I don't know how useless would be to mention that Kreia might be Arren Kae, an exiled jedi master, therefore being Brienna's mother. Even though there's no confirmation. White hair isn't an indicator due to Kreia's being white probably from age. But I found the idea amusing that the "betreyal" she whispers through force to Atris is Kreia's being somewhat proud/happy that Brienna broke the oath and betrayed Atris.
I always thought that Kreia was actually sad Brianna followed her footsteps and betrayed her order to be with a man just like she did. Probably does not rank high on the list of thinks she thinks were good decisions. I assumed she was saddened because her daughter had given up everything she was up to that point for simple desire for being with someone, and that would be horrendous weakness in Kreia's eyes.
@@marcojoinha I see it very differently- Kreia calls her "servant of Atris" with visible disgust, seeing her as just a pawn in Atris games, a slave to ideology of jedi guardians. In my interpretation she sees Brianna betraying Atris teachings as becoming free, clashing the ideology she believed in with reality, shattering it and building a new one ( I think Kreia teaches something about making your own complete ideology during the wookie lesson, sadly the game script bugged during my last playthrough and I didn't get the dialogue with Kreia where I can discuss it). But You do have a very valid point with seeing falling in love as weakness, it's why Kreia admires that Revan left everything he valued and loved behind to fight in this new conflict he pursued. In some places attachments like that are only a weakness, although Luke Skywalker would probably still call them sources of his strength, something that can push him above and beyond
The mining clothes you find at the beginning of the game, are the only clothes that bao-dur can wear and still use the force unimpeded. Since all armour's impede the use of the forces. Due to bao's arm he can't wear Jedi robes.
probably, Vrook is worse than my ex gf, dude can blame Exile for EVERYTHING. "I lost in pazaak with that mandalorian mercenary. It's obviously done through the hatred that mandalorians feel for what Revan army did. This would never happen if the Exile didn't follow Revan to war" "my flowers don't want to grow even though I water them everyday. It must be due to the damage the Mandalorian war did to this planet. This would never happen if the Exile didn't follow Revan to war"
Two for one Kotor 1 + 2 fact: Revan's cardboard cape Darth Revan's full set of robes (with mask and cape) are a super popular choice for players to wear in both games via mods. By default, the cape is not animated, is as stiff as cardboard and will show Revan's legs and arms clipping through it all the time when doing anything besides standing still. This is because regular NPC and player animations were not intended to be used on the Revan model, so no attempt was made to animate it, as the only time it is seen in game is in the revelation cutscene. All other scenes of Revan are pre-rendered animations not in the game's engine. It would've been extra unnecessary work, so it's somewhat understandable. In Kotor 2, you actually do see Revan in-game use the player/NPC animation set because you fight him as a vision in the tomb of Ludo Kressh. In cut content, you were also supposed to face the dark doppelganger of you that was briefly standing next to Revan before fading away. His model is exactly the same as in Kotor 1, meaning the cape is not animated and will look just as ridiculous as it did in the first game if modded into it. Obsidian probably didn't have time to animate the cape given the game's rushed nature, but I like to think it was more of a lazy easter egg that referenced how modding the player as Darth Revan in the first Kotor was one of the first things players did when they got the PC version of the game, only to be distraught when Revan's glorious cape has the properties of sandpaper. You can download mods to give Revan a properly animated cape for both Kotor and TSL. Both mods which have excellent quality animations which is impressive considering how difficult it is to mod animations and new models into the game.
It's still a huge shame that we didn't find out what really happened to Jolee, Mission, Zaalbar, and Juhani during and after the events of the game... would have loved hearing at least some implications of what happened to them. Still, another great vid, even if it's, again, not useless. Also, if you want more vids with this format, try using the Darth Bane trilogy, the Tales of the Jedi comics, the Knights of the Old Republic comics, the post-RotJ Legends materials from The Truce at Bakura to The Unifying Force, and the Legacy comics as templates.
They're good suggestions! I have so many ideas for this kinda video. I'm not sure if I should go full steam ahead with making them or take a break lmao
Wasn't it implied that if you play Light Side in K1, Jolee and Juhani rejoin the Jedi Order? Perhaps either Sion hunted them down and slaughtered them both one-by-one, or they were on Katarr when Nihilus ate the planet.
@@michaelandreipalon359 it would also explain why Vandar and Dorak aren't in TSL tbh. I wish we had either of those two instead of Vrook, stories say he was far worse than Revan and Malak ever were.
LOL me too. almost every game I'm like "alright, this is the playthrough, I can do this. am I sticking with the Lightside, no more switching to...*Atris makes her first entry and opens her mouth* Me: "ahh fuck it..."
Visas Marr is, in fact, an ancestor of a Miraluka Jedi you meet as a Bounty Hunter. Also, you can ignore Visas until after you've made the handmaiden a Jedi, because by then, you've completed the objective of forming a new Jedi order within the bounds of your ship, at least as far as she's concerned. After that, there is no massive jealousy on the handmaiden's part.
BONUS KOTOR 1 FACT: 5:24 "Full Darth Revan outfit" While it is possible to get Darth Revan's robes if you are on a dark side playthrough, it is impossible to get his mask and you have to edit your model to "Darth Revan" with the Kotor Save Editor from the Steam Workshop (I highly recommend it playing as Darth Revan throughout the whole game with his robes AND mask be it light side or dark is super cool. Also makes something funny happen during the "plot twist" scene.)
Hmm, a "Useless Info" vid about the Tales of the Jedi comics might come in handy... even if we know less about it than even the KotOR games. Not many of us read comics, you know, and even if we can, they're a bit rare.
Correct me if I am wrong, the name "Darth Nihilus" appears in one of the journal logs, but was never explicitly spoken by any character in the game. In KOTOR II, he was simply referred to as "Visas' Master", "Master of the Ship (Ravager)", and so on. If true, this kind of highlights the fact that Darth Nihilus is merely a Dark Side reflection of Meetra Surik (Jedi Exile) and what she could have become had she turned to the Dark Side.

