This might be exactly what i need. What is the highest object you can now put under it? approx 14cm i think?

Did you have enough length on the Z-axis acme-threaded rod to use all 5-3/4" of height? Or did you have to replace that acme rod as well?

Yeah, I moved onto a larger CNC machine project, and this machine got passed on to another workshop member. Sorry for the frustrating lack of completion.

Hello Michael,How much accuracy or improvement did changing out the corner plates with 1/4" plates give your Xcarve ?I'm trying to improve the stiffness of my machine and wonder if this would be a good thing to do or not.
