’ll have left by the time my sons and I arrive on 6th Jun but can yo recommend your favourite in La Condesa?
Unfortunately I won’t be there 😞 favorite seafood place or favorites in general?
Sit down tacos: Orinoco or El Califa. Stand up tacos: Los Parados (Roma Sur but quite close to Condesa). Pizza: Dr. Pizza. Fish tacos: el Pescadito
If you’re looking for anything else in particular, let me know! Enjoy your trip! Hope your sons can keep up with you 😉

@@intristang Many thanks. Enjoy your time in Europe.
