natural onyx player here, with less than 100 hours played. ( should show that i'm naturally good, and i don't practice.) been playing halo since i was 8 back when halo 1 came out. all advice is okay.. it's just not going to get you past Plat rank though. what makes you get further and deeper into higher ranks is spawning patterns. the idea is "if you know generally where all 4 of your opponents are on the map, without seeing them, you have a huge advantage" the only way to do this is keep track of the kill feed and all team player locations and at least 1-2 enemy opponent locations. Then you will be on a path to onyx, and this might sound crazy, but you don't need to have superior aim to play at onyx level. if you have great positional awareness, an understanding of map spawn rotations, and a little luck with decent team-mates ( if you are solo ) , you can win 100% of your games even if you are the least accurate on your team. Now before you think i'm talking you can win with 30 % acc. that is not what i'm saying, you want to be a minimum of 45% accuracy at diamond + ( my accuracy is always between 50-62% and thats including a heafty amount of pre-firing shots, p.s. you don't need to be as accurate as me. but if you are, you will get mvp every game even if you are on the losing team). if you are in the 30% range, then you def should work on aiming. but overall to be good at halo, it's not that difficult, just good positional awareness will get you to diamond and low onyx.

I like doing a at objects that are one shot to warm up. I practice, right stick aim, then left stick aim, then aim with right stick while you straff only one direction, like running for cover, then i straff and aim. @Taylor_Lifts666 Halo is a different breed of fps shooter. From ttk, spawns, AA, and how to aim. If you incorporate left stick aiming in any fps title, you will see it helps. Halo is just a heavier left stick aim shooter. Every fps plays different. Although the fundamentals are basically the same.

There's an temporary overshield that protects the spartans for a split second once they spawn now. This throws off your shot count due to them not taking damage for that duration and makes it harder to kill them as fast as you are.

Most of the stuff you say is almost good advice. There are about 10 extra things you could say about aim sensitivity, strafing in an intentionally hard to predict way, jumping when the opponent is quarter shields or less, shooting above the shoulders only etc
To help people get better at Halo. Yeah there are people better than me and I have a lot to learn. I can teach people lower than me and still learn in the process. "A black belt is just the beginning, not the end, of martial arts training."
It’s degenerate that you just strafe aim those shots. The game should not track enemies for you, you should have to right stick aim to adjust for the enemies strafe.
@@B1OChemist it would be super hard to keep up with the strafe speed, but something should be done to increase the mechanical skill ceiling. Maybe lower the fire rate to make each shot higher risk.

I've heard the latter recommended here and there when I'm wondering I'm so god awful at aiming in this game. Your videos are nice and to the point by the way, though I'm not so sure it helps much for a moron like me.
For me bot practice doesn't accurately simulate the bull shit I experience in an actual game shooting bots feels crisp and responsive every bullet seems to hit its target and if It doesn't It because I can see my retical was off target but in game I swear sometimes it feels like my gun is just making noise no bullets just shooting noise at people
I get this all the time, too. This is just a basics video. So you can start building good habits. Better habits are formed in the later half of the video.
In the instances where you feel blanks. It is super important to always be near your team and just team shoot. Damage is key not kills. If you back someone off they aren't fighting.
Why won't bots join my game?
Did you get it to work?
I think so. Don't remember the context of my question, to be honest. Probably something to do with academy vs custom game or something.
10-4!
Most of the stuff you say is almost good advice. There are about 10 extra things you could say about aim sensitivity, strafing in an intentionally hard to predict way, jumping when the opponent is quarter shields or less, shooting above the shoulders only etc
Some of the stuff is personal/ situational and I want people to focus on the basics first! Great ideas though!
It’s a bot - does not matter. If you need help add beyond 9000
Which one there's 3 of them?
All numbers and a super saiyan master chief helmet with a dragon ball as visor “BeYonD 9000”
this guy like a plat player?
No
Br works better
A lot of people's accuracy popped up from what I noticed. However, the br is goated.
Dam MF still play this shit lol
Halo is love, halo is life
why are you giving advice? don't take that personal, honestly.
To help people get better at Halo. Yeah there are people better than me and I have a lot to learn. I can teach people lower than me and still learn in the process.

Just let the aim assist do the job basically 😂

It’s degenerate that you just strafe aim those shots. The game should not track enemies for you, you should have to right stick aim to adjust for the enemies strafe.
AA is crazy strong
@@B1OChemist it would be super hard to keep up with the strafe speed, but something should be done to increase the mechanical skill ceiling. Maybe lower the fire rate to make each shot higher risk.
If you’re warming up before you play, you’re not really playing for fun are you? Quit taking video games so seriously.
Some folk have fun by not getting folded by everyone in the lobby. Quit trying to tell people how to have fun in games
Honestly, great advice as some people get so into the ranked grind they forget to have fun. I always tell people to play social or take a break if they are constantly tilted.
The dude is a Diamond 5 at his best, with a lifetime accuracy of 48.8%. Why did you feel qualified to teach people about aiming?
You need a hug don't you
@@venoivizschannel8221 why is your mum offering?
Bro who hurt you 💀
What are your stats then, bucko?
I feel like I can help a lot of people get out of the low ranks. However, I can see how my stats don't reflect my accuracy against a bot. When I first played, I used my right stick A LOT, lol. I did testing, watched videos, and learned things that helped me and started helping people in gold find their aim. I don't think I could coach a diamond. Just give insight. Although, I feel fully confident in my ability to coach people in platinum and below.
Thank you for your comment.
