Cyclops was an absolutely underused asset in these movies. Aside from the fact that James Marsden is awesome as a serious actor as well as comedically, the banter between him and Wolverine was great.

They should've also play out the Wolverine and Gambit's dynamic frenemy relationship on screen if Gambit ever were to appear in the main X-Men films, but I guess they've enjoyed wasting potential on every characters that aren't named Wolverine, Mystique, Charles, and Erik.

But both these two dudes share quite an intense rivalry which mystique wouldn't have known as well, and so Logan insulting Scott works too.

While turning off your suspense of disbelief is probably for the best with this movie, there I'd one explanation that might make sense. Mystique has a greater control of her shape-shifting powers than you might think. Possibly to the point of making the bone claws she used dense enough for the job? Probably not something she could sustain indefinitely though.
That part is still believable. The parts I was a bit "wtf" was that she was going to stab Cyclops with them? How? I assume she would use her nails, but they appear as claws, but still, I don't see her nails doing much to Cyclops. It would make much more sense if she just attacked Cyclops her usual way (with her close-combat skills, to choke him, for example. Even using his power against the others by pressing the visor to open). The other obvious part was she trying to fight Wolverine with her made-up claws. Also when they were in a separate room, she doesn't need to hide anymore and can just go full close combat on him. Not trying to protect herself with made-up claws vs adamantium...
It's sad that there are people who wouldn't know that, they would think that it was just a cool sounding name, the same kind of people who live in the U.S but can't point to it on a globe.
If you noticed she said that she didn't "see" anything. Logan was trying to "smell" her. So she wasn't paying that close of attention to the X-Men to actually pull off an on point Logan.

Fun fact: Bryan Singer originally had Chris Potter aka voice of Gambit from 90's animated series to audition for Cyclops for the first X-Men film although Chris Potter never wanted that role because he doesn't want to wear dark visor throughout the entire time, so as soon as he finds out he didn't get the part, he was relieved.
Agreed. I hated how they've underused Gambit in Origins Wolverine and Taylor Kitsch had to pay the price for that. Even after that movie, he gets tossed again and wasted Taylor's talents. If Hollywood hadn't been too obsessed with over exposing Hugh's Wolverine and Jennifer's Mystique, then maybe every other mutant would've given a chance to shine.

Just the claw. She can emulate any other mutant's abilities but only visually, so she still had the claws, they just weren't indestructible, they don't translate to anything in her natural form.
I'm guessing he took off a bit of skin from her knuckles. Because she did seem hurt, just not the type that would come from losing something important.
Because in origins: wolverine, Logan got his claws crushed and he passed TF out.

Also, the claws clearly healed offscreen, considering that when Wolverine sees his adamantium claws for the first time, the ones which were broken are no shorter than the ones which weren’t broken.

Cyclops literally has a better sense of spatial geometry than Captain America and can ricochet his beam off of services better than Cap can do his shield. In a real fight, all Scott would have to do is take his visor off and look at Logan for 2 seconds then he'd be gone. The movies just tried to make him look lame to boost Logan, Scott is cooler in everything else.

Edit: apparently mystique can simulate the powers of other mutants just without the original properties. So they were claws and worked like them, but they don't have the durability like the original and they don't actually affect her original body.

You know I never understood how mystique was able to replicate wolverines claws. What was it that the real wolverine cut off ?

While turning off your suspense of disbelief is probably for the best with this movie, there I'd one explanation that might make sense. Mystique has a greater control of her shape-shifting powers than you might think. Possibly to the point of making the bone claws she used dense enough for the job? Probably not something she could sustain indefinitely though.

That part is still believable. The parts I was a bit "wtf" was that she was going to stab Cyclops with them? How? I assume she would use her nails, but they appear as claws, but still, I don't see her nails doing much to Cyclops. It would make much more sense if she just attacked Cyclops her usual way (with her close-combat skills, to choke him, for example. Even using his power against the others by pressing the visor to open).
The other obvious part was she trying to fight Wolverine with her made-up claws. Also when they were in a separate room, she doesn't need to hide anymore and can just go full close combat on him. Not trying to protect herself with made-up claws vs adamantium...
