    INSANE Halo Infinite Movement has been discovered! Super bouncing is back in halo! i really am happy with how infinite's movement has shaped up and i think this is the best gameplay halo has ever had. Halo Infinite Season 4 has been so much fun ! wish 343 would fix the servers and RNG and inconsistencies/bugs

    Think the better statement would be that Halo is a shooter, with infinite and 5 having more focus on movement compared to the rest.

    Halo Infinites movement is peak!
    Halo 3 is my forever favourite too (I'd love the BR to be projectile again) but Halo Infinite brings fun and a skill range to momemts that usually have been just... walking.
    MP wise I'm enjoying Infinite over all other games and thats quite a high praise because I've been playing A LOT of competitive shooters.

    As someone who likes both fast movement and boots on the ground I'd say halo is more akin to something like counterstrike cause if you're good enough with surfing in cs then you can do the exact if not similar moves in halo games. Halo is more of a movement shooter than something like cod or battlefield in that respect.

      I’ve played on both series X and pc…. Everything runs so much smoother on pc… just navigating the map, rotating and transitioning from slide to clambering.. jumping from spot to spot without feeling like your in mud… hit reg is instant and more consistent feeling like I’m playing offline… the strafing on pc vs consoles makes the biggest difference… if you notice it has the apex legends affect to whereas on console if you strafe it’s left-center-right or right-center-left …. it’s a slight threshold barrier that you have break… whereas on pc it’s left-right or right-left making strafing instantaneous( bouncing left and right effect) and with PC having slight aim assist you’ll have the advantage over most console player… these things seem petty but at a certain level they play a major role in gunfight scenarios.. just the hardware capabilities alone is far superior your playing the same game at 2 different speeds and one version is out performing the other… but aye i guess

    I don't think it should be called a movement shooter. It has an advanced physics engine. All halo games have had this; Even grenade jumps from CE are a version of this. Halo infinite has perfected Halo's movement, not because they added thrusts and clamber and sprint and a grapple and stuff, but because movement relies on the physics engine.

    I started out really gaming with counter strike, even before 1.6, then I found halo ce, and really started in halo 2, learning combos, learning maps and movement in that. Halo 3 of course was up there. I didn't like halo 5. I'm like a level 148, I got to onyx, I know I could of got to champ, I just didn't play it much. I kept going back to mcc even though it was broken, just so I could play Halo 2, ce and 3. I've barely played 700 games on infinite. I just have the time to grind like all these 18 year old kids and learn every inch of movement and snort addys. I play maybe 1 or 2 days a month if I'm lucky now. I do want to enjoy infinite but I just can't. I won't get into sbmm, but this game is too dead for me to grind the movement. So I'll play it like halo 2

    • @Nifty_Noob
      @Nifty_Noob  8 місяців тому +1

      Hmmm interesting i will say as someone woth 2300+ hours the game is not dead very lively honestly even if overall population is like 30-40k i wouod say if you like infinite gameplay “which i consider it to be just about peak it feels like modern halo 3” its worth spending a fee hours learning most of it it really makes alot of the gameplay feel so fun, slippin and slidding around the map and catching people off gaurd i am a big fan of movement in shooters and infinite is a great blend of classic and modern

    • @-ouv
      @-ouv 8 місяців тому

      @@Nifty_Noob the biggest movement I've mastered and learned was putting kids on skates in warzone verdansk days. I got very decent and good at the game. That's as far as much movement I want. I didn't enjoy halo 5 much. I'm a halo 2 kid at heart, and I'm not saying new games have to be that. As long as mcc is online I'm content and happy. I do wish more played halo 2 but that's besides the point. I'll be playing infinite, but the sbmm is a major turn off for me. I don't have time to learn something majorly new, considering I only play maybe 2 days a month, but if I'm in social, I shouldn't have to sweat like I did on halo 3 MLG level 50 searching. It's social! Sbmm is what's killing it for me. I made a smurf the first month infinite released. I didn't play first 2 weeks it came out. I made a smurf, played social with friends who are less skilled. Then we tried ranked, I was getting matched with onyx and d6. Even after I got my rank down to bronze 1. That's insane. I should be able to sweat in a ranked sweat playlist, then be social in social. I shouldn't be yelling 1 shot, 2 on me, absolute, etc in social every game.

    I never liked the "Halo doesn't need sprint, slide, clamber, this and that" argument. At some point, a new core mechanic is bound to be introduced in Halo, it's a common thing to do in this industry. Infinite does a good job at satisfying OG and newer fans, I just hope 343 doesn't lean towards one side of fandom and ignore the other. Keep it balance.

    I guess you can call it a movement shooter but when you look at all of the other movement shooters like cod and apex it tends to feel like an outlier. Especially when you watch halo pros play they definitely utilize curb slides and skill jumps but it’s not a focus of their gameplay. It’s more about teamwork and positioning in pro halo. The biggest movements that are important are curb slides and strafes/jiggle peaks. Again you CAN call infinite a movement shooter but it’s not like the games you generally think of when you hear the term.

    • @Nifty_Noob

    I still think halo is better off with its classic movement. Sprint, slide, and clamber have greatly effected things like map design, aiming, and other things core to halo. Movement was always apart of halo but the classic movement allowed for a certain map design and certain gameplay which can’t be used for modern movement mechanics. It also can’t be solved by simply not doing it because of the reasons I stated.

    Dude halo is a movement shooter lol. Always has been. Halo 3 had so many movement tricks. Skill jumps, strafe tricks, ghost jumps etc... halo 5 was all movement. Hell even h2a and reach had movement aspects... Spring jumps, short hops, etc etc. Infinite movement is nice. Nkw if we could just have the net code to support it.

      @@Nifty_Noob you getting those from Xbox? Because on steamdb you thats straight up false, you have to cut off a zero. halo's api, so it's both combined, yeah steam is a bit less from xbox for obvious reasons and also cause 343 shit on PC mnk for over a year, also some cods are movement shooters, destiny 2 with all its movement tech is, most halos are, hmmm but hey i mean if you think other wise down to hear why @@DrDemoman74

    • @DrDemoman74
      @DrDemoman74 10 місяців тому +1

      @@Nifty_Noob honestly the player number thing was just banter- what I'm curious about is what is an fps that *is not* a movement shooter in your mind? My point is that if we include games like halo 1,2,3 etc into the definition then I cannot think of a single multiplayer fps that doesn't have any movement tech outside WASD and space etc. Maybe the very very old rainbow six games? I was going to say golden eye but that does have movement tech. So if almost every mp fps is a movement shooter we need a word to seperate infinite from like halo 2, because the types of advanced movement in both (which im not denying are there) seem very very different to me, in effectiveness, ease of use, and applicable situations. In infinite at any moment you gain insane momentum from slide techniques while the early halos usually have it be contingent on a specific weapon, item, object and location etc.
      Tl:dr we need some definition wise to seperate early halos and infinite as it pertains to their movement imo.
