A new trial would be a waste of time anyway I think she just wants to keep Brian’s alimony money in escrow. The family court judge was just waiting for her to be convicted to rule he will not have to pay her any of the money he was saving. She would have had $1000 a month for 5 years if she was released. She wanted that money. And she is a raging narcissist who wanted to make the trial about her. Vile and gross there are not enough nasty words to describe Sarah
I watch tons of true crime, like a lot of us here. She has to be the least personable/likeable person I have ever come across. Most of them at least try in their lives pre-jury, pre-crime, out of all the footage of her, there is nothing where she even seems slightly likeable. How this woman had any 'friends' is absolutely shocking.
After this case shouldn’t there be a new law that limits the number of attorneys that can be appointed to a defendant?? The amount of time and tax payers money this woman has wasted is unbelievable!
I understand your point, but there are a lot of crap attorneys out there…if someone is facing murder charges, you want passionate representation. I think Sarah is a narcissist, thus the trial, but I would concede some of those attorneys were probably crap, thus the granting of a new attorney by the judge.
Most of Owens's arguments are claims that his client had ineffective counsel. That's an odd thing for a lawyer to say about himself, but his client also disagreed with him repeatedly, on the record. He didn't request curative instructions after his outburst over Jorge's mother quietly exiting the room. He still tried to not ask the questions he wanted answered during the impromptu deposition. And he kept asking if she INTENDED to express any other opinions. Witnesses don't intend to say anything; they can only answer the questions that the trial lawyers ask. She didn't form a new opinion; he never asked the question that he wanted answered.
One of the most ridiculous displays of Sarah overacting and underestimating the jury's ability to see right through her was when she was shaking her fists in the air attempting to show the jury how she was shaking the suitcase to get Jorge to pull his hand back inside (the hand that conveniently was never recorded being outside) and raising her voice saying Jorge Please stop doing this to me, please stop doing this to me !!!...Doing what Sarah ?? The man was folded up in a suitcase barely breathing....Did she even realize how stupid she looked and sounded to EVERYONE, especially the jury...If this case wasn't so tragic 😢 it would be laughable...😂
