A320 Engine Failure in the Cruise

In our A320 simulator we demonstrate the initial actions following an engine failure at flight level 340 (34,000') and the information that the aircraft presents us with.
Interesting Stuff / Further Reading:
During this demonstration we left the aircraft in 'NAV', rather than selecting heading as suggested. Depending on the airspace/geographical requirements, after selecting heading it may be appropriate to hold that heading, turn 5 degrees or make a larger turn (over the ocean or perhaps a turn to clear other traffic).
This video demonstrates the obstacle strategy. The alternative to this is the standard strategy whereby the aircraft is descended at 0.78M / 300kts to keep within the stabilised windmill engine relight envelope. You can always switch between the two strategies!
