Why was none of this in the video? Lazy.
Absolutely beautiful to watch.
As a kid I'd stay out to watch these at night. A beautiful memory that I truly miss. ❤
I rarely see these anymore. Would you know why? Bc they're all in Mexico? 😂
Could've been better without the pointless model.
Southern Sass they do same thing once a year in Cherokee, NC at the national park. Park fills early and they close gates and it’s amazing. I’ve never been but they showed it on local news.
Amazing 😀
"You would not believe your eyes, if ten million fireflies lit up the world as i fell asleep, cause they feel the open air"
Everyone:
National Geographic: “10 Organisms That Dance Better Than You”
"You must walk miles into...." the woods in a flimsy nightgown with no leg coverings.
Yeah, that's just silly. And I don't think the fireflies would care for the lantern much, if they prefer a moonless night.
This is absolutely beautiful .... BUT... we also included a pretty girl wearing almost nothing. :P
great comment ...she is quite delicious, all the same ...real beauty
Leeches gonna be leeching
For those who are cynical of their beauty portrayed here, it's totally real. My house is nearby a firefly sighting zone and we'd go there annually to see their magnificent show.
Where is your house located?
@@windiandini6919 Look up on Kuala Selangor's Fireflies.
Epic voice!!! Can I hire Blake to read me a bedtime story when it’s raining ? ☔️ 💤
To me it seemed like an overkill, almost ruined the beautiful atmosphere of the video.
Try Michael Sealey videos
It's so beautiful... just like watching a fairytale movie 🦋
One must feel in paradise with dancing fireflies
He did such a great job . Loved the way he filmed this mesmerising video.
Ive seen this first hand...its mesmerizing... seriously.. nothing like it.. magical
You would not believe your eyes if ten Million fireflies..........
Wow. That's beautiful. I live in the city and I have never seen so many fireflies in my life in all my years. My grandbaby was scared of all the bugs she said. I looked up and they were all around her. Thank you for the wonderful share
U are living in mexico
@@googolnews2781 😁I'm in Missouri but it sure does seem like I'm in MEXICO by the looks of all these fireflies 😉
@@juliemarvin101 it means u are living in Missouri , India as tourist.Great INDIAN CULTURE 🇮🇳
I hope this will never be extinct!
They are becoming extinct, unfortunately. At least here in the US.
Im a fan of their existence, though i never see one in real life, not yet.
Please wait for me, until then fight for your existence. Your life may be short but your living it with so much worth 💛
Absolutely beautiful! Like a scene from a fairy tale🙊🌻✨🌿
I Love it This Majesty & Beautiful Fireflies!! ✨😍💕✨
Voice was so soothing :)
How spectaular. This is truly worth waiting to see.
I love firefly 🥰🥰, watching here from Philippines 🇵🇭,.
Haven't seen one since childhood until tonight a few mins ago. I'm still in tears....We humans have annihilated so many beautiful and innocent species from the world........
Saw the making of this film too... A true labour of love. You had made your own little universe of stars there !!! You were truly Blessed... 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
What an enchanting voice!
The voice is too epic
MexiCOOO
Beautiful night shows such beautiful thing magnificent
Fireflies were nice and all, but the woman was the true beauty of this video, absolutely stunning.
WeirdChamp Clap
But totally unnecessary
Nice trailer, when is this movie coming out?!
In theaters *summer 2020*
Magical! Absolutely breathtaking...😮
So mysterious, magical, mystical, and we still don't know what chemical they make to cause them to light up and mate.
This also happens in my backyard... Here in TN. USA, almost all summer long!! Beautiful!!
South side of San Antonio, most summers
I just L O V E this video. Love it, adore it, cherish it...I could watch it all day long. The music, the fireflies, the narration...it's just perfect. A really great job. I love fireflies and I often go and watch them in the summer nights. But here, they're not in such a frenzy, neither are they the synchronizing species...but they're still beautiful.
Wow this is amazing. Next destination trip yay!
Girl turn off the lantern.
Welp, looks like I've got something else to add to the list of things I need to see before I die...
Who else love fireflies 💖💖
👇💖
What a stunning Night Show! 👏
*That Voice!*
Nature has really given us a captivating scenery.
Este video merece mas de un millon de vistas. Me extraña🤔
This guy has an asmr voice so 😌 relaxing
Late at night, waiting for a bus, i turn on youtube,
hmm..
What can i watch..?
Two fireflies mating..!
that seems innocent enough,
at least i won't be creeped out waiting in the dark.
Then the voice began......
How did u FEEL after watching this at that time?
Outstanding film brilliantly narrated. Could this possibly be the voice to supersede Sir David Attenborough?
no
Disappointing you don't need a lady walking around with a lamp. I tuned in to watch the fireflies
I agree. Totally ruined it.
If i am not mistaken you need the soft lit lamp to attract the fireflies in one location. Much Love 🕊️💗🕊️
@@Toni-Marie not true, I have one of those firefly lights and when I turn it on , the fireflies come out ..I sit on my porch and watch them for hours.
Why is she in a nighty after walking for miles into the woods?
