Thank You. Nice work. Can You please tell me if I should repot my one, which i brought couple days ago? Its autumn already and i don't want to stress her too much in this part of the year, or should i do it? The plant is in perfect shape and there are at least 5 new leafs unwrapping at the moment. Its in a kind of a peat soil. Thanks
Hi Robert, It will be a good idea to repot your plant during Spring season. If your plant is doing well in the same pot then leave it until spring. Plants usually go dormant during autumn and winter season. You can continue to fertilize only if you think your plant is giving out new growth.
I recently got gifted this plant but it looks different from yours. Mine is very clustered and not nearly as high as some of your leaves. (I know is because of age) but is it normal if the leaves are all the same height? Doesn’t look like it’s growing taller and there are about 50 leaves all clustered together. Just wondering if I should prune? Or leave them be?
@Autumn, Yes dear. One stem is enough. They multiply very quickly. Provide it with right conditions to grow and very soon your pot will be full of these beautiful leaves. 😊
@@Homemakr Sadly, it's not same dear. Setosa has 2 varieties - Compactstar & Greystar. "Setosa" means "bristly/hairy" from Latin word. Both CS & GS has hairy stems. This one is Setosa Compactstar - can reach 1-2m growth. I had 73 varieties of Prayer Plants. Just sharing knowledge here 😊
Hi Maria, Thanks for your feedback.I know the video is a bit too long. Will try to cut short. Just didnt want to miss any point. I will making a separate video on propagation as well. Thanks 😊

Thanks for the video! can bleached leaves recover its purple colour?
Yes, They can. If they get the right conditions, they will return back to their normal colour.
@@Homemakr that's a relief!!! ❤️
How do you propogate through stem cuttings?
Once a leaf curles up does it ever recover or should I just prune it?
Yes, they will recover once they adjust to the soil, temperature etc.

A friend just gave me one of these but it is just one stem with four leaves - will it grow bushier? 🤔
@Autumn, Yes dear. One stem is enough. They multiply very quickly. Provide it with right conditions to grow and very soon your pot will be full of these beautiful leaves. 😊
Video’s a little too long. Can be compressed to 7-10mins only to reduce dull moments
Thanks for the feedback 👍
Nice. But this is Ctenanthe Setosa Compactstar 😊
Its the same..😊
Correct. Grey star is similar to amagris :) Silvery color leaves. Compact star is greener leaves.
