- Four homers for the Padres helped them get a walk-off win back at home! According to OPTA, Jackson Merrill is the second center fielder 21 or younger in MLB history to hit 6+ HR in an 8-game span (counting only HR while playing CF). The other was Willie Mays from July 15-22, 1951.

Ceeeelebrate good times cmon
How about that double play that Manny pulled off with the bases loaded in the first inning! Then in the bottom of 1st he hits a two out, 3 run homer! A great inning for Manny!
Yep good call. Huge
Only 1 game under .500 now. 7 to 10 game win streak incoming? Wait to see…
R u trying to be sarcastic or jinx us, ? 😆,
@@brando7266 Is this team capable of thatType of run? When is the last time we did it?
@@brando7266he just jinxed us.
@@jdsthirdthey need to go on a TEAR
@@justing42 💯
Yep, you mentioned the questionable calls, so I won’t be too hard on Estrada. Anyway, whew, and Jake continues to have a good bounce-back season.
we benefited from the ump too. profar shouldve struck out looking but instead a clear strike was called a ball and then proceeded to score off that blown strike call. the mlb needs to get rid of umps entirely
@@AgnusDeiGloria Yes by all means let's go out of our way to completely ruin the game of baseball. Let's completely take out the human element of the game. Why even have players? Let's have robots that never make any errors or mental mistakes.
@@mike-vq8zw it would make the game better lol. are you ok with umpires consistently botching calls that lose teams games? example: Teoscar Hernandez on a 2-2 count tries to hold his swing but goes. home plate appeals to the first base ump and he said he didnt go when he did. it wouldve ended the game but instead the ab continued and on the next pitch teoscar hits a homer to win the game. manfred is at least adding the ability to challenge a call for both pitchers and hitters, which will most likely eventually lead to an automated zone which will benefit the game as a whole.
@@AgnusDeiGloria what I am for is breaking the empire's union and allowing the owners to crack down on the bad umpires and if necessary replace them. Right now the umpires run the show and the league does nothing to some of the worst of the worst umpires while their peers also protect them. It just needs to be cleaned up.
@@mike-vq8zw that i dont disagree with. but i believe umps are too bad to be umping this game and we need a better officiating system
How ironic to break Willy mays record right after he passed
2:12 I agree as the game comes to a end campy gets really lazy
He sucks defensively,
@@brando7266 blocking balls at a critical time and throwing out runners when it means something are all foreign occurrences to old "campy ".
@@mike-vq8zw the more I see him, the less I like him, he's so bad defensively, has no defensive instincts ,
No Manny Haters 2night??
Buddy, there will always be Manny haters. It’s who he is.
No need to. We support our guys we want them to do well. When they don’t fans get frustrated
Manny just needs to STFU and perform. Last night showed he isn’t injured. It’s all in his head. When he wants to show up he does.
BIG DUBS💛🤎
You going to the game tomorrow? I’ll be there for Mexican heritage night.
Yup I’m going tonight
@@TalkingFriars good win
I thought the manager should have let Mazur face one more batter, let him try to become the pitcher of record but I'll trust Shildty on that.
I don’t think the players even really care about that anymore
@@TalkingFriars They care. The manager and organizations don’t care.
I WILL call it lazy. Old campy wants to be a starting catcher in Major League baseball, but he better wake his ass up behind the plate. A two-run lead with a runner on third and a ball bounces in front of them and he lazily tries to backhand the ball. LAZY, LAZY, LAZY!!! Not the first time he has pulled this crap and there is nothing to work on. You are either lazy or you aren't, and he is. He's taking his position for granted. I would tell him wake the hell up or he will be reintroduced to the minor leagues. I have no faith in that guy behind the place. Glad the Padres pulled it out in the bottom, but what he pulled just CAN'T HAPPEN!! And for those who don't think so, it IS a big deal.
Sign gomes, and send campy to the minors, till he can play defense on a major league level,
@@brando7266Get your boy AJ on the phone and tell him to get busy. Or you can wait until you see him in bed tonight. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@brando7266 with a runner on third a catcher is supposed to just naturally knuckle down and try and block ANYTHING thrown his way. Instead his lackadaisical "style"allows a run to come walking home without a play in a tight ball game that the Padres fortunately pulled out in the bottom of the ninth. AT THE VERY LEAST, he should be sat down for a few days just to think about it, but of course that will never happen. The patients run the asylum.
@@mike-vq8zw I'd split the time more with higgy, lucky we have Salas coming up next yr,
@@brando7266 Don't rush him, He's not doing so well right now along with the rest of the boys down on the farm
Where are all the haters tonight?
All the haters who want to see this team win consistently? I’m sure they are around. How about a 7 to 10 game win streak now and get comfortably above .500? LFGSD
@@jdsthirdu do know the brewers r a first place team, no one is expecting a sweep, it's like u r being passive aggressive, come out already- u bleed dodger blue, lol,
@@brando7266 You mean you don’t expect a sweep. I have expectations for this team. When they aren’t met it’s because they didn’t live up to their potential. You should try raising your expectations. Get out of 2022 and get into 2024.
@@jdsthird he doesn't know how
@@jdsthirdwhy would you continue to jinx us?
What can't be pulled with a runner on third is the same as Manny not running out a ground ball. LAZY !!!!
manny machado was 2-3 with a homer single walk 3 rbis and 1 DRS today. Respectfully shut up
You're so impressed over one game.
@@mike-vq8zw no im just not going to critique a guy who had the best individual day on the team in a good win. ive critiqued him plenty even since last year. i will hold the same measure and praise him when he plays well and today he played like the best player on the team. hopefully this game sparks a hot finish to the year
@@AgnusDeiGloria I think if you check you won't find me going out of my way to critique him that day. My critique was specifically on the catcher and his lackadaisical play to allow a run-in.
Respectfully read before you write.
@@AgnusDeiGloria actually when I mentioned Manny I was comparing his previous lackadaisical play with the catcher allowing a run in. I guess it would be asking too much for you to read carefully before you jump to a conclusion, only to look like a fool.
Fatso Machado ....gone!
