- Billions of synchronously flashing fireflies turn the pristine forests of the Anamalai Tiger Reserve into a carpet of yellowish-green. These tiny creatures rival the giants that walk these lands.

I can't explain why, but seeing them just shine and sparkle in the dark like that brought tears to my eyes. Nature is so wonderful and we should do everything in our power to protect it. Thank you for this beautiful and educational video.
Right? I thought i am the emotional one here... but I guess real nature appreciators do feel that overwhelming happiness and awe when seeing things like this.

Absolutely stunning film. Thank you for doing this work! will be sharing far and wide.
This is absolutely beautiful!
Here in Jersey, we have seen a huge decline in fireflies. It's rare to see them in large numbers during the summer months.
Thank you for bringing this to light. We need our little magical creatures to continue to enlighten both our imagination and our appreciation for nature.
Amazing work!
Florida too. I have not seen one at all in the last couple of years.
presentation, music, voice everything is made a beautiful documentary.thnk you for sharing this beautiful nature magic with us .🙏🙏
I remember when I was a child in the 1960s seeing these beautiful fireflies almost every evening. Those days are long gone I never see any now. What a shame.
I've been seeing them a lot in North Florida, every time I've gone into the forest at night recently it's been amazing. I never saw fireflies in Orlando as a kid.
Wonderful movie! Thanks Sriram
Incredible! Pure Firefly Magic! Thank you for sharing your beautiful video!
Great job you did bro. Awesome
Absolutely beautiful....the sight of these fireflies, sound of the Anamalai jungle in the night...its breath taking. I still remember, it's so fresh in my memory...when I was a teenager way back in 1990 that as a family we stayed for 2 days in the Nagerahole ( Karnataka Tiger reserve) jungle resort...we saw these fireflies during the night in good numbers on the trees and some of them coming near our rooms, we even tried to catch a few but failed...it was just a mesmerizing moment that we cannot forget for a very very long time...I wonder whether we can see these minmini flies illuminating the Nagerahole forest now as we saw in those days...
Simply beautiful! Thank you! Last night I saw one firefly in my garden. The first in many years. LLAP! 🙂
A wonderful reminder of who we truly are, perfect beings of light!

Awesome..nature is always beautiful in its own way.thanks for capturing it and shared with us all.
Incredible. So inspiring and beautiful!
In 2014 on a nature trip across southern India, i passed this reserve, but we did not stop and explore Anamalai. Never knew this place put on such a magical show at night!
Thanks for sharing.
I cried,...
Beautiful...
Such a beautiful natural phenomenon😍..beautifully captured and thanks for sharing with us!
I grew up in a part of the US with fireflies. We called them lightening bugs. I moved away a long time ago and my visits back since then have been during the winter holidays. . .except once when I went back in the summer. I saw the lightening bugs for the first time in decades. It was magical!
Beautiful
Very nicely done , really enjoyed seeing this video
Thank you....
magical!
I remember once seeing a meadow totally lit up with American lightning bugs as they waited on the tops of the grasses. The lighting looks like waves of yellow. Very rare to have that big of concentration where I live. I can imagine Anamalai would be truly magical in person but that does defeat the purpose. Thank you for sharing this with us so we can enjoy it.
Hi great video!!. Can you help me with the best time to visit ATR to witness this and exact location in ATR please
We used to call them lightning bugs.
Great work given to all
Hermoso 💥💥💥
Light pollution from nearby settlements will be the biggest issue. Jeopardising their biorhythms. Even red light spectrums affect bioluminescent insects, so even low Kelvin LEDs affect them. Even low amounts of lux from sky glow affect their breeding cycles. So no light is the best light for the reserve and ideally 100km around it. Tough ask. We need to educate all city and town architects.
Great work
great effort great presentation . .... Thank you Mr Sriram murali
