You're completely missing out on the main point. What did Peter want? It's his trust. His legacy. His assets within the trust that were passed down. You're too young to fully understand the full scope of what's going on here. If Peter wanted Sheel as a trustee of his own trust, he would've made her own. The trust itself is stating she's not included in the trust? Why is that? Not sure but Peter left her out for whatever reason. Regarding the control person, Peter specifically stated the trustee is responsible for deciding the control person. Again with further confirmation, if Peter wanted Sheel to be the control person, why would he leave her out as trustee then also leave another layer of protection by giving the decision making authority to the assigned trustee? Stop looking at all the he said-she said and stick to the legal facts

Dodgers fan here and not to hate. Trust me when I say that the McCourt era was a freaking joke. So glad that is history. So I understand the uncertainty that the fans are feeling. How was the franchise set up? Was it only Pete Seidler as the owner? Part of a group? Sheel is his widow, was she involved in day to day operations? Was she co owner? The brothers seem to be business guys and Sheel has the fan mentality I think. Neither is a plus or a negative, just observation. Obviously the franchise is valuable and worth at of money. This is what I feel it comes down to. But also there needs to be a way of respecting the late Mr. Seidler’s wishes. I think Sheel has an uphill battle in this. The dudes seem to have been prepped for this, like you mentioned dates and have paperwork it seems. From what I have gathered, the fans want Sheel in charge, correct? Obviously if the brothers have failed to uphold their obligations, then that’s a plus for Sheel. But in reality, if she wasn’t an owner, she shouldn’t be upset about not being in the owners lounge. Sounds like a 1st world problem. If the brothers wanted to relocate, and they are the managing partners, that’s at their discretion. I think this is a long haul type of situation. If she said the relocation thing to garner more attention, that leads me to believe what else is being said in hyperbole. Just honest thoughts and opinions. Feel free to discuss as I’m interested. Obviously division rivals and such but don’t wish organization disarray on any franchise or family.

Baseball needs to step in, have their lawyers read the will and leave this crap in the courts where it belongs and get the Padres back to baseball business and trying to build a contender, for a while card. Let's pay more attention to how this team is going nowhere fast. How they have left numerous players go to other teams for virtual pennies in today's market. Let’s say your family owns a business. Let’s call it YouMart. You founded it along with your siblings and you’ve controlled it for many decades. Like 30 years or so. One of your siblings gets married and a few years later the spouse comes to you and says hey my deceased spouse wanted me to control and run the YouMart family business along with MY children. Your sibling never told you this and his legal documents and trusts doesn’t reflect this either. The widow is regularly seen at the YouMart location and customers are friendly with them. What would you do? And more specifically what do you do if your sibling made it clear they wanted control of YouMart to remain in the main family’s control? The sibling never while they were alive made any moves to bring the widow into the business. And the widow signed documents while the spouse was alive and after their death that confirms this. What do you It’s extremely easy to leap to conclusions based on public statements on what’s on Twitter/X however in the real world there are two sides to every story and if something doesn’t make sense it’s usually not true. Buzz words like racism, sexism, and relocation are purposefully used to illicit strong emotional reactions so the thinking part of the brain turns off and the feeling part of the heart takes over. Those words are used with intent and calculation. It’s difficult to remain neutral until facts and evidence from all sides become apparent and evident. We think we know but we don’t. Would you bet your life on any of them being 100% wholesome and honest in these matters? Having said all this I’m team Peter and at this point neither side has demonstrated they care enough about the Padres to resolve this family dispute behind closed doors so the optimum course of action is to sell the team to new owners that will put this mess behind the Padres and the fans. We don’t deserve any of this and we are truly the ones who matter. Without fans there is no team or franchise.

Third, if you don't think this affects Sasakis decision you're insane.
