- Can you pronounce these Polish words? I think these might be some of the most difficult Polish words and short sentences. Try to say: Chrząszcz or Szczebrzeszyn or Wyrewolwerowany Rewolwerowiec or Żółć. Good luck!

👍🏻 / polishlets You can find me here. I add there more usefull things, sometimes just funny things :D
a classic polish rhyme for kids
"Szły pchły koło wody.
Pchła pchłę pchła do wody.
Potem pchła się popłakała,
Że ją tamta pchła popchała"
bgnmpc
W Szczebrzeszynie
chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie
a Szczebrzeszyn
Z tego słynie
Jola lojalna Jola nielojalna
Król Karol kupił królowej Karolinie korale koloru koralowego
;)
Damian Wyrębiak A myślałam się kolorowego xd
I'd rather surf porn and play Fortnite, but thanks!
Nawet ja tego nie potrafie przeczytać xd
Savignylol
That sounds incredibly immature. I mean how are you going to enjoy the porn if you’re playing video games?
I have no problem pronouncing Finnish, but Polish is tough for me!
Väinämöinen.
You forgot that "żółć" also means "yellowness" :D And szczęście has two meanings too: happiness or luck, depending on a context ("Mam szczęście" = "I'm lucky").
Sorry for being such a s-marta-ss and giving you lectures all the time instead of just saying it's a good video xD Because it is!
..."ździwił" though?
That's ok. You're right, szczęście means also luck :)
Bile is pronounced BAJL :) We also say 'spew bile' where you throw out hatred.
Podobne do plucia żółcią :)
szczęście a szczęśliwy to nie to samo ^^
to be correct "żółć" is what we have in stomach, yellowness is "żółcień" almost nobody knows about that but it's true, my polish teacher told me that :)
I’m a native English/Spanish speaker and learning Polish and German somewhat simultaneously for when we travel to Europe. The pronunciation is fairly straightforward in Polish as it’s a phonetic language like Spanish but German is so close to English pronunciation. But both languages have some very difficult words to wrap your head around.
Dziękuje bardzo za wideo. Oglądanie było bardzo zabawne.
to uczucie gdy uczysz się języka którym mówisz całe życie (mówię o sobie)
w sumie kazdy kiedyś uczy się języka którym mówi całe życie
Vlight I ja tez xddd

My friend who is a polish immigrant told me some tongue twisters and thats honestly how I became interested in Polish.
Wyrewolwerowany rewolwerowiec was one of the ones he told me.
Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz usłyszał szczebrzeszyńskiego chrząszcza brzmiącego w trzcinie na stole z powyłamywanymi nogami.
O ja cie xD jak to przeczytać? XD
That is my new favorite sentence.
When I was learning Polish I had a REALLY hard time with "cieszę się" and "czesę się". And "prosię" and "proszę". The latter could put me in an awkward situation.
Twój angielski jest na bardzo wysokim poziomie, kolego, ale Anglicy mówią 'worth knowing' zamiast 'worth to know'. Dobre wideo :)
omg I understand what you mean, I'm learning!
I'm pretty good with Polish pronunciation, but these were tricky. Great video, dude!
Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz
My favourite polish actor 😊
Dżdżystym rankiem gżegżółki i piegże, zamiast wziąć się za dżdżownice, nażarły się na czczo miąszu rzeżuchy i rzędem rzygały do rozżarzonej brytfanny.
miąższu*
Dobry przykład btw ;)
PIĘKNE XDDD
i'm from austria. i'm learning polish for some time now (still far away from good, but i love this language haha)
words i find difficult to pronounce are:
lśni and łzy
przestępstw
czasoprzestrzeń
if i find more, i'll add them haha
Bile is pronounced B as in Book, I as in Eye and ul as in Look or fueL or another way of thinking it, remove N from River Nile and replace with B :)
Your rant at 1:47 made me laugh so much, I didn't read the translation, I listened to the words you spoke and several stood out that made me aware of your anger and swearing LOL
I am a massive fan of these helpful lessons as they helped me impress a Polish cleaner at work (not for vanity but respect for them not having very good English and I wanted to show them we have trouble with languages too lol) I simply learned jak sie masz and his face lit up and he seemed much more happy and comfortable talking to me after. Now he greets me every time he sees me and I think I made a friend :D Of course I was so afraid I would fluff it up but I must have got something right :/ :D So thank you, or should I say, Dziekuje (sorry my keyboard does not have the accent letters)
Piękna akcja , rozpowszechniasz nasz język , język skądinąd trudny w wymowie i w gramatyce .Pomagasz Polakom , którzy nie mają do czynienia z mową polską , obcokrajowcom w przyswojeniu sobie chociażby jej brzmienia . Masz dobrą dykcję . Brawo i dziękuję ci w imieniu Polaków :)
Bile is from liver, from pancreus you've got enzymes and insulin. Taki szczegół. Polecam filmik z kanału US Embassy Warsaw, kiedy to dyplomaci próbują się zmierzyć z polskim językiem. Moje ulubione to "Suwalszczyzna" i "jajecznica ze szczypiorkiem" :)
Wow, your humour is super-lovely! The pronunciation is the "Rubicon river", isn't it?! Gratitude for sharing! :-)
Pamiętam jak byłem młody w nazwie bajki "Tarzan" nie mówiłem: "t a R Z a n" tylko: "t a RZ a n" :D
Marcepanowy Czyli czytałeś ,,Tażan" {Specjalnie napisałam ,,ż" a nie ,,rz"}
Tardzan
Ja też XD
Ja zrozumiałem co to było. Bardzo mi miło ze mną bo uczy się po polsku
The cartoon grzegorz brzęczyszczykiewicz, was my introduction to the Polish language!
