Thanks for the tips, they are really helpful! This season I tried one right 360 (I spin left) but I didn't land it, and we had to leave after my first attempt, but I didn't get to go skiing again because of corona. But, I have learned opposite corks on my trampoline, so thats good (:
As someone who learned most of park on a pair of crappy Rossingol race skis and some low end boots in a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt, the first one is questionable, but it will help
It will defiantly help, excepcially if you want to take it to the next level and progress faster! I learned on a pair of un centre mounted Rossi's too 😂
I was really good last year and could do a lot. But last year I broke my collarbone and have been scared to try things again. So right now it’s just about building confidence again. Been binge watching videos like this recently.
Hey great video man. Really solid advice can’t wait to get into the rest of your content. I remember actually seeing you at Whistler a few times and never really said anything but I’ve been studying a lot trying to learn the mentality for corks this upcoming season. You are definitely right about the spinning both ways too, I used to only spin 3 and below both sides but now when I throw a 7 I sometimes forget what way is my natural spin it’s kind of funny and really handy any time you have to carve into a hip like feature.
I can definitely do that man! I was thinking of saving those style videos for next season so I could film the on the actual hill and do the trick on camera... what u think??
Honestly very good tips I don't think I know a whole bunch of people who have that mentality to work off the mountain too, but great advice also I recently just learned opposite slides and I noticed it helped with my regular slides in general so great advice!
Thank my guy ❤️❤️ I really appreciate it! And yeah dude, the off hill work is where the magic happens, boosts your confidence for when you get back to it! - Big hype on the unnatural slides my guy ❤️❤️
thank you very much it really helped me because i dont have park near my home so i am tryiing build the jumps in freeride i have pipe on my backyard and training on trampoline so thank you
i recently broke my collar bone on the hill and i'm stuck at home for six weeks... so, this is going to really help while i'm stuck at my house! thank you for these tips!?!

What you mean you no where near a resort. I’m down here and I just go to big bear or mammoth. It does help having friends to spit lodging cost for 3-4 day trips
Honestly man it just comes with experience, however when you first starting out you should ask to follow other people who have already hit the jump 😄❤️
I don’t care about comps at all, and will probably never compete, but just want to progress and throw the best tricks I can, do you think learning right side tricks is super important if my only goal is good left side tricks? I haven’t really had a problem with spinning right on rails, feels different somehow, but I am really not sure I could do a right 3 on a jump. Would right spins improve my left side consistency?

I mounted my skis progressively which is like -7 I think. Is that bad for park? because I heard park skiers mount it true center but now I do not have money to remount. I also ski everywhere else in the mountain like trees too but now Im questioning whether I mounted wrong. What do you think?
@@BruceOldham thx for replies fellas. im in my 30s and i have to fly out to go skiing. i get a good 20 days in a year if im lucky so im trying to maximize the gains in a short amount of time.
ive been getting more into park skiing and im mostly a mogul skiier, i currently have a pair of id one mogul skis but do you reckon its worth getting another pair of skis for the park?
@ A73fn - anything will slide the rail, but a slalom ski or directional ski is sharp, stiff, and made to get a bite on the snow…almost exactly opposite what you want in the park. A twin tip ski will make your experience much more enjoyable, but certainly don’t let a slalom ski stop you from getting in the park and having some fun.
I really wanna go practice and like get good at park but the freakin park rats they are so mean to me and if I had like someone that was respected there teach me how I would totally go but I’m to scared of embarrassment
I’ve had this one go either way…can certainly fire you up and smooth out the rough brain, BUT can also give you the heebie jeebies and take away confidence. It’s a drug, so you never know.
when you looking good you feeling good haha you have no idea of real self-confidence right? I learned how to drive in a Honda accord. That doesn’t mean it’s faster than a gtr. Learning park on twintips will give you a huge advantage.
currently learning park in a $100 set up of $40 boots and $60 skis and i’m loving it
"most of park" on race skis. Yeah sure.
