I liked this format. I like the normal format too but I tend to get lost in all the individual series' analyses, so I like this one with a bit more detailed burns to cover that, and then giving just the feature topics the full talking time. It was a nice change of pace and I'd like to see it again sometime.

It doesn't happen often, but I love this duo
I was there, a season ticket holder, a huge fan of the team and Machado, and Machado deserved to be boo'd. Grounding into double plays, three straight ABs with men on, and you're the highest paid guy on the team. Fans have had ticket prices go up each year, and the team continues to suck at home and against bad teams where they have a losing record in both since the beginning on 2023
I was there too, he just didn’t show up at all that series, then turns around and only talks about “tipping his cap” to the Rockies, he just needs to admit when he’s not playing good because that ego is always gonna make it easier to boo him. Even for padre fans
Oddly, all he needed to do was keep the bat on his shoulder because the pitcher out there on Game 1 was walking everyone. Instead, he tried to hero ball and rolled a HIDP instead and ended the game with the tying run 90 feet away. Hell, I would’ve liked a suicide squeeze in that spot. That set the tone the rest of that series.
It’s understandable why Padres fans booed, when the amount of free passes the Rockies gave (well above 15 I think) and the Padres got none of them in to score the entire series.
I fully support this ! I think people give Yankee fans heat for this ! But sometimes the players need to know how us fans feel. We the ones filling the seats and buying merch to pay those contracts!
Machado and Xandy are the worst right now. Most money going to the worst players

i prefer the other format because you touch on every team instead of just the teams that are in the news. I like this show because I get to hear about teams other than my own and the teams that are always in the news.

This format is good. Talk about stuff you know and have something authentic to say. Filling an hour about every team informed by notes and a couple of highlights on twitter is dull, even when it's good stuff about your own team.
Don't mind the new format, miss the awards section.

As an O's fan, I think we're all just happy that the team is staying in Baltimore and we're good. We love this team, and we're just so happy not to have that dark cloud of previous owners over us. Everyday that isn't awful is still a win for us, we're content so no complaints/complaining fans.

I’m down with the new format if it brings Jimmy on more often. It gets a little to rose colored glasses without him. I’d also like to have the normal talk about the biggest series but limit it to like 2 or 3 per league before going into topics but cut en fuego, IL, Awards, and the second half of the show stuff in favor of these topics.

If this becomes the new MLB recap format, I’m not listening anymore. Can’t not have stand out performances, en fuego and awards, and there’s already a show on your network that went over every topic you guys just talked about (Baseball Today) Trying to go in depth on every series in baseball is so informative and why I listen to the show. Also I prefer the 1hr 30 minute listen. Just my thoughts, I appreciate you guys always trying to make the next content, but it was better with the previous format imo
Why would the White Sox trade Crochet and Fedde? I'm sure fans of other teams want that, but it doesn't exactly make sense from a team building perspective, they've got Fedde for a very reasonable 7.5m a year through 2025, and Crochet isn't eligible for free agency until 27, yeah, they're gonna rebuild, but there's no reason to believe the current competitiveness of the AL Central is anything more than a blip, and the Sox won't be right back in contention by next season. I'm not saying they're making any sort of comeback, but they had nearly identical Aprils in back to back seasons, before coming back strong in May. If they can address the spring regimen, and have a better start in 25 they're easily contenders within the central division.