I finally got how to pronounce "rz/ż" but "dź" and "dż" are difficult and I never thought that exist double "dż" in one word D: Thank you for the video, hope your having a great week :D
rz and ż, perfectly the same :) Dź is much softer. I recorded some videos about diagraphs, maybe some day I will explain the difference between these two. Thank's! I wish you great week too :)
Just think of Dż like G without i.
Like Dżemorek :D
Eyyyyyy :D
Trzeba pamiętać, że *marznąć*, to podobny wyjątek w wymowie, jak śródziemne ;)
When Ruch Chorzów played in European football on BBC World Service they read rusz szorżou
Poland needed an ambassador for the Polish language like yourself ❤️
dude !... youre great explaining stuff . Do some basic dialogs in polish with only subtitles translating, that will come perfect. God bless.
My God! So difficult words.
Xd
*Try pronouncing these Polish tongue twisters:*
Leży Jerzy na wieży i nie wierzy że na wieży leży Jerzy.
(George is lying on a tower and he can't believe that George is lying on a tower.)
Stół z powyłamywanymi nogami.
(A table with broken legs.)
W czasie suszy szedł Sasza suchą szosą i suszył sobie szorty suszarką.
(During a drought Sasha was walking down a dry street and he was drying his trousers with a dryer.)
z twoim "polskim" głosem byłbyś idealnym lektorem do filmów ;)
It took me 3 hours but I did pronounce them all correctly except for "Źdźbło". It's just not working for me lol. And yes, bile rhymes with style or dial or the name Kyle. Another great video! Dziękuje bardzo!
Imagine thinking in western Slavic for a day, whilst being high!
Greetings.. some of my family one one side... both mother and father are Polish.. but on fathers side they spoke something called Kashuba... sorry if this is not quite correct.. what can you tell me about this. Also would speaking that indicate what part of Poland they emigrated from? Thanks. Dzienkuje.
Kashubian language or dialect is not used in everyday life, except some old people. It's known only in the northern Poland.
So cute love it.
Quick Tip: In America, Bile is pronounced like (BYE-ill) :) Good try though, and love your videos! Liked and Subscribed
Oh, thank you :) I used GT and there's a woman's voice and she seems to be British.
No problem :D You can also pronounce it like (Bye-ull) either way you chose we still can understand perfectly 👌 Thanks again for the awesome Polish videos, this is the best channel for Polish I've come across thus far and love it
zolc jest produkowana w woreczku zolciowym kolo watroby a nie w trzustce :P
Not sure why, but "Wyrewolwerowany Rewolwerowiec " is really easy for me to say; the "r" makes it quite easy (Im Czech)
+eliskakordulova nice:) show me some Czech tongue twister:)
Alright, gladly:)
1) nejkulaťoulinkatější (to be reealy round)
2) Nenaolejuje-li tě Julie, naolejuji Julii já
(If Julie doesnt put oil on you, I´ll put some oil on Julie)
3. Strč prst skrz krk (Put your finger through your throat) - dont think too much about the meaning hah
I mean, my friends agree these are hard for some people, but also commonly known tongue twisters :)
eliskakordulova when I translated 2. to polish, it's also very difficult to say ;)
Can anyone explain me when the final ę is pronounced "ew" and when it remains "e". I saw Poles on the Internet pronouncing dziękuję or trochę as "dzinkuje/troche", but the pchłę is like "pchwew". On the other hand, thank you for the video, really useful for me. I have learned a little Polish 2 years when I travelled to Poland and many words worked for me, but I still have the problem with "rz" xD... Thank you!
Hol volt, hol nem volt I asked the same from my friend who speaks polish and he said some people pronounce the ę but some don't...
