What’s key is that you know what went wrong and kept moving forward with the board-level repair. It all worked out in the end and you’re a better man for it. 👍🏼
So when you fixed the BCM did you have to do anything with the fuse box to fix the fuel issue? I'm going through the same thing with my 2007.5 ( new style )sierra vortec max 6.0
Awesome job on this one! Takes some guts to run a jumper wire like that😅 ive heard using the wire from a relay coil is a good option too. It has a thin coating of enamel for insulation 👍

honestly just hours of googling and even then I sometimes don't even find out what I am looking for, this one was a pretty safe bet that the needed information was store in the eeprom
@@DTEAutoA year late but i’m currently having the same issues, I need a new bcm, am I safe to assume that changing the same eprom would allow me to bypass the programming? No one here around me can program one
@@hysterical1104 Most likely that you would be ok with that. But I would assume that it depends on the donor bcm you get, your best bet to avoid issues is to source one with matching numbers.
Can I get the same model year from the junkyard and install it without program, i know the mileage will change but that doesn't bother me. Thanks for any info, I just really can't afford a new one because it's for a Saturn l300 v6 and a new bcm is hard to come by

despite the mileage issue, you will still need to get the keys learned

How do u which eeprom to read? Bcz a lot of time there is more than one eeprom on the board
