Filmed from the look-out point to the west (I think?) of the airport. That is not me talking in the background but a Bhutanese guide and an American woman.
That is just so amazing how insignificant the aircraft seems in front of those mountains at the start of the video, and how insignificant those hills become only seconds after this aircraft lifts off into its majestic flight.
Cda
A very interesting and profound point. Thanx for that.
The ones behind those are even bigger!
Thats in my country. And yes its one of the most dangerous airport in the world. Its a himalayan nation so theres no option than to make it amongst mountain. There are only about 8 pilots in the world certified for flying plane there.
8 pilots? Cool
But they are all happy pilots.
There must be more than 8 pilots
Oh...I love it, I must go to fly there some day. It is beautifull.
thank you very much,
Lucky to have this experience three times in my life.
Beautiful Country, Beautiful people.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is flight risky here ?
@@risshiig Not risky but Adventurous. They have skilled pilots. Its like a rollercoaster ride once enter in the territory of Nepal till you land in Paro.
@@mohdaamir3386 Oh ok . I heard its world most dangerous airport so .
@@risshiig Yes it is one of most dangerous airports.
@@mohdaamir3386
Is it near Lukla?
excelente video, se puede apreciar como remonta la aeronave rapidamente para pasar sobre el cerro, muy buena toma.
15 means the runway is in the direction 150 degrees clockwise from north
It is one strip but two runway headings depending on which direction you are using. Rnwy 15 and Rnwy 33
150 (15) and 330 (33)
150 + 180 = 330
Who could give a thumbs-down to such a nice video?
Some few who doesn't likes Airplanes and flying..
That was beautiful!!
At an altitude of 7,332 feet, it's amazing that the plane can get off the ground on such a short runway (6,445 ft by 95 ft.) Great vid.
I watched the other videos and saw they bring down the flaps like 2 or 3
I think that can explain why
To put that in perspective, that's 1,965 metres long, which is just short of 2 kilometres.
Tem que dar toda pressão pra vencer os obstáculos. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So wonderful. . Super.
It's amazing. .
does that work for all runways at any airport??
Awesome view. Look forward to watching more of your videos.
Bhutan is my favourite country I love bhutan
That is some serious climb!
Dctt
Paro is in Bhutan and Bhutan is in Asia if you don't know. :)
I knew.
Thanks. Great video.
Beautiful.
My goodness that must be a engine failure nightmare. The training must be intense.
Splendid take off!!!
Thank you for sharing this nice video! Btw, the aircraft is taking off from runway 15 (south-easterly direction).
Very nice and beautiful scene
When I took this flight out of Bhutan, prayed several Hail Marys with closed eyes. Once you are out if it the scene of those tall Himalayan mountain just make up for the nerve wrecking take off.
The view .... Now I see where Gaijin got inspiration from for one of their Aviation Arcade maps.
Pm knoll A
I went to Bhutan a few years ago, that airport is scary to land and takeoff from. The country is beautiful and the people are great. My only problem is that the food they serve is Americanized. The hot spices are cut way back. They are mainly vegetarian but serve a lot of chicken to the non-Asian guests.
I LIKE THAT QUICK LITTLE CIRCLE DONUT HE DID BEFORE TAKEOFF
@greenteavideo 15 means the direction: as in 150 degrees = south east. 180 = south 360 = north --get it!!!
One has to make an U-turn at the end to turn around?
Muy peligrosa esa pista con montañas enfrente mis respetos para los pilotos
J h
Amazing ...wow
Smithsonian Air and Space magazine has a feature on this airport currently.
*Flying through the valley is best alternative to climb up to high altitude. Save fuel and strain to the engines!*
Nice spottingplace! Tanks for Sharing!
Onde fica esse aeroporto????
Kind of like taking off at John Wayne Airport in Orange County California except for the fact at John Wayne they cut the power to 1/3 after leaving the ground pretty sketchy takeoff
itrue professional - magnificant take off
Wonderful
@sunamer the 15 has notihng to do with how many runways there are. It means the runway is facing 150 degrees.
Cirkusrevyen
Espetácular cenário.
amazeing capture
@greenteavideo but you can land from 2 directions, so you say 2 runways, and we name'em with their radials
Thank you for the nice video 👍🏾
좋은 영상 감사합니다
Very nice take off......!!!!!
How long is that runway? It doesn’t look much more than 2000 feet.
Very Nice ..Thank you😃👍
Beauuuuuutiful
Yes. (To the nearest 10 degree mark.) When the magnetic variation changes over time, the runway designation will change periodically.
Question: why can't they land in the same opposite way? Obviously the plan can have a big % slope climbing rate but the opposite is not possible? More dangerous? Or maybe it is the camera who deform the reality. Anyone having the charts for arrival and departure could confirm or infirm? Thanks.
Where place is this airplane running ?
Very dangerous airport
That is a place where the call 'positive climb' would be particularly important.
Quelle folie que ce mur face à la piste.
WOW Congratulations All,
Yes, one runway, but with two courses
150 (15) and 330 (33)
150 + 180 = 330
Desipachara
Plenty of excess power there. Nice.
That was beautiful😍👍
Beautiful
What a beauty 👍
Where is this Airport?
Not bad but back during the Vietnamese conflict I spent a little time at Anderson AFB in Guam. I watched B52 and KC 135 refuelers taking off from there. Loaded with bombs or fuel they would drop down out of sight and the end of the runway and after a while you would see them pulling up heading toward Nam. There was a large drop at the end of the runway and it was too short for those big planes loaded.
الله كانت رحلة تزلج اناوملفي وحديجان واصهريج وبوناطح وناسه مابعده وناسه
وين كنتوا
@greenteavideo 15 stands for 150 degrees:)
Aircraft must have excellent climbing rate
Very well thancks
Very interesting
Очень красиво
Technically there are 2 runways one from each direction. So you have Runway 15 and Runway 33.
Just like take off from the domestic departure st Kathmandu

Small airport but nice looking . From, k.singh Rajput Rajasthan
Just beautiful ;-) Respect.
Airports around he globe will vary in the true magnetic numbering, since it is changing rapidly now!
They should connect up the neon rubidium propulsion drive
Good job pilot
That's a pretty steep climb.
Amazing. Great flying!
I can hear that stall warning from here.
and if it loses one engine, how to do? Pray?
Go to hell
Those pilots had to have nerves of steel to dare try that at such a high altitude. Just any problem and they are head first into one of those mountains.
nop it is easy like bread abd butter.if u are familiar
Between hills you can not see the real distance from you stand point view. Gracias por compartir y Saludos.
I'll bet it felt good to Blast Out of there and get clear of the mountains.
But,need to show of his landing too right there, the best pilot in the world braviest
That not many knwon,,
Wow gd amazing wonderful owsm sir 😍😍😍😗😙
Boa
Tell us where is Paro, please.
In Buthan,in the Himalayan Mountain chain,a small Buddist Country in Asia, where I nevere been yet to,,Sorry.
@indiavideo Runway 15? But... but... there is only one runway!
ต้องระดับปรมาจารย์นักบินสุดยอดมาก
Nice
This is really breathtaking, he got only one shot to pull it off the ground.
Same goes with any takeoff 😂
👏👏👏

Nice Video!

Where's my AB, when I need it?

Ah oui ... quand même ... bravo
Respect to the pilots who go to work in the morning and pull that off.
