That first example of a backseat jump looks exactly like my jumps that I've been struggling to figure out how to fix. This is incredibly helpful, thank you!
I'm not a ski coach but something I picked from mountain biking is the phrase "you gotta stand up to the jump" which is both psychological and technical as it's taking confidence i to the jump and standing up straight (popping) at the knuckle of the take off. I was told the perfect time for completing the pop was as your toes reach the knucle
Was practicing Popping and sailing the jump over a 2nd feature Thursday was a lot of fun along with mixing in Spreadies & Safeties. Highlight of the day was when I sent my biggest jump over a mound of bushes, only to see I was landing in a big snow crack! I caught a 2nd big air after popping out my bindings upon landing to the delight of the chair lift above me. Only bloodied my chin a bit didn't even feel it. Do my best to entertain!
i struggle to ski switch in a straight line. the pressure on my switch downhill ski always make me turn or initiate a turn ... so tend to turn my hips less so that outside ski has less pressure
Thanks for the guide. My back tends to slouch forward a lot so I've experienced the opposite where I've had some scary forward landings. It's good to see the optimal position referenced here.

@@mattwoodford1820 Yep it's a psychological barrier for me. I just have to keep pushing until I get it. This'll be the season!

Good catch! It's crucial to get that position dialed in.