"Ę" isnt "EW" :) "Ę" its "Ę" ;)
most of poles don't pronaunce ę because that is easier and quicker say it with e he used proper pronunciation but in every day circumstances we say e at the end of words
Ę is usually dropped at the end of the word. So będę is pronounced będe etc.
Thank you very much guys for your explanation. It was very useful!
I actually managed to pronounce some of these, mainly because I can speak fluent Russian. And Russian and Polish have a bit similar sounds.
It took 1 year for me to learn how to pronounce "Grzyb" :))))
Na wieży jest jerzy i nie wieży że widzi sto jeży
Lepiej- siedzi Jerzy koło wieży i nie wierzy że wierzy że na wieży leży gniazdo nietoperzy ;)
DevranMr łatwe
I can't pronounce almost any of these!😂
Masz zajebistą dykcję ziomek :D pozdro
The Polish language LOVES to layer a bunch of consonants in one word hahaha.
super!
The one I always have trouble with is skrzypce. And I play it!
Wyrewolwerowany rewolwerowiec na wyrewolwerowanej górze rozrewolwerywował rozrewolwerowanych rewolwerowców
Wyrewolworewany is like a someone doing a stick up with a pretend gun, maybe using their fingers covered in a jumper to look like a gun.
ЖЕЛЧЬ
Do you have some tip for learning polish? I mean I already speak hungarian so I understand how hard it is 😂 but I do want to learn it properly.
My biggest advice is something like that: Talk, talk, talk, the more you talk, the faster you learn. No matter if you started today and you can't say a proper sentence. Just try and you will see how fast you will learn. Most of my English I've learned that way. I've never used any book. My English isn't perfect and I make tons of mistakes but you can still understand me :)
Let's Polish tak samo jak ja niemieckiego :D
Jak na Polaka dobrze Ci idzie wypowiadanie polskich slow :) niestety, nie kazdy polak tak umie :D
Polish language isn't hard but spelling is really crazy!!! (I'm russian native speaker)
I can handle "Ł" sound but "ą " is very difficult for me. It is very unusual for russian spelling
I heard Russian pronounciation terribly difficult. Ie cognitives
Gosh. What a "language-porridge"😆 (comparison)
How is beetle (Chrzascz) pronounced? Can one spell the pronunciation as if you were saying it in English? I can't understand what he's actually saying with the phonetics....
bile is said like "bail" in polish writing
0:40 "when we makes" jest niepoprawnie. Dosyć ciekawe wideo btw :)
jesteś z polski ? bo masz świetny akcent
I speak Zulu, Arab,English,French... Honestly Polish is very very easy to pronounce thanks to the fact that these languages i learn have very difficult sounds...they got my tongue used to flexing.
I feel you man i got a hard name as well
Ale śmiesznie jest oglądać jak cudzoziemcy uczą się polskiego xd
Żółć wcale nie znaczy hate. Jest różnica między znaczeniem słowa a dodatkowym, kolokwialnym zastosowaniem. Nienawiść to tylko dodane znaczenie rzeczownika, który dalej oznacza substancję z wątroby.
T h x for helping me learn polish, just love the sounds
Do you say pani to a woman or to a man?
pani to a woman, pan to a man
'Treacherous' language to read and pronounce. The mixed consonants are like mountain ranges. But Mom knew it so I need to learn and carry on family heritage
Nothing reads how it looks! Spanish easy in comparison!
if you want some hard polish words check out "laryngektomowany"
that's actually an easy word
grzegorz brzęczyszczykiewicz xD
A można było powiedzieć (i tak się w sumie mówi): jestem pełen entuzjazmu 😄
I'm a American but my last name is polish, it took me forever to learn to say it correctly
1:56 - 1:58 I thought you speak the same dialect like people from Eastern Slovakia do 😂
"bile" is pronounced like "nile" or "tile"
or using the polish transliteration : "BAJL"
super filmik, a tak gwoli ścisłości, to żółć produkuje wątroba :P zbiera się ona w woreczku żółciowym i wspólnym przewodem z trzustki trafia do jelit :P
A widzisz, akurat gdzieś zapodziałem dyplom z anatomii :D
Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz
Łódź 😀 Tak a propos słowa z polskich znaków 😊 Fajny filmik tylko jedna poprawka. Zdziwić a nie ździwić. Archaiczna forma słowa to zadziwić, i mimo, że potocznie mówimy slyszalne ździwić, poprawna pisownia to zdziwić.
