This album will age like a fine wine. Years from now when anyone listens back to this, they will get chills. This album is THE soundtrack to living through a pandemic along with the political distress the states have been under during the years after Money Shot. Every Puscifer album has it's own theme and concept but this is the first one that truly speaks for every single person out there. It will bring the listener straight back to 2020 yet somehow still remain completely timeless.

@@oceanmachine1906 everyone has their own taste and it's all subjective, but for me, fear inoculum while impressive to say the least, it really did feel like tool consciously trying to sound like tool, where as this release feels like a genuine expression reaching for new ideas we haven't heard before

@@d1theonly I find the beauty in the time that they spent to create the music. Windy triggered filter sweeps and snare reverb are a means to an end and that end is just their journey in music. I think it's just a really well put together song - better than I could do at the least!

Sense from a senseless universe
It's his split personalities. Tool used to be an angry mess, now they're introspective and observant. A Perfect Circle is where the songs for Tool didn't make the cut, but still sound great. And Puscifer can be emotional and introspective in songs like The Humbling River, while they can be funny and just a joking type band in Country Boner and Conditions of My Parole.
I know the diversity is why I love him 😂

Honestly listening to the album through, the first time i was bored and then i listened to it a couple more times and its absolutely insane im not even sure how to describe it

Maynard says it takes about 7 years for waves of people to begin appreciating these records. Tool, APC, and puscifer. I'm happy that despite thinking it would take me some years to appreciate it, I am now suddenly thrust into it. And it was wine of all things that helped me understand the purpose.

I wish Puscifer went more in the “Monsoons” and “Horizons” direction. The sound and emotion caught in those songs, That whole album was one of a kind, I suppose... 🤘🏻❤️

My god that medley at the end from 5:24 Everything harmonises perfectly, and Carina's voice is just magnificent. This is utterly sublime music. In my opinion its probably the best opening track on what is very close to Maynard's best album.

Reckoning... the exact thing that is desperately needed, yet most simply prefer to remain in the comfortable denial of their bubble and damn 'all the other fools.' Wish we could return to who we seemingly were before the tinkering with reality and the societal fabric began.

I know this will never be seen but this album so far has a very distinct tonal quality that seems to run through all the songs on the album, almost cyber ethereal. By that I mean, it sounds familiar throughout and has a strange commonality in each song with synth, drum and voice being very consistent.
It seems most like a concept album out of everything they have released. Common motifs, lyrics, themes etc throughout the album.
A perfect Union of contrary things.

Bread and circus was what the lower Roman Empire in Africa provided to the upper Roman Empire in Europe before its collapse. An unsustainable economy warded off rebellion for over a hundred years by providing food and gladiators to the population to keep them at bay. Then the empire fell.
Such as the USA and how we traded technology for our God. To the point where jabs are changing our gnome and stifling our connection to source so as mind control will lead to automatons and then transhumanism via total tyranny via tech. Materialism VS Spiritualism.

I really disliked this album at first but I gotta say, after putting on a pair of high quality headphones and just letting it get into me it's freakin outstanding.
And it just keeps getting better!
Got the album day 1. Listened to it about 3 times and for the first time felt disappointed in a Maynard production. But today, today it clicked. Been listening to it all day feeling what I missed before.

Same, I didn't get into as much as I had a little too much of his wine to comprehend the entirety of the album's first listening with some folks. At 1:25 I just close my eyes and get put into this atmosphere in my head that only a few things can trigger, another being from one of Maynard's bands but only live. It's so hard to describe but something I will always stand by when it comes to Maynard's input in his music: The intros are always incredible. This one is not shy at all of another fantastic opening to such a great album.

I love Potions but that tapeworm project was never going to be anything substantial. Maynard and Trent are two colossal talents but in music that type of collaboration rarely translates well. It's better that puscifer is a collective rather than two alphas vying for control.

This is the first puscifer album I've listened to. But I've listened to tool since 1996. Daily for atleast 12 years. I didn't even know about puscifer until a few years ago and never looked into it until now.
give puscifer a good try.. it's hit and miss on what you'll like.. and on the stuff you don't like you should try again.. some of them can sneak up on you after a few listens

But i have a proper stereo and DAC at home and it's a totally different experience, so many frequencies that are complimented by having good tweeters etc.
Concept...for us all now...incredible...one of the greatest written...like dudes off Vietnam...that was a big thing...and so is everything after 2019...