Last week on July 27th at her movie premiere, Felicity Jones said "I never shut the door on Jyn Erso" it makes me so happy when she says that. Felicity talked about the possibility of returning to Star Wars so I'm still hopeful for that since Cassian Andor is getting his own show. Dave Filoni hasn't put out anything good without George Lucas. KOTOR 2 with another year or two of development would have blown everything about KOTOR 1 out of the water. Its writing already does. We always hear from Sith about how Jedi are bad and from Jedi about how Sith are bad...but it wasn't until I played this game that I truly understood how messed up both groups are. KOTOR 2 seems a bit grimdark and it has real consequences shown from the first game. KOTOR 1 was an amazing game and I love it...but it wasn't that much different than a typical hero's journey space opera (minus the twist). I never felt dread or shame for what I did in the first game. In the second game, just helping some refugees on Nar Shaddaa causes more harm.
Useless fact: 1:50 Jolee's robe is the only thing restricted to neutrality in KOTOR 2. Every other restriction forces you to take a for/against stance: items, force powers, the dark cave, alignment, influence, and whether to give money to the beggar or not. The game really really don't like Apathy, except if it's clouded in a cunning way (e.g. the neutral shrouded dark side of Kreia or if you pretend to be good only to abuse naive people such as Chodo Habat or Dantoine) to some other goal.
I mean technically you can’t say that anything in Kotor is canon because it was decanonized by the Disney Corporation. Also what made certain things like the exile being female or her hair being brown “canon” was Drew Karpyshyn’s “Revan” novel. The Revan novel is pretty contentious among fans of Kotor 2 because it was written solely to fill some of the gap between Kotor 2 and Swtor, yet it was very clear that Karpyshyn knew very little about Kotor 2 and the novel suffers for it.
Technically you can but you cannot say it is Disney's canon Canon just means that it is the original story or how the story is supposed to be, for example: canonically Revan is a man and marries Bastila Sure you can choose a female player if you wish, but that's not the canon story (not Disney's canon, just the canon story)
@@Dave-mf6tj No… you can’t… There is currently one canon in Star Wars and that is Disney’s Canon. Personally I hate that, but that doesn’t change it. But let’s just say for the sake of discussion that you’re right and it is how “the original story is meant to be.” KOTOR is an RPG. Many of the things about the game such as character appearance/choices are up to the player. When KOTOR was released there was no official “How it’s meant to be.” That’s the whole point of an RPG. The “canon” that this guy is talking about comes from a book that was written 8 years after KOTOR was released.
@@pauljohnson2911 that's because you are not understanding the meaning of the word "canon" There is a canon story, which you can read in the novel, or are you saying that the novel is also an RPG book? Because I have read the novel and Revan married Bastila and they have a son, Bastila felt a bit of jealousy because of Meetra and so forth, there is canon within legends Another example of canon within legends is Zannah, she is a female sith trained by Bane, she is not Disney canon but he character being a woman is the correct canon story
@@pauljohnson2911 and about your point regarding the novel, a character or a story does not stop being canon because more lore was available years later It's like saying that all the continuity errors found between the prequels and the OT make the prequels non-canon simply because some of those details didn't make sense or were changed decades lates to fill in gaps and plot holes
@@pauljohnson2911 and for the sake of argument let's say that Revan is not a man, or woman or anything, what about Bastila, is she not a woman? Well, she is, and that is the canon story in both the game and the book, yet your initial statement was that we can't say any of the things in KOTOR are canon, and my response to you was that canon can mean different things depending on the context