Mo Bo Popieram: poprawnie jest " zdziwić" przez "z"
Cześć jestem z Polski. Witam was bardzo serdecznie w moich progach
ur eyes are so pretty :)
Darek, bile is pronounced like pile or smile.
jestem niemalże 100% pewien że "wyrewolwerowany" nie znaczy że nie masz broni, a co się wystrzelałeś z naboi i tym samym wyrewolwerowałeś swój rewolwer ale nie mogę nigdzie znaleźć w "internetach" potwierdzenia tego co mówię :/
( zresztą tak samo jak nie mogę znaleźć twojego opisu :) )
Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz. Impossible to say.
"Bile" is not a word we would say all the time. Its a medical word. Its pronounced like _mile_ (as in miles per hour)
In russian: ščastie - happiness ; Želč - this yellow pisswater ; Doždlivyi - rainy ; pihati - push. But shit if i hear it in polish i dont understand anything😂
Cyrillic alphabet was specially designed for slavic languages and has more letters that can reflect specific polish sounds. Because latin alphabet has no such letters Poles have to use these ridiculous combinations or modify some letters like ź, ć, sz, cz.
Example: Brzeczyszczykiewicz -> Бжечышчикевич.
B -> Б
rz -> ж
e -> e
cz -> ч
y -> ы (this is a single letter)
sz -> ш
cz -> ч
y -> ы
kie -> кье or ке
w -> в
i -> и
cz -> ч
As you can see cyrillic alphabet has separate letters for special sounds in Polish. Polish language IMHO should use cyrillyc instead of latin alphabet.
Mała nuta: żółć jest z wątroby, nie z trzustki.
Hopefully, my Polish is polished in this instance. :)
Kurna myślałem, że moje nazwisko jest raczej jednym z tych rzadkow występujących, ale im częściej wchodzę do netów tym bardziej widzę jak bardzo się mylę... Xd
Zwłaszcza jak wejdę w coś (strona/kanał/cokolwiek) anglojęzyczne...
As nice as exhausting...
*sees video*
*IMMEDIATELY THINKS OF GRZEGORZ BRZĘCZYSZCZYKIEWICZ*
Stół z powyłamywanymi nogami ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Bile in English is pronounced “Buy-ull”
It sucks that I still have problems pronouncing źdźbło but hey I can do some of the longer words :D
also, I thought Polish people don't pronounce the ę at the end of a word? Pls correct me if I'm wrong!!
It's not true. Ę at the end of the word, for example "Ja biegnę" shouldn't be pronounced. "Ja biegne" is correct. Saying ,,ę" at the end of the word is called hypercorrection.
It's acceptable novadays to pronounce the ę at the end of first person verbs as "e". It's also acceptable to pronounce just a hint of it.
In the beggining of the last century peasants skipped it and nobilty pronounced it, so some people show off and pronounce it very prominently and that is actually incorrect (and also sounds pretentious).
Some regional dialects also pronounce "ę" at the end of words as "em" and people use it sometimes for comedy effect to "speak like a simpleton".
Lech Wałęsa famously said "Nie chcem, ale muszem" instead of "Nie chcę, ale muszę", which his opposition used to portrait him as uneducated fool.
ę
źdźbło trawy - in slovak steblo trávy:)
we pronounce bile as :B-eye-el
Zamiast uczyć się na historię, oglądam lekcje polskiego xd
I'm sure someone has already corrected you but "bile" is pronounced with more of a Y sound. Bye-ul. Anyways love your videos.
Every time I hear poles say chrząszcz, I never hear the rz sound, just sz. Are they mispronouncing it?
You hear it correctly. It souds like sz. It's the matter of the accent. Like "the". Sometimes it souds like de, sometimes like di (spoken by the same person).
A gdy sierpiec na niebłoczu łyście,
W cieniem ciemnie jeno niedośpiewy
W białodrzewiu ćwirnie i srebliście
Słowik słowi słowisieńskie ciewy.
Konstantynopolitańczykowieneczka :)
Weronika Szpucha
Dziwiędziesięciodziewięciogroszówka
this is the only word i can pronounce
That is not complicated, that is only long
Konstantypolitaniczkowiczuwna is properly...
*ówna
Try "pocztmistrz Tczewa
qrdeeee teraz się męczyć z tym będę.....,. xD
Nawet syntezator mowy w google translate ledwo daje sobie z tym rady ;)
My name is Darek too😅😅
As Polish person i can’t say wyrewylerwowany
Even write💀
Powiedziałeś, że żółć jest wydzieliną z trzustki, ale się mylisz. Jest to wydzielina z woreczka żółciowego, która spływa z wątroby ;)
Natalia Sadecka w woreczku się tylko gromadzi
Serbian sounds so easy when compared to Polish 🤣😘 Love Poland 💖
Желч, bile, is produced by liver, not pancreas. Among all Slavic languages, IMHO, Serbian is the most melodic, with Russian and Polish being the hardest to pronounce.
Szczęście mean luck and hapiness
