  • 🌳 Join us on a delightful family adventure at Lim Brothers Orchard Durian farm! 🌳
    In this video, we take you along as we explore the wonderful world of durians. We made an early morning booking for our family of around 6 people, ensuring we beat the rush and enjoyed the serene morning atmosphere.
    Upon arrival, we were greeted with a basket filled with a tantalizing array of durian varieties - from the robust "Cher phui" (Green Skin) to the lusciously sweet "Hor Lor." Each fruit offered a unique taste experience that we savored to the fullest.
    The orchard was bustling by 11 AM, reminding us how fortunate we were to have timed our visit perfectly. Pro tip: To avoid crowds and traffic, consider visiting earlier in the morning!
    We spent about an hour indulging in these creamy delights while soaking in the tranquil surroundings of the farm. With the durian season just beginning, we're already planning our next visit to explore more varieties and create more memories.

    Hi, saw you bought some nutmeg back. May I know what do you do with the nutmeg?

    • @pishedbloke
      @pishedbloke  16 днів тому +2

      My wife makes nutmeg syrup with it. You can use a slow cooker, fill it up 50% nutmeg, 50% rock sugar and let it cook overnight. No water! Next morning you will have a dark delicious syrup, you can mix a tablespoon with a cup of water to make a refreshing nutmeg drink. :)

      @emilygoh7235 16 днів тому +1

      @@pishedbloke Wow, just learned something new. I love nutmeg!! BTW, do your wife use only ripe nutmeg?
      Usually I would buy the bottled syrup when i visit Malaysia but most times the bottled ones were rather diluted. Thank you and a belated Happy Father's Day!!!!

    • @pishedbloke
      @pishedbloke  16 днів тому

      @@emilygoh7235 Yes we only use ripe nutmegs. The seeds can also be dried, then cracked to get the spice inside, for making cakes and cooking! Can try lah, it is not difficult.

    • @perwiranegara4679
      @perwiranegara4679 16 днів тому +2

      Try not to get MK in penang as the best ones are still from Pahang and Kelantan.
      Among the best varieties that we should try inside Penang island are
      Hor Lor
      Green Skin 15 aka Cheh Poay
      Capri
      Ang Hae aka Red Prawn
      Khun Poh - Ang Bak
      Tien Song
      D11
      Kunyit
      Lipan
      LCY
      Lim Fong Jiao
      For D200 - Orchee aka Black Thorn, the best one is produced in mainland Penang, specifically in Sg Jawi. That's the birthplace of Orchee.

      @@perwiranegara4679 Yes I agree!!! MK from Penang is not the best, better to get from Raub area or even some Perak areas. I like eating the ones more prominent in Penang, Red Prawn, Hor Lor and Green Skin.