I was screaming, "turn off your stupid lantern!"
His voice!!
The background track here is insane. What is it?
What a voice...
Nat Geo! Have you thought of featuring the fireflies of Kuala Selangor, Malaysia next? Those are on a river bank. Amazing and stunning like lit up christmas trees!
Yes this flies have same species found in different parts of world
When you play owl city songs in the woods
Almost true
Absolutely beautiful, gorgeous, stunning...

The fireflies aren't bad either ;)
Natgeo: *showing female human in a half transparent underwear with heavy breathing in the background*
Me: FFS I came for fireflies! 😣
If it makes you feel better, I mated with her shortly after.
It's hot there. Cloths were not even close to transparent. Go take a cold shower ffs!
Nature's Glow Sticks :)
I miss seeing them while i was kids at the rice field. But sadly they are extinct now (in my area) I think because the farmers using pesticides. It's very sad 😭
🌳🏮🌲 The tale of a beautiful Lantern girl in the magic forest 🌲🏮🌳
Wow those fire flies are PRETTY 🤩
whoa
When I was a kid we had them in Iowa. Loved watching them.
The Highlands of Tlaxcala, México🌧️🌾🌌🐝🌲🌲🌲
You would not believe your eyes
Pile of pants! A Beautiful Model manages to wander deep into the forest,,, in the middle of the night,,, in just her nightie and an old oil lamp to navigate by and YET, catches the only hour in a year to crush some fireflies in her hand (at the end of the video!)🙄
*fireflies starts playing*
You make us all beleive in magic with a movie like that. Thanks NG.
Absolutely MAJESTY & BEAUTIFUL ❤️ CRIATURES in This Blue WORLD!! 🌎
I @dore & I LOVE so Much!!! ✨😍💕✨ Greetings from San JOSE NERIA (Frontier Futboll Soccer "Lonch El Barrilito") Near Chocaman Veracruz Mexico!! 08 Agosto 2022
I was there this weekend. It's something you have to see by yourself.
So spectacular
In the philippines, palawan island you can go on a fireflies tour by boat on mangrove trees magical
Really beautiful✨💛
Hope to see it one day!
Worth waiting 2 weeks. Luvd it. Thanks. 😊
Just like a fairy tail
Wow... this looks so magical I can’t even-
Standby Tlaxcala Mexico, every female in the world is going to want that shot for their social media profile
Wow. So beautiful. 😍😍
amazing,
in my place there were so many fireflies but now they were gone, :(
That ElfQuest fireflies scene, though...
Thank you for bringing nature to our living room. However, unlike Sir David Attenborough's voice , the narrator sounded too creepy. A beautiful lady walking around in the wood with a bright lantern at night took focus aways from what you intended to show--magical fireflies.
Wish I can document a fireflies like this . We get a lot of fireflies on the grassland every night
Random off topic:
The place is Tlaxcala, Mexico. I just finished watching Age Of Empires 2 Walkthroughs regarding the Montezuma campaign.
At childhood in my village i seen huge number of fireflies they made dark night so beautiful...but in 6-7 years now i can rearly see them ...i don't know what happened in these years with them
Due to light pollution, they extinct in some places.but in forests, they must exist
I saw this once before about 17y ago, so cool, I wish I can see it again sametime
Simply astounding
Nice both the fireflies and the girl lol . but seriously my town was small as a kid and full of fireflies 48 yrs later very rare to see them now :(
Yes.we call this flies JUGNU in india.but now they are not seeing any more in night.
Wow.... I also experience this like environment ....it's really beautiful gift of god
Narrator please less Batman voice next time. Felt like The Rock was going to appear in an action sequence with the bug
I saw two fireflies in my house.
Gorgeousness✨
Nature is beautiful
STUNNING STUNNING STUNNING
I’ve never actually seen a live firefly before- still hoping to one day
Confused about video dynamic range: seems like lantern light would be so much brighter than fireflies - way overexposed vs. fireflies. Anyway, guessing some very fast lens used.
Doug Grinbergs Hello, I’m the film director. Actually the firefly and the lantern are about the same brightness. The lantern is turned to a very low setting. The footage reproduces closely the experience of what you would see with your own human eyes looking at the scene, once they are acclimated to the darkness for a few hours that is.
wow beauty
Stunning footage
Turn off the lantern! You are there to observe the firefly dance without polluting their space with artificial light, have some respect. Imagine if this becomes a touristic thing and they only have one day of the year with right conditions and people mess it up..
Dear National Geographic, may I ask who composed the beautiful music? (around minute 2 ff.)
I remembered Owlcity.
Beautiful night
Wow awesome
Amazing video its looks like star have come down to earth. During night time.
Only one hour a year- and you'll see them IF , if I happen to choose the RIGHT spot to see it..?? In the Dense Mexican Desert...?? ODDS ARE; this May be the ONE- I can cross- off of my Bucket !list..and feel okay about missing it!!!
Quite a misleading title.
Hermoso Mexico 🇲🇽
That narrator's voice..
Uh, yeah..
Take notes.. All others.
Marvellous💚