how many times is enough times for the Echani poetry and the angelic pickup line? Also, I don't remember the Handmaiden ever giving me a game-long silent treatment, did i play a bugged version of the game?
Chris Avellone in my opinion, to date, might be the only writer who sucessfully attempted to elevate Star Wars above the average space opera good vs. evil adventure scenarios ubiquitous in all other Star Wars media. It made attempts to explore the nature of The Force, to make it more than a plot device that allows the good guys to save the day. But, alas, like many other ambitious writers, his developments were cut short by corporate greed. I hope I don't sound too pompous, but I feel like this is the only piece of star wars media that, in terms of story and world building, rises above the rest in the franchise and shows a more mature side while still maintaining a Teen ESRB rating. By "mature" I don't mean gratuitous swearing and sex scenes between siblings but things that went completely over my head when I played it as a teenager.

I think Mical’s name is actually spoken when playing as female Jedi. I think I found this out during the RCM when he contacts Carth and tells him the Sith will attack Telos before you go to confront Atris.
That Wookie Jedi thing doesn't actually contradict the lore, the Old Republic games are thousands of years before the Death Star alone. As has happened to many other races the force is not inherited like Eye color and such, anyone can be a possible rarity, and there are even some races that treat NonForce sensitives as outcasts. But it is absolutely on Lucas for his "Consistency" at least he had some.
Obsidian literally had to make kotor2 without any knowledge of what actually happens in kotor1. LucasArts wouldn't agree to let them have a copy before it was released. This caused Obsidian to have to quickly play through kotor1 to learn as much as possible and had to scrap basically 100% of the material they had made for kotor2 originally.
Always wondered, what is the deal with that side mission with that dude that claims to rightfully own the Ebon Hawk? I wonder is it a scam? Does one threaten or kill the dude? How is that resolved fairly (light side)?
From what I recall, he later takes over your ship with a bunch of trandoshans, then he gets betrayed by said trandoshans, I think. Never trust a trandoshan.
It is almost certainly his ship, based on his responses telling you a load of info about the ship only someone with genuine experience with it would understand. In cut content, he will enter the ebon hawk at the same moment the Red Eclipse slavers (the Trandos and other aliens you fight on it) come aboard. They will ask him if he is the rightful owner of the ship. He confirms it, then is knocked out by one of the mooks and is detained. When you confront the Red Eclipse leader in the Ebon Hawk, If you kill the leader, the 'rightful owner' of the Ebon Hawk will tell you that there was a misunderstanding and that you can have his ship back and he leaves. If you let the Red Eclipse leader live so that they will serve and pay you, the exile offers the 'rightful owner' as a slave to the Red Eclipse for their spice mines.

