What helped me with fear in the park is go out into the trees or something find some nice snow and build a jump then once you got a feeling for the trick into soft snow you can then take it to the packed shit this doesn’t really help with rails but fuck rails they destroy your skis

I m in my 30s and sometime I get too comfortable with life and lost the edge. After picking up park skiing is definitely helping find that courage to step out of my comfort zone a lot more. Life changing. Thank you so much for the video. When I m feeling scared in front of a jump I know I m not alone haha.

Honestly best way to learn rails is to just practice and try and get farther every time and once you get one rail try a more difficult one

If you want to get better at rails, the biggest thing is confidence imo. This season, in only 3 days, I learned to consistently lace both unnatural ski slides and FS switch ups. What it took was an entire day of getting frustrated because I didn't have the balls to transfer to the unnatural stance. Eventually, you just get so frustrated with yourself that you finally send it. And, if you are willing to commit, you don't necessarily have to get hurt. I'd recommend trying spins-on and switch ups on a tube first. Super low-risk, they usually have high lips, and then to try any spinoffs on taller normal rails. Have a good season and good luck in the park!

hey, so I just got my first pair of twin tip skis (nordica soul rider 84) and I skied them for the first time this weekend and i'm really dissapointed. They feel the same as all the carving skies I had and they're really boring. They're not really flexible and very thin for a "park" ski. The only real reason I bought them was because the ski shop only had 2 models. Do you think I just need more practice until they are fun?

I think you should start posting videos on how to learn tricks in the back country because park isn’t something everyone is into and the fear factor is a lot bigger in the back country because your not going off man made jumps most the time it’s just drops and small lips but it’s a lot more air and it can be a lot scarier especially depending on the line you choose to take down
