In my opinion, games aren't to be compared with eachother. They are separate entities, and similarly, you wouldn't compare your brother to your best friend. They're different people, and should be treated like such. You can love them both either way.

There are way too many "Games suck nowaday" comments. There is still plenty of originality in video game music, story, level design, characters, etc. Anyone who takes time to look for a great game in the current gen. will find it. Sadly though, too many think everything today is "all about graphics". Oh well, you can't please everyone.
On a side note, Banjo Kazooie is a great game, and has aged like a fine wine.

Youre right too look GTA, Assasins Creed, or Beyond 2 souls, THOSE games have a great story, and they dont fix on graphics(see gta V)

I would talk about what I remember from this game and all that's great about it, but we would be here for days. Banjo-Kazooie is simply an example of a game in which so much went so right. And after many years of moving between different gaming trends I can still take a step back, turn on my N64, and marvel at what is pure, undiluted brilliance.

I started 4th grade almost immediately after unlocking this level. Our first homework assignment was to bring a kid's book from home to read aloud to the rest of the class the next day. A girl in my class actually brought in a book about the seasons, so when she was reading about spring I naturally thought of this level. Can't believe it's been 16 years...wish I could remember the name of that book.

But if I have the cartridge, it's tangible. I can hold this. I spent my money on this and it's mine. And also, I feel like there's just a certain magic to popping in the cartridges.

Greatest game I've ever played. It's sad that in this day and age we've yet to see a game come even close to what Banjo-Kazooie was and still is. If I ever have children, I'll make sure they play this game. One of my fondest memories from when I was a kid.

If I could pick any tune to be my theme music, Click Clock Wood Spring would be it! :3

I first saw this game when an old friend was playing it. Not long after, I had my parents get me an N64 for my B-Day and only this game just so I could listen to the music again.
I just wish I would've known about UA-cam back then..