More so... As that race tends to be more likely to be a Jedi... and only one Colony was destroyed, and it has only been about 13 generations (likely less in reality) Of the Millions of her race only a little 8000 could be her direct ancestor at the time of Visas.
Given the Visas likely had no children and that so little time has passed, it is actually unlikely they are related.
I was able to come to this conclusion and still go outside...
This one is quite common, and I placed others facts above it and couldn't quite fit it in.
The mining clothes you find at the beginning of the game, are the only clothes that bao-dur can wear and still use the force unimpeded. Since all armour's impede the use of the forces. Due to bao's arm he can't wear Jedi robes.

Yup, Vrook is the ultimate Dickhead of star wars.
There's only one Vrook.

Two for one Kotor 1 + 2 fact: Revan's cardboard cape
Darth Revan's full set of robes (with mask and cape) are a super popular choice for players to wear in both games via mods.
In KotOR 2 restored content mod, you do fight the vision of yourself next to Revan in the tomb. It’s not a long fight, but it does happen.

The most important fact in the video
Correct me if I am wrong, the name "Darth Nihilus" appears in one of the journal logs, but was never explicitly spoken by any character in the game. In KOTOR II, he was simply referred to as "Visas' Master", "Master of the Ship (Ravager)", and so on. If true, this kind of highlights the fact that Darth Nihilus is merely a Dark Side reflection of Meetra Surik (Jedi Exile) and what she could have become had she turned to the Dark Side.
My friend like I said in your last video, this is not useless information at all!!!! Your videos are always fascinating, intriguing and insightful because you continue to expand my limited knowledge of Star Wars. My mate plays through KOTOR’s annually from start to finish. On Xbox, no mods, I think that’s a testament to how good the games are
The holy trinity of Star Wars is George Lucas, Dave Filoni and Chris Avellone
Dave Filoni hasn't put out anything good without George Lucas. And Chris Avellone only made one significant Star Wars work, and that work didn't really influence the Star Wars lore outside of TLJ and a couple of nods in TOR.
Of course we adore it, its KOTOR BB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Disciple’s name is mentioned in the female playthrough. When he contacts the republic/ Carth he ends it with ‘Mical out’.
Give this man a thumbs up he did his research
I loved that last bit about the exile, get em
Technically you can but you cannot say it is Disney's canon
Canon just means that it is the original story or how the story is supposed to be, for example: canonically Revan is a man and marries Bastila
Sure you can choose a female player if you wish, but that's not the canon story (not Disney's canon, just the canon story)
@@Dave-mf6tj No… you can’t…
There is currently one canon in Star Wars and that is Disney’s Canon.
@@pauljohnson2911 that's because you are not understanding the meaning of the word "canon"
There is a canon story, which you can read in the novel, or are you saying that the novel is also an RPG book? Because I have read the novel and Revan married Bastila and they have a son, Bastila felt a bit of jealousy because of Meetra and so forth, there is canon within legends
Another example of canon within legends is Zannah, she is a female sith trained by Bane, she is not Disney canon but he character being a woman is the correct canon story
@@pauljohnson2911 and about your point regarding the novel, a character or a story does not stop being canon because more lore was available years later
It's like saying that all the continuity errors found between the prequels and the OT make the prequels non-canon simply because some of those details didn't make sense or were changed decades lates to fill in gaps and plot holes
I like both videos, and I think it’d be interesting to watch videos about useful things.
This game deserves a remaster with all the cut content added.
That kind of work is very appreciated

*far hotter slab of manflesh* PLEASE LMAO
Because, no matter how you felt, he'd still only ever see you as "General".

2:33 Take notes Rian Johnson AKA Judas Iscariot.
Darth Nihilus didn't become trapped in his armor upon being defeated by the exile. He had infused his essence into it and the mask long before then.
That Wookie Jedi thing doesn't actually contradict the lore, the Old Republic games are thousands of years before the Death Star alone.
